Okay, I am struggling with sending my knee forward into lunge from down dog. Ugh, Aditi went too fast. Also, worked out too late again and had to stay up again. But now I know that is definitely have a "too late" time for doing all of this. I just should have done it when I got home instead of putting together my new computer chair that I didn't even use this evening.

Left knee, my "good" knee yelled at me during the bike today. I guess I have been hitting the bike pretty hard, so I can't be too surprised. I'm going to find something else to do for tomorrow's cardio, give the bike a rest for a day. Besides, I've gotta finish going through the "Bike is making noise" troubleshooting video. I know that it is the flywheel grinding, I've just got to go through the brake alignment part of the maintenance and see if I can fix it. Overall, somewhat quiet day. M is wearing a blood pressure monitor and it's actually a bit funny because it keeps throwing error codes and then he complains about it... and about the technician that didn't tell him what to do about it... "hmm, will it work if it's in this orientation" (not the sleeve, the terminal)... and so on. I'm laughing on the inside, but being supportive on the outside. Might add a restorative yoga later. Haven't decided yet.

Phew, now that was a little bit of catch up on the yoga. I'll have to catch up a little on meditation, but one of the four remaining classes for week 1 is another intro discussion, so I think it'll be alright. It was a nice quiet day, got another dragon done (did one yesterday too). Almost done with the batch for my shop. :yas:

Still felt bad this morning, so I called out. I slept in for another 3 hours and then felt a lot better, other than the still persistent headache. By mid afternoon, I was feeling so much better. The cough was gone, as was the headache, so I figured might as well do some yoga and try to complete the program before it timed out on me. Discovered my sore elbow is definitely from locking my elbow in downward facing dog and that my sore tailbone is from riding the bike. Yay, drawing connections.

Beginner Yoga Review
Okay, I really enjoyed this. I have already seen some improvement in my range of motion and in just how I feel afterwards. I will be continuing my yoga practice, but I will need to find a way to also work in some strength training into my routine. Loved all three instructors, so that was a win.

One more win today: I finished the last of my batch of dragons for my shop, so I'll be working on getting them posted this week, along with all the earrings I made like a year ago. So yay, creative projects.

Alright, looking forward to a good night sleep tonight.

The power shut off just before we got home. A microburst had come through and caused damage to a power line. So, we went out for dinner, tried to run some errands, and the power was back by the time we got home. My motivation for working out was not, not to mention that it was getting late when we got home.

The ride was hard today. Not that it was particularly difficult, but it was just a day where it felt tougher. At work, there was much standing today and a fair amount of walking, but I don't have any tracking on it. But, my foot is so very very sore and angry tonight. I didn't feel any of that pain while on the bike, which was truly a blessing, but I'm going to go seek out an ice pack here in a minute.

Phew, I feel very productive for a Sunday. However, I did spend waaaay too much time chasing down exotic quest steps in Destiny today. Yup, it was a weird one today. Did the work thing pretty efficiently this morning, so I had the afternoon to be productive at work, but it got eaten by a meeting and by doing things I had forgotten needed doing. But I did them before it was noticed they were forgotten, so yay?

M rode the bike again today!! Yay!! But he overtightened the seat adjustment lever so the seat is stuck two inches further back than I need it to be so that I can ride it. Upside, I quickly did the research to fix it and ordered replacement parts. But they are going to take two days to get here. He was very upset and this was just the straw that broke the camel's back today. He didn't have a great day at work and I know the stress has been getting to him. Also, he feels like I have been hogging the bike. But we talked and I will try a little harder to be patient. Hopefully, he will communicate with me better. Ugh, there are times when I hate working longer shifts. There is just not enough time to get things done in the evening.

Anyway, because I was waiting until he was done on the bike so that I could use it, we ended up eating dinner and I just did a modified workout really quick. I was curious about the core class. It appears less instructive thus far, and so I will have to pay attention closely to form without prompts, but it was an interesting 5m. I'll have to see how I feel about it at the end of the week. Since they are short, I am going to need to find a way to fill in more workout time. I'll sleep on it and then dig into Darebee resources tomorrow. I'm itching for some good 'ole bodyweight workouts. :)

Quick Warmup - bounces might not have been my best plan
Step Up 27 - shhh, I was testing the waters to see if I could do 30 Days of Gravity. Decided it was pushing it just based off the lunge step-ups on the first day. And I want to finish this challenge that I started. I do feel a little weird about it, since it has been so long.
Foundation Light 1 lvl 3 - This felt easy, but I am pretty sure I can do this program with upsetting my foot. I promise to behave and stop if I'm wrong.

