Thursday, 8 May Wins: 199 days
Steps: 3,529/6,480
Work walk: No, not today. Should have, but I just wasn't up to it today.
Main workout:
Standing Desk
Wall Push-ups 22

In the rotation:
Wall Push-ups | Momentum | Express Tone | Unbound r2 | Hard Reset Cardio

I am glad the work week is over. I slept so terribly last night and my tummy was a little upset. Turns out that Chick Fil A gluten free buns have quinoa, so that probably has something to do with it. I've got to be more careful.

:sendinglove: Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!

Friday, 9 May Wins: 200 days
Steps: 7,890/6,190
Main workout:
43:26 evening walk with M

Quiet day around the house cleaning. I got all the important chores done and I convinced M to go on a walk with me. Now, I just need to convince him that he needs new shoes. On this day, I stopped taking the Zyrtec, since I was out and I needed to stop on Monday in time for the testing.

Saturday, 10 May Wins: 201 days
Steps: 3,722/6,360
Main workout:
P (Christine) - 5m Warm Up Ride
P (Camila) - 20m Low Impact Ride
P (Bradley) - 5m Cool Down Ride
P (Christine) - 5m Post-Ride Stretch

Morning workout followed by lots of car time and D&D. We had a decent session today, despite one individual's sour mood trying to derail the party. Yeah, I'll admit that my sis and I kinda steamrolled her a little. But, sorry, we are a party of heroes and there was no way that we were leaving people enslaved. So there. :tude:

Sunday, 11 May Wins: 202 days
Steps: 6,116/6,100
Main workout:
Glutes, Quads, Hamstrings, & Calves

On this day, I was itchy. Now, my doc told me that coming off of Zyrtec, that this itchiness would happen. Well, I did research. I'm itchy because this medicine has a discontinuation side effect (which I am reading as withdrawl symptom?) of being itchy. Also, long term use of this medicine can contribute to increased appetite, weight gain, and difficulty achieving weight loss goals. So, I might have found another reason that I am having a hard time losing weight. I guess I'll see over the next 2 weeks ish.

Monday, 12 May Wins: 203 days
Steps: 3,752/6,100
Earlier in the day: Wall Push-ups 23
Main workout:
Quick Warmup
Hard Reset Cardio 3
Wall Push-ups 24

In the rotation:
Wall Push-ups | Momentum | Express Tone | Unbound r2 | Hard Reset Cardio

I ended up having to take the day off today because I had a hard time going to sleep because of the itching and I kept waking up. I got 2 hours of actual sleep by the time my alarm went off. Got some extra sleep and I was mostly okay today. Still itchy. Really itchy. Results of research into how long I am going to be itchy seem to vary, so I am not sure when this is going to stop. Hopefully the workout will help me be a little more tired tonight. Well, I'm off to go try to wind down for the evening.

:sendinglove: Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!

Just doing some thinking out loud.

Alright, I want to try something new with some goals for the remainder of the month. Finish Express Tone & Wall Pushups. When gaming, take better breaks that involve (a) drinking water (b) 1 set of random workouts (like level 1 or 2 cardio or make more milestone things like I did with Frontiers of Pandora or even 500 steps around my house) (c) a break every 20-30 minutes. I need to get back to main workout completed before gaming, unless planning on taking a long evening walk with M. Because I need to continue encouraging him to work out and the long evening walks really take it out on us right now with the heat. On weekends, I need to work on getting my steps up. So, let's aim for minimum 5k steps every day for the rest of the month.

⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

Boxes for checking in my log:
⏹️ WP or ET (No extra points for more than one day completed in a day or doing both. i.e., I would have gotten one check mark for yesterday even though I did 2 days of WP.)
⏹️ 5k steps (Really, I want more like 7k, but let's be reasonable to start)
⏹️ Iterated gaming (will also list what I did) *Note, compatible with completion of challenges
⏹️ Encourage M to workout (might be easier now that I've logged him into Netflix on the Peloton) I don't have to be successful to get a point.

If mutli logging, I can chain boxes:
☑️ ❎ WP or ET

Okay, and what do I get for checking these boxes?? Haven't decided yet. I'll need to figure that out. Including today (because today counts), I have 19 days. I am probably not gaming every day, but I'll assume that I am for the purpose of setting a threshold. Let's aim for 60 checkmarks as a successful threshold. Maybe a bonus prize if I reach 68? That's 80% and 90% of total possible checkmarks.

