AM- awake at 6 am (PDT) after a poor less than 8 hours of sleep. Husb has a medical appt this morning. I was trying to decide if I should come along, or if that would just be weird at this point in our lives….

AM- awake before 7am (PDT) after 8+ hours of sleep.

Today is the 9th anniversary of my mom’s death. I’ve been feeling it all week…😔She died exactly a month before my 53rd birthday, on the day of the 1962 Columbus Day Storm. Every year around Oct/Nov throughout my life, she recalled how she “lived through that storm” with 2 little boys, while she was 8 months pregnant with me. The impact of her dying on that day in particular was significant and symbolic in ways I am still unwinding….
Outside is mostly sunny, with smoky haze in the horizon, 45 (F)degrees feels like 40.