Busy day today. I had D&D, but I played on the online hybrid session instead of making the drive. Erebus is doing great. He is so funny and playful. I am loving his spunk and attitude. My other cats, Orion and Apollo, are not amused that there is an invader in the house (they haven't met yet, but they definitely know he is there). My big mistake today was skipping lunch. My foot feels a lot better than yesterday. I think I just pushed too much this past week, and that's okay. I'll just keep an eye on it and throttle things back a little.

I've been inconsistent in my challenges and I know it. I'm going to pick them back up tomorrow (hopefully). I just got thrown off a little, but I am getting my feet back under me.

Program Review: You Can Ride :completed:
Loved this. I had already been riding a la carte for a little, so I had already been experimenting. But I did my first climb ride yesterday and first intervals and arms today. I do think that I would have liked a little heads up that 'light' weights were 1-2 lbs, because I used the 5lb on that ride because I didn't have 2lb. My arms are definitely going to be sore. I was a little apprehensive about not having the bike fixed in time, but my worries were unfounded.

Program Review: Intro to Meditation :completed:
I literally had no idea that there were so many different veins of meditation. I really enjoyed this and it made me stretch my mind muscles quite a bit. Aditi was very easy to listen to and genuine. I look forward to expanding my meditation practice as I feel that I am steadier the days that I do it.

Working from home this week to take care of Erebus, because he is finishing up a course of medicine. He is so very playful, it is refreshing. We have begun working on teaching him to play nice with humans, so that's also been fun. He moves so much that it is hard to get good photos of him.

It has been a fairly productive day. I finished a very long training that I have been working on for months, so that felt really good. Tomorrow, I'm going to the weight loss clinic that my doctor referred me to. I'm expecting a consult and probably a chat with a nutritionist, as well as skeptical looks when I tell them how much I work out. Hopefully it is helpful.

I had intentions to do a yoga flow today, but I think I am going to go for that tomorrow. Thinking about starting Peloton's Beginner Strength for kicks and giggles. Also, I want to find a way to work in Foundation Light. I think the best thing would be to insert it after my main ride, but I think it's going to take a little experimenting. Also, in my head a little about doing the march steps on day 3, which is kinda ridiculous because it's just stepping in place. And I know that won't hurt me.

Doctor Update:
It went really well today. Been told to start following the Mediterranean diet, so I'll have to do some research on that before we go to the store tomorrow. From what I've been understanding thus far, it doesn't look too different from what we are doing now. (Other than dinners. We've got to figure out how to work in dinners better.) We took measurements, photos, and came up with a plan. A thing that I think might get interesting is that my calorie window is much smaller than my husband's. I do think that some logging might need to happen to track that. So, that's not going to be fun. But it is for the greater good of getting healthier.

Now, I get to look forward to the podiatrist on Monday. I feel like my life is a revolving door of doctor visits lately. :tired:

:jacks: Keep on kicking Bees and have a good one!

GQHS

This day started with a screaming cat (Orion). We were able to get him into the vet mid afternoon, and as I suspected, he has a UTI. Then we had the sneezing kitten (Erebus). Since he is a foster still (We don't officially adopt him until he is fixed), we had to call the foster clinic. They didn't get back to us until mid afternoon, and want us to bring him in on Monday afternoon. So, Monday just got a little more fun, but at least they didn't sound super concerned. But we were wracked with anxiety, up until the vet told us that we are doing everything right. It was such a relief to have that validation that yes, we are handling the panleukopenia kitten correctly. That being as vigilant as we have was right and that because we were, we were able to get Orion in and seen in a very timely manner because we were paying attention to cat behavior (though a screaming cat is hard to miss). Orion was not at all pleased about going to the vet.

But since our anxiety was up to eleven, we skipped lunch. And when we went out to go grab Chipolte, he accidentally drove to the grocery store on autopilot mode. So, we got that bit of productivity out of the way, but I felt like a zombie going through the store. Didn't really work out, but I did do GQHS, so at least I did something. Got sucked into a garden simulator game for the evening, which was utterly relaxing.

The only thing is that I also feel bad for missing my nephews' birthday party. But they live in a completely different city from me and it was at the same time as the only vet appointment that I could get. Also, they have an unvaccinated cat and despite all our precautions, I can't 100% guarantee that I wouldn't carry the panleuk with me and I didn't want that possibility to even exist.

Tomorrow will be another day, and I will make it a good one.
