I feel like I've gotten off to a good start in 2024. I'm adhering to my diet as planned, which requires extra preparation and planning. For example, I spent the whole day at a friend's house playing strategy games on Tuesday. I prepared and brought my lunch and dinner with me. Today, my first day back at work, I prepared snacks and lunch in advance. Following the NIP diet aims to achieve a long-term dietary change. Therefore, I'm utilizing my past experiences with NIP to create healthy and tasty meals that align with Phase 1. I've attached pictures of my meals from the past few days.

Additionally, I've managed to train every day. On Monday, I did three sets of 10 push-ups. I helped a friend with a study project on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. So, yesterday also involved a micro-workout: three sets of 10 push-ups before bedtime. I consider this a success, as my most crucial aspect is not to rigidly follow my training program but to ensure I exercise daily.

Today's Fit December workout looked deceptively easy at first glance. However, the deceptively easy ones often end up challenging me the most. I was ready to give up after the first set but soldered on. I took short breaks between each exercise, which helped. The plank rotations combined with the other plank exercises, in particular, proved quite challenging for me.

It's been a hectic week. Last Sunday, I visited my eldest daughter in Odense. It was Mathilde's 50th birthday on Tuesday, celebrated with an evening gathering. At work, I had to prepare a new topic in mathematics, focusing on probability theory. I also needed to develop a teaching module for Wednesday and Thursday's classes where my students started to create a business or product using various analytical tools like the Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas, and SWOT analysis. The students are also required to program their website as part of the project.

Consequently, my weekly training was limited to brief sessions because of a tight schedule. I managed to do 30 push-ups before bedtime, Monday to Wednesday. I opted out of training on Thursday and Friday as I needed extra rest and recovery. Nonetheless, I successfully stuck to my NIP diet and No Sugar Challenge, which I consider quite an achievement, especially considering the birthday celebration and my cravings for sweets and easy carbs due to fatigue on Thursday and Friday.

It was great fun. We had a skilled instructor who was good at creating a pleasant atmosphere and making us laugh. The dance itself had a lot of fitness dance elements. It challenged me since I had never tried it before. So, it wasn't easy to follow the choreography because it went very fast. But then I danced at my own pace and followed along as best as possible.