Tuesday, 13 May Wins: 204 days
Steps: 5,518/5,880
Work walk:
No, these are on hold (other than field work) until after the allergist. I don't need to be out there, causing allergy symptoms. I do need to do some stuff at my desk, like Standing Desk.
Main workout:
Fundamentals lvl 3 w/ EC
Wall Push-ups 25

In the rotation:
Wall Push-ups | Momentum | Express Tone | Unbound r2 | Hard Reset Cardio

Boxes:
☑️WP or ET
☑️5k steps
☑️Iterated gaming - Did play games, but was only in for about 30 minutes. Did game before workout, but because I had just eaten dinner. Spent dinner prep time writing.
☑️ Encourage M to workout

Whoop, more doctor fun today. Gastro doc went surprisingly well. And since my allergist already ordered celiac testing, he's just having me do a breath test and keeping a food/symptom journal until I check in next.

Itching has not entirely subsided, but it hasn't been as bad today as I expected it to be.

:sendinglove: Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!

Wednesday, 14 May Wins: 205 days
Steps: 7,356/5,810
Work moves:
Daily Legs lvl 5

Boxes:
☑️x2 WP or ET
☑️ 5k steps
☑️ Iterated gaming
☑️ Encourage M to workout
Total: 9

Fairly productive day. I was on the ball and getting things done. Itching has reduced, though I do have some sore spots from itching. I have also had a hard time finishing my lunch the last three days and dinner last night. No problems with tonight's dinner, but tonight I got my workout in first. Also, I think that I haven't really been experiencing too many allergy symptoms since stopping the Zyrtec. Now, I am still able to take the nasal spray, so that might be helping, but I am currently not understanding why I was taking that medication all this time. I feel great, other than some minor congestion and slight irritation with my eyes.

:sendinglove: Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!

Today, I am still feeling tired and sore. Fencing took a little more out of me than I am used to. But that is okay! I just took it easy today and let my body recover. Especially since I've got field work again tomorrow.

Also, changed my mind about counting for double points on "WP or ET". There are a small number of them left, 10 as of when I started counting boxes. So, yeah, I'm getting all the points I can out of that. And adjust final targets once that row item is completed.

It wasn't originally my plan to use Katana Warmup as a workout, but I had done some of the katana drills off that card for the first three enigmas. So, I just did the rest of the ones on the card and continued on with it for the remaining enigmas.

:sendinglove: Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!

Monday, 19 May Wins: 210 days
Steps: 13,659/6,270
Work Walk/Main workout:
3.5 hours-ish of field work
Gaming gains:
I briefly played for like 20 minutes, so I didn't do anything really other than hydrate. Which is good enough.

Environmental allergy testing occurred this day. Like my husband has been saying, I aced the test. I had 60 out of 68 pricks pop positive, not counting the two controls. I actually started experiencing some lightheadedness and doc ended up giving me a zyrtec... so then I was extremely drowsy and I went to bed super early.

Tuesday, 20 May Wins: 211 days
Steps: 5,924/7,010
Work moves:
none today
Main workout:

I was quite a bit out of it today. I was barely productive, robbed of energy, and my whole body, especially my back, was sore. Then around 2, the fog lifted and I got a little more productive. I did some scroll work this evening and it was enjoyable. Came home and I managed to get through Spotlight and that was about it.

:sendinglove: Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!

Pretty good day today. I got done the things that I needed to complete and I talked out some scheduling problems in a way that resulted in positive conclusions. I am excited that all the pieces for my new desk are here, which will result in me having a sit to stand desk at home, which my legs will appreciate.

Saturday, 24 May Wins: 215 days - Vacation Day 3
Steps: 13,036/7,980
Main workout:
Walking - art walk and general wandering

We didn't know there was going to be an art walk in the town when we booked the vacation, but it definitely became the focus of the morning. We came home with a few prints, a copper bracelet, and a new key hanger. We also went to a bookstore and came home with some new reads to enjoy. Food was fantastic and I continued my streak of avoiding gluten successfully.

It has been an interesting day. But everything worked out okay work wise, so I am thankful for that. As far as allergy testing goes, it was interesting to see what my body is allergic to and just how many of those positives were things that I enjoy. Of all the foods that popped, only wheat is the one giving me problems.

But I am to keep a food/symptom log for both the allergist and the GI doc. Ugh, I hate doing the food tracking thing. I need to figure out how to gamify this so that I actually do it. If anyone has suggestions, I am open to them.

:sendinglove: Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!

Box math:
19 days * 4 boxes per day = 76 boxes total
76 - 7 no counts = 69 boxes total
Goal = 80% of box total = 80% of 69 = 55 boxes :star:
Super goal = 90% of box total = 90% of 69 = 62 boxes :x: (3 boxes short)

HEY, that's awesome!!! I made the goal! :boss: Still haven't decided what I get for that.
=================

I'm feeling pretty happy with today. I had actually talked myself out of Express Tone. But then I finished up with Momentum and realized that I was feeling pretty limber, so I told myself why not push a little more. I am glad I did, though I know I'll be feeling it in my legs tomorrow.

