Power HIIT 8 lvl 3 8lbs I almost gave up on the 8lbs after set 3, but M cheered me on and told me that I could do it and I made it the whole way through!!

Small one today. My left thigh and my butt muscles were not happy all day, so I mostly took it easy this morning. We went to the grocery store and the walking helped to loosen it all up.

:handon: Hang in there Bees and have a good one!

Hip & Glutes Stretch
Zen 10 - Meditation Mountain - Self Love Meditation ~ Build Self Worth and Self Esteem
EoD - 50 Squat hold calf raises

Already got the meal prep for lunches and prechopped the onions for the dinners this week, so I'm feeling a little ahead of the curve. I had a bad sleep night last night, so that wasn't so good, but hey I'll just get some better sleep tonight and it will all be okay.

Skipped Power HIIT today to give my glutes another day to recover before I do lunges again.

Now, what program do I want to do next month?
Well, I'm thinking Fireheart or Athena's Playbook right now. Or maybe Spartan Trials? :ragdoll:There are just so many good choices.

:handon: Hang in there Bees and have a good one!

At work: 15m walk :v: Daily Walk 1

:v: Epic Cardio 23 (5x44 high knees fast + slow)
EoD - 10 jump squats
:v: Easy Abs 1 (3x10 air bike crunches + 6 sitting twists)
Combat HIIT 1 (Practice) lvl 3 :imp::kick:
Fighter's Stretching
1m10s elbow plank hold I might have been able to hold longer if it weren't for the sweat making me slip.

Yeah, it took me a whole hour to actually pick my program. But tada!! I am so excited for this. I have been wanting to bring back combat to my repertoire. I used to love doing taekwondo and the combat workouts here at the Hive. So, I feel a lot like I am going back to my roots with this. But I can totally see where I have lost some agility and flexibility that I had. I am looking forward to the adventure.

:jacks: Keep on kicking Bees and have a good one!

Yup, I flipped the script this evening. I have swollen ankles again, so I thought I would take it easier tonight.

I did Rest & Rec, that counts, right? :bigsmile:

Alright, off to drink more water, then go to bed.

@MadamMeow Thank you!! :flowers: They were fine until late in the evening. Then they were swollen again. I hope my body calms back down soon too.

Thursday, 4 April Wins: (173 days)
:x: Journalling
:x: Walkabout 25 (8,978/14,000)
:v: First Thing Water ==maintenance mode==
:x: Healthy foods - bbq for lunch at work, then unplanned pizza night
Insomnia Yoga
:v: Easy Abs 4 (30 air bike crunches)

I was outside all day for work and it was a nice day. However, I forgot my sunscreen and there was no where to sit for most of it, so I spent a lot of my time on my feet, trying not to get too sunburnt. But sunburnt I got. So my primary focus was to get caught up on drinking my water (successfully) and to get a cold shower and after sun lotion on as soon as possible once I got home.

:~: Healthy foods - I tried my best, but it's hard the days where we spend most of the day in the car.
:v: Epic Cardio 25 (5x44 high knees fast + slow)
:v: Easy Abs 5 (3x12 air bike crunches + 6 sitting twists)

And that's it. We woke up early, then spent a ton of time in the car to make a round trip to the next city over and then come home. Then stayed up too late because I get sucked into a game and the day just got away from me. I was also highly unmotivated, which didn't really help.

Big house clean!! :twirl: Yay, my bathrooms are sparkly and we have now dusted all the rooms!!
Strong Core - my side bridges are still terrible, and I couldn't quite do it with EC, but not too terrible
:v: Easy Abs 6 (40 air bike crunches)
Five Minute Plank 24 (4m elbow plank) 2m15s
Two Minute Plank - I almost had EC. I had a rough transition from side plank to full plank. Oh well, the effort was there.

Intention for tomorrow - get a more active workout in. But I am not unhappy with how today worked out. I am glad for the core work, I have been so much better since I started investing more time into it.

Good night Bees! :night:

Sunday, 7 April Wins: (176 days)
:x: Journalling
:x: Walkabout 25 (4,616/14,000)
:v: First Thing Water ==maintenance mode==
:v: Healthy foods
EoD - 30s Elbow Plank
Power HIIT 10 lvl 1 - 5lbs - those lateral raises grew increasingly more uncomfortable and I was glad I tried to hold the 8lbs in it before I committed to the first set.
:x: Five Minute Plank 24 (4m elbow plank) 2m45s
60 Days of HIIT 1 (Cardio) lvl 3
:v: Easy Abs 7 (3x12 air bike crunches + 6 sitting twists)
40 calf raises
Some stretches

Okay, so I'm going to mix it up. I really like combat, but my motivation to do 15 sets (because I am totally aiming for level 3 every time) every other day is not so awesome. So, my plan is 3x per week (T,H,Sa), I hit up the Combat HIIT. The other four days I go for 60 Days of HIIT and hopefully Power HIIT or another dumbell workout. Another thing that was bothering me about just doing Combat HIIT was backsliding on my progress with weights. Hopefully, me balancing it out like this makes my ADHD happy and I can do all the things. Also, doing combat on T/Th is in sync with when I used to have evening practices for Taekwondo so I'm hoping to tap back into that rhythm, since it used to be established. Maybe that's silly and I know it isn't how programs are meant to be done, but I'm going to give it a try.

