Oh, yes, @NightWolf714, they certainly do! I like to go early in the morning or late in the evening, so there's hardly ever anybody else there.:glee:

@NightWolf714,:tuzki-love: i really appreciate your encouragement; i am actually quite a mess right now.

The book is Ireland by Frank Delaney. The good news is that it has pulled me out of a reading slump; the bad news is that it has become very escapist for me.

All before breakfast:) I just really needed to be done! Totals is a re-badge, but i did it years ago (and it was updated last year). I struggled with it; i think mostly because i found it difficult (mentally & logistically) to spread it throughout the day. I've been struggling with everyday life in general during this time, so i am sure that contributed. Anyway, i am glad i did it, and doing it with other Bees kept me from giving up, so infinite thanks to @Maegaranthelas, @Matan, @graoumia, and @NightTigress; long live the Hive!

Working up a bit of a reset to begin on Monday.

Congratulations on completing the Upper Body & Core, and 1000 Calf Raises Challenges and on re-completing Totals, @Mamatigerj !

Great work sticking with all of that, especially through challenging times! Serious props to you, MamaT! You are an inspiration. :heartsit:
Also:  for the challenging times. Just...

Thank you all for your support and encouragement! It's what keeps me going! In the grand scheme of life an exercise streak is not that big of a deal, but it was the only plate that i managed to keep spinning over the past six or so weeks, and for that reason it was very important.
This time of year is always rough for me here in Central Texas; summer is so extreme and lasts so long. (Summer SAD) On top of that, the month of July was overly busy. Two areas in which i struggle anyway completely fell apart: my housekeeping and my diet. The things that normally bring me joy: reading, walks outside, quiet time alone, crafting, even participating here in the Hive, were either negatively impacted or i just didn't have the energy or focus. Then, unhealthy coping devices swooped back in: primarily mindless snacking and television watching late into the night, which messed up my sleep. One. Big. Vicious. Circle. While i am proud that i kept my streak, i was definitely white knuckling it, and that is neither healthy nor sustainable. Also, i need to get those other areas of my daily life back on track.
Time for a reset.

Readjustments and priorities:
  1. Walks~ 1 mile in the morning and 1 mile in the evening, sometimes inside while watching a virtual hiking video. If i do more, great. If i miss some days, okay.
  2. Workouts~ shorter and lower intensity
  3. Food~ regular meals at regular times; focus on protein
  4. Water~ just more
  5. Evening Self-Care Routine~ limit tv to 1 hour, journal, read, stretch, silent meditation
I leave for my vacation to Ireland in 44 days, so i made a six week plan. When i get back on the 1st of October summer should finally be over, even here!:unicorn:
    • SUNDAY ~ Rest Day
      • Early Morning Routine:
        • Hug
        • Gratitude
        • Meditation
        • Walk: possibly longer morning walks around the reservoir, which is 3 miles
        • Fighting Cancer: 1min weighted squat hold punches
    • MONDAY - FRIDAY
    • SATURDAY
      • Early Morning Routine:
        • Hug
        • Gratitude
        • Meditation
        • Walk: possibly longer morning walks around the reservoir, which is 3 miles

Congratulations to your family on the newest member. <3

Your plan looks really good. I'm glad you were able to realize that there was an issue, pinpoint specific points, and came up with a game plan. I have found that so hard. I think that is definitely something you should be proud of. Wishing you the best of luck with it and much support. I think you've got it though. You're a tough tigress!
