Have you ever tried stuffing your dates with cheese? It's pretty tasty.A little snack I've made is get a few dried dates and warm in the microwave, this softens them then I'll make a slit and push in a cashew or walnut piece.
A snack for me is usually a sandwich like sprouted grains bread, with mashed chickpea salad.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ROASTED CHICKPEAS!!! Season them right, and they taste like fried chicken skins!Roasted chickpeas
I dunno: I would be pretty excited if someone set up that charcuterie board for my snack time.I have recently been just making a small charcuterie board every day for the kids I watch... Since they're little kids, I don't make it fancy... my last one had clementine sections top left, two different types of (non-spreadable) cheese top center, apple slices top right, oyster crackers lower left, pecans bottom center, and teddy grahams lower right... They're lacking as far as charcuterie boards are concerned, but they're perfect for kids ages 2-10.
Not much nowadaze, usually something like banana walnut cake or Portuguese custard tart or chocolate hazelnut croissant. This is not a put down. But doesn't anyone eat cookies anymore?
The cravings that take 3 or 4 store-bought cookies will be satisfied by just one or two really GOOD, homemade cookies.
Yeah, that happens to me when I make my very most favorites - peanut butter or chocolate butter cookies. Those I have to only bake 3 or 4 and freeze the rest of the batch unbaked. They don't take that much longer to bake from frozen, and when I want cookies I have to make the conscious choice of how many I'm going to pull out and bake at a time.if I make a batch of cookies, the knowledge that they're there digs and itches at my brain until they're gone!!!
