Very productive day at work. I got to start handing off the work that was making me hate my job to somebody better suited for it. (Trust me, this guy is way better at last minute adaptations to plan changes than I am.) I do feel quite a bit guilty about it, but I know that ultimately, it is for the best.

Alright, time to get some more fluids and then to bed.

Still a bit tired from yesterday. Saw that there was going to be a Katana program:cutter: and I was so excited that I was able to motivate myself into my workout with a Katana workout.

Overall, today was okay. I'm renewing the good fight to get my married name in use in the system at work. (Been too busy and too down in the dumps to try to fix it). Also today, too many meetings = not enough productivity, but there is always tomorrow.

On another note, I finished reading Generation Warriors on Monday, so I started Dune yesterday. I am really excited to embark on this journey, especially given how hard I have fought to remain spoiler free. I'm probably going to finish listening to Persepolis Rising this weekend, if not tomorrow at work.

@MadamMeow Me too!! :cutter: What I am giving up has truly been a negative influence and both my team lead and my supervisor were very understanding as they have been observing the change in my behavior (because despite my best efforts, I can't help but wear my heart on my sleeve). It was reinforced again on Wednesday during my performance review that I need to be more vocal when I am struggling like that because my mood affects my whole team. Which I don't think I realized until then.

Quick Warmup
Elbow Plank Max: 2m15s - stuck it out to the shakes set in
:v: Step Up 14 (30s lunge step-ups)
:v: Punches & Squats 14 (80 squats)
:v: Endurance 11 (3m30s high knees)
40 min Just Dance
Some stretching

I'm planning on doing one of my HIIT programs tomorrow. We'll see how the impulses think about that tomorrow, but badges. I want the badges and that is how they are earned.

Getting ready for the long weekend. Got lots of productive cleaning/tidying plans. If I get even half of them done, I'll be happy. Also, finished Persepolis Rising today, so I started listening to the novella Auberon (only ~2.5h long, so I'm already halfway through) before I get into Tiamat's Wrath. The Expanse series is very good, I highly recommend reading/listening to them.

Light cleaning & lots of kitchen prep and cooking.

Power HIIT 14 lvl 3 at 5lbs - skipped day 13, I'll circle back to it tomorrow.
:v: CoS 21 (160 calf raises) ==maintenance mode== all while holding the 5lb weights

I had a fairly productive day. But I was feeling lower energy this evening. And that's alright. I still showed up and did something. :yas:

I have no good reason for why I skipped day 13 of Power HIIT. I suspect that I am just in my head about the squats. Which is silly, but I am fairly confident that is what is holding me back. :corner:It's silly because I know that I can do them and that they won't hurt my knee (see the challenges that I have been doing). But that worry is there every time. My knee hasn't truly bothered me in quite some time, just some twinges here and there. I haven't taped it in months. So yeah, I'm going for it tomorrow. :tude:

Quick Warmup

:v: Step Up 15 (4x16 lunge step-ups)
:v: Punches & Squats 15 (3x60 punches) all in one go
60 Days of HIIT 13 lvl 3 - Why are butt kicks tough? I mean, I could get through the first 15s of them, but when they come around for the second 15s, they are hard.
:v: CoS 22 (2x1m10s calf raise holds) ==maintenance mode==
Power HIIT 13 lvl 3 - 10 lb weight - knee twinged once on set 3/s twists, but that was it!! :hehehe:
End Game

I've listening to the Assassin's Creed Symphonic Adventure the past couple times that I've done my elbow planking and today I just kept on going with it throughout my workout. It has been fairly enjoyable!

Alright, I've just got to cook some more for dinner and I'm going to enjoy my evening on my quest to beat Assassin's Creed Valhalla. :muahaha: And finish putting feet on a chainmail dragon.

Quick Warmup
40 min Just Dance - Yup, I forgot to do my challenges first
60 Days of HIIT 14 lvl 3 - used 5lbs weights only on the first set. It was just too much. But then my arms felt really light for the other four sets.
Iron Bar - sequence two is uncomfortable. My arms don't feel right and I am certain that I can't sit at the right angle because of the tummy. I'm so tired of the tummy. So I did the best I could.

Not a bad day. It was relatively quite morning after the cat insisted that I was late for work and woke me up at 5:30. I had a really good session of DND. Only my brother and I were available, but our DM ran the session anyways. It was really nice to have a peaceful session. I really appreciate all the hard work and dedication that she puts into the sessions.

@Maegaranthelas Thank you!!! They are the first big project that I made when I was just beginning chainmail and I still make a good number of them every year. I'm actually working on a new batch for my Etsy store now, since most of the ones that I had posted have sold out.