Monday, 8 April Wins: (177 days)
:v: Journalling
:x: Walkabout 25 (8,239/14,000)
:v: Daily Walk 4 - 15+ minutes, but not in one go (pacing while making many phone calls outside and while being on hold)
:v: First Thing Water ==maintenance mode==
:x: Healthy foods - the intent was there, but I had a snack and dinner was unbalanced and a little too much.
:x: Five Minute Plank 24 (4m elbow plank) 3m
Quick Warmup
60 Days of HIIT 2 (Lowerbody) lvl 3
:v: Epic Cardio 26 (5x28 climbers slow)
Power HIIT 11 lvl 3
:v: Easy Abs 8 (40 air bike crunches)
:v: CoS 1 (60 calf raises) ==maintenance mode==

It was not an easy day today. There were many frustrations today, to include yet another battle with my pharmacy over my ADHD meds, which they won this time because they were out of stock. But I'm working on a work around and in the meantime, I'll just have to be mindful of my actions. Then I had a headache when I got home.

But I have turned it around. :bigyes:

I stitched some before and after dinner. Then I did my workout and 10 minutes of writing. And I am feeling exhausted, but much more centered now. I should have done Zen, but I didn't even think about it until now.

Tomorrow will be another day and another chance to keep fighting the good fight.

@MadamMeow Me too! Honestly, I think it is just going to be a rough work week. But I'll keep on trying to find some positives to balance out the negatives! :tude:

@Chimchar33 Thanks for stopping in and for the encouragement! You've got this as well, so keep up the good work!! :nod:

Tuesday, 9 April Wins: (178 days)

:x: Walkabout 25 (10,130/14,000)
:v: Daily Walk 5 - my work has been too crazy for actual walks and the weather has been rising steeply so I've walked around the grocery store again. I will take a real -outside walk tomorrow for acclimatization.
:v: First Thing Water ==maintenance mode==
:x: Healthy foods - snacks are bad. Fell off the no-snack wagon. I'll be stronger tomorrow.
Lower Back with M
Quick Warmup
Combat HIIT 3 (Practice) lvl 3
:v: Epic Cardio 27 (5x48 high knees fast + slow) all in one go

:v: Easy Abs 9 (3x14 air bike crunches + 6 sitting twists) all in one go

I almost talked myself out of Combat HIIT, but then I managed to talk myself right back into it! Ha, take that! Anyway, it was another tough day and I can only hope it gets better. Also, Combat HIIT 3 wasn't as terrible as my mind had built it up to be. So that was really good. Also finished a book today, so yay, I get to start another one later.

Yay for books! What did you read? What is next?
I just finished Sassinak by Anne McCaffery & Elizabeth Moon. I'll be reading Death of Sleep by Anne McCaffrey and Jody Lynn Nye. I've read most of Anne McCaffrey's works, but this is one of the few series that I haven't read before. I've been enjoying the series so far.

@Mamatigerj Thank you!! I hadn't realized that I was at half a year!! :love:

Monday, 15 April Wins: (184 days)
:x: Journalling
:x: Walkabout 25 (11,688/14,000) - no, but I sure came close today. I will definitely get this on Thursday, if not before.
:v: First Thing Water ==maintenance mode==
:x: Healthy foods - started strong, but my day was not conductive towards eating my whole lunch at lunch, so I ended up eating my "salad" (cucumber, carrots, and bell peppers) over the course of an hour in the afternoon. And then there was waaay too much pasta at dinner, but it was so good. :tap:

At work - Daily Walk 7 - I did the outside work and all the speed walking (yup, my FitBit told me I have 40 zone minutes and they are all from speed walking today at work.)
Upside, I got it all done without slowing down my task (which was really important because I was almost in a time crunch there at the end.)
Downside, now that I have relaxed, I am really sore and tired.

Hips & Glutes Stretch - timer is still broken, but it is a very good stretch. Hopefully this helps.

Good night Bees :zzz:

At work: Glutes, Quads, Hamstrings, & Calves
At work: 15m walk - Daily Walk 8
Insomnia Yoga

Took it easy because of the hip, which is feeling better, but I need it to be good for tomorrow.

Well, it was a weird day, but in the end it resulted in a much needed conversation between my lead and I. Things won't get better immediately at work, but at least they will get better. I've just been feeling overworked and been fighting my personality traits in the pursuit of "making it work". Yeah, I like things to be orderly. Probably part of why I love math. And what I have been working on has been the complete opposite. It drives me absolutely batty and has finally gotten me to the point of snapping at people. But it will change because we are all under the strain here and he is finally admitting that this cannot continue this way.

Perhaps I will finally get some good sleep now. :zzz:

100 punches

This was an odd day. I felt great other than I had to make multiple trips to the bathroom. Figured out on Friday that it was a stomach bug. Totally kicked ass at work and got all the walking/outside parts of my job done by early afternoon, so I was able to relax and take the rest of the work day easy-ish. Then had a lovely walk around the grocery store so that I would have all the supplies I would need while M went to the next city over to help clean out his parent's garage.

Glutes, Quads, Hamstrings, & Calves

The stomach bug continued its rampage across my system. Took it really easy and pretty much chilled on the couch stitching and drinking fluids all day. I did get some laundry done, so that's a win too. Good thing I didn't go with M on his trip.

Phew. Overall - feel much better. I have progressed to just passing a lot of gas. But, I'll take it.