:v: CoS 23 (170 calf raises) ==maintenance mode== This is all I've got for today, these cramps are really putting a damper in everything. Thankfully, heating pads are a thing and help.
Glutes, Quads, Hamstrings, & Calves - Added while I brushed my teeth

I was doing alright until the afternoon when the cramps set in. It was a calm, peaceful holiday day. I started the new Paper Mario because my friends are all playing it. It's been pretty fun and I'm already on Chapter 2.

Tomorrow will be another day, but I will also have field work for the next three days. So, we'll see how I feel as far as how much workout I get. I will definitely get plenty of steps.

Well, today:
* Had bad headache in the morning from staying up too late and skipped rapier practice as a result, but I still managed to go to the meeting afterwards.
* Finished the LEGO build that kept me up too late, though I did have to go request 2 replacement pieces. (If anyone is wondering, the new Notre-Dame de Paris set is amazing!!!)
* Did workout as casual training around playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which I am getting close to finishing.
* Oh, and my knees are tired. But it's okay. They don't hurt, just are a little sore.

Owww. My knee felt fine this morning, up until about lunch time. Unfortunately, I did not have the foresight to tape it and I didn't have any with me. More ice and elevation tonight. Upside, I finished this bout of field work so I'll finally get a little rest. And I will be buying new boots. My feet only feel like this after my shoes have died. Lol, now that I think about it, I probably need new shoes too.

But it was a good day overall, despite multiple unexpected difficulties, and everything got done in the end. I might come back round with a Meditation edit later.

Meditation - 10m - Meditation Mountain - Meditation for Stress Relief ~ 10 Minutes to Reduce Anxiety

Low energy day again today. I'll be alright, I've just got to get a little more rest under my belt. The heat was definitely taking it out on me in conjunction with all the activity. Next week, I'll start walking some more (set a timer and everything) because this is not good. Yes, I can get all the steps, but I have slacked off on conditioning myself to the heat and to the fast paced walking that is required. As for this weekend, it's going to be a bit hit and miss. I'll do what I can, since I'll be at my mother's house tomorrow (maybe steal some pool time??) and home late on Saturday, after DnD.

Oh my goodness, I am so very much excited to do Ronin's Blade. I haven't really wanted to do other programs since I read that it was coming (not really the best thing, because I should finish what I started, but also I had field days and a couple of sick days...), but I am excited. I immediately did the first workout as soon as I saw it.

Now, I need to work on keeping up my outside time during the weekends. I think I am finally having a summer where I am well-adjusted to the heat. I just have to be cognizant of my water intake and I think I will continue to be fine.

Well, uh, yeah. I have no good excuses for today other than I fell down the grand rabbit hole of the new Destiny 2 expansion. Upside, I'll not be sore for field work tomorrow. I'm going to work on getting back into my more normal schedule at least for the next two days.

:x: Healthy foods - I was doing good until I got in the chips in the party

Daily Walk 28 - Peloton (Jon) - 20m Camp Walk - Okay, had no idea what camp was and so, that was a very interesting walk. I then followed by Googling what camp is.
Played a few innings of slip-n-slide kickball - Not much sliding for me. I fell on my bum and I never made it past first. Still had a good time and the kids were having plenty of fun.

Edit: Meditation - Peloton (Ross) - 10m Sleep Meditation

I had intentions to do at least my program, but we got home late and by the time we did, I was still wet and my feet felt still felt caked in dirt. I will do it tomorrow before we go visit some cooler weather.

Daily Walk 29 - See step count. Yeah. We walked 9.39 miles today, to include a really cool ship museum and a 53m walk back from the place we ended up at for lunch.

Highlights - Escape Room with our favorite company today. We thought we would be by ourselves on this Time Train themed one, but ended up playing with a mom and her sons. We had a good time and finished with just over 2m to spare. Also, had :rstar: linguini with clam sauce :rstar: for lunch. :twirl:

Bonus, figured out why my heel has been hurting is related to not operating my foot correctly. At some point, I started getting lazy and not fully engaging the ankle movement.

Daily Walk 30 :completed: - Not as much walking today, but there was some sand walking. Also, he was really hurting, so we took it a little slower today. Played mini golf and did an Escape Room with another company today all by ourselves, with 17 min to spare!!! This one had a lot of Indiana Jones vibes and it was super cool to find out that we can do it on our own.

Ronin's Blade 7 - Join the Underdogs

Got home today. Had to call someone over to take a look at the AC unit because it was making some weird noises. Turns out, it was fine. I'll do more tomorrow, my tummy is feeling a bit unsettled today. I'll also get caught up on logs tomorrow.

:v: Healthy foods - weird day, only two meals, though I did have a small fruit snack at the four hour mark after meal 1. Meal 2 was three hours after that so I guess it was at least spaced mostly right. Did eat a little too much of meal 2.

Peloton (Rebecca) - 5m Dance Cardio Warm Up
Peloton (Camila) - 10m Dance Cardio
Peloton (Kendall) - 15m Classic Rock Shadowboxing
Ronin's Blade 8
:v: CoS 30 (2x1m30s holds) ==maintenance mode==
Post-Run Stretching - I did everything at 30s per side or overall
Ronin's Blade 9 + EC - Peloton (Anna) - 20m Peace Meditation
Edit: + 40 rotations per foot

Well, I felt like doing some experimenting today. I actually really enjoyed it all. But boy are my calves feeling all of it. I'm probably going to do it more often, along with some more Just Dance. Just gotta find a balance, though I suspect the impulses will probably dictate my whims.

Still really loving the Ronin's Blade program. Though, today was the slowest butt kicks ever because my legs were already tired.

It's been a boring day of training. But hey, I got all the rest of my stuff done today too and I even got my walk in early in the morning. Unfortunately, it was already hot and very humid out there. And I need to start bringing a separate shirt to work for these walks. And that's it for me for today. (Well, maybe a meditation if I need some help sleeping.)

Meditation - ??

It's been a weird day. Had a meeting in the office that almost made me late for the window measure guy coming to my house. He showed up at the very beginning of the four hour time block. Nice, but almost inconvenient. Then I just couldn't get settled into telework mode and ended up with a bit of a headache... solved by eating some fruit. Then I am also just feeling all the emotions tonight, specifically worry about the follow up appointment that I have with my doctor on Friday. So, yet again, borrowing worry. I think what I am most worried about is that we won't find the answers to my continued weight gain.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better focused day and I'll have less time to worry. For now, some meditation and settling in with Dune Messiah.

Migraine Day - But I refused to let it win today. :onfire:

At work: Peloton [Sleep Program] (Ross) - 5m Intro to Sleep Meditation (because I found a program and there was an intro)
At work: Peloton (Anna) - 5m Calming Meditation (seemed to help a little)
At work: Sore Feet

Peloton (Kendall) - 5m Boxing Warmup
Peloton [Shadowboxing Program] (Rad) - 20m Boxing Basics: Combinations (Cool, but since we're learning the basics, it felt slow. However, learning point, I haven't been putting in enough speed/effort when unguided. I am realizing that I've been slacking.)
Ronin's Blade 12 - Fought the Shadows
Peloton [Sleep Program] (Aditi) - 5m Sleep Meditation (More like a basics class) (also, had to make up for starting this yesterday and not doing the meditation yesterday)
Peloton [Sleep Program] (Ross) - 5m Savasana Meditation (Had a hard time settling)
Peloton (Aditi) - 10m Sleep Meditation

So, yeah. It was a day. I had a migraine all day and I even went to work because I just couldn't convince myself to take the sick day. I guess I was just being stubborn. Despite all the lights and noises (because Wednesday is vacuum day and they decided to install the security/emergency flood lights in my room today), I managed to actually be productive. This evening, it is lessened in intensity and I decided that since today was a day of not letting the migraine win, I would not just cancel my workout plans out of hand. So, I decided I would start with the warmup. I survived, so I just went with it.

Found a Shadowboxing program and I feel like I am making connections. My Taekwondo training is not at all fresh in my mind anymore, but this really helped me to reconnect some of the dots. Also, rotations while punching. I've been lazy about it and I like that this is forcing me to retrain myself correctly. I think that I'll try out a Darebee punching workout here this weekend and see if I can apply what I've been learning (bouncing, keeping at it steadily, increasing speed when the combo is feeling right).

Overall, I am really enjoying experimenting. It has been like a breath of fresh air and I am reinvigorated. Current Darebee plan - Focus on Ronin. I am in serious love with this program. The drills feel good and the days are so different that it keeps it fresh and interesting. After Ronin, return to 60 Days of HIIT. I am declaring Combat HIIT as reset, so when I go back to it, I will start from Day 1. Considering resetting Power HIIT as well. Also, start bringing Zen back in so that I can finish it. With all this experimenting with meditation, I am really starting to feel comfortable with the process. I did see some guided walking meditations, so I might try one of those out next week.