Fencing went okay. I made some rookie mistakes and my arms have weakened a little again. Lol, this no allergy med thing makes me feel much more clearheaded, but now I kinda have to relearn some tactical patience. But I had my partner loose and giggling along with me, so I think in the long run, it was all okay.

I'm going to think on what I want for June focuses for the boxes. I like the boxes.

:sendinglove: Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!

I'm leaving June 1 as no counts so that I don't mess up the math at the end of the month.
I also thought about mixing up the goals, but honestly, these are the ones working for me right now.

I've been doing a lot of thinking. I don't know exactly when "I can't do this yet" turned in to "I can't do this", but I am making it my mission to prove to myself that yes, yes I can. Just because its hard and I don't want to do it because its uncomfortable is not a good reason to not do things. Things that I can do, if I would just let myself do it. I have been living in the world of level 1 and 2 cards for too long. I am going to do better and push myself more (within reason) because I can do these things, like jumping jacks and push ups. Sure, I can't currently do a sit-up unassisted (like with my feet wedged under something or on one of those benches at the gym that are bent for your legs to fit in) and I don't really have a great means to do them assisted at home, but it doesn't mean that I won't be able to do them at all or ever.

I've got to regain my optimism. I lost it somewhere with my extra spoonfuls of energy. But I haven't been this clear minded in so long. Surely, that is a good starting point. I choose to believe it is.

I look forward to reading up on all of you here soon, it's just too late for me to start that endeavor tonight.

:sendinglove: Keep on being awesome and I'll catch you next time!

I'm a little sore today, but I figured it was better to tackle Momentum's jumping jacks today than doubling them up for tomorrow. Erebus insisted that he had to be between my feet on the planks, so it made the climber taps interesting.

Today was a decent day overall. I did have a bit of a headache all day, but it was no migraine. Just a persistent nuisance. I got everything done that I needed to do today, so in the end, it was a successful day.

Now, to see if I can get a decent night sleep.

:drink: Stay hydrated and have a wonderful day!

I can still do this, I just needed to listen today. Also, I have just gotten a new set of inserts for my shoes, so that should help alleviate the sore foot problem from the last two days.

:drink: Stay hydrated and have a wonderful day!

Well, today got derailed early on, which ended up affecting my plans. For months, we've been having issues with our garage door opener, causing us to periodically need to close it manually. Well, today was the day that it snapped. Literally. Now that its evening, we've secured the garage, but I didn't feel comfortable leaving the house to complete any of my errands today, to include starting my allergy shots. So, I thought to myself, nah, that's okay. I'll be over at the same office for my physical on Monday, I'll just pop over to the clinic afterwards. Nope. Now I've got the repair man coming, literally right after my appointment because that was the soonest that I could get someone out to look at this thing.

I don't know what frustrates me more: that we knew that this was an ongoing problem and we waited to fix it until it broke or that it completely messed with my plans. Either way, I kinda hit things a little hard workout wise. I also was so agitated, that I didn't really eat anything until dinner.

Saturday, 7 June Wins: 229 days
Steps: 5,669/7,000
Main workout:
2 min Abs 2
WoD - Step, Sway, Slay lvl 3 + EC - I did 30s rests

Today was better in comparison. Today, we got haircuts and a good majority of the grocery shopping done. Which is where the cider comes in. We found that our local grocery store now carries the canned ciders from my favorite mead place!! OMG I am so excited. They are so tasty and smooth. So, while I was good at iterated gaming during the afternoon, I slacked off in the evening. I am going to let it count, because I did continue to get up and periodically move around.

Workout wise, I needed a light day. And I feel that it worked out perfectly. I was lower energy to start with and it just helped get me moving without taxing myself.

...Which leads me to why I now have 3 new things. Beyond "keeping my body guessing". I have been neglecting ab work and I need to change that. So, 2 min Abs is a delightful add-on and Hollow Hold to help build towards sit ups. As for my old friend, Calves of Steel is making a comeback to help support my ankle better, provide my arches with some consistent movement that has always made my feet feel good in the long run, not to mention strong calves as well.

I hyperfocused when I was working from home, so I didn't really get anything done. Wellness exam went great, just gotta go get blood work. And the GI doc wants me to try avoiding FODMAPs. Which doesn't work for my meal prep this week, so I'll get on that next week.

Finally got the post out today. So that's good. As is the fact that my garage door is no longer broken, so I'm taking that win as well. Overall, today was a rather quiet day. I did get a bit of headache earlier, but it is all cleared up now.

:drink: Stay hydrated and have a wonderful day!

Okay, I've got to do a little reconstruction for the past few days. I know I had a Wednesday post and I could had sworn I got it up, but it's gone.

Okay, not a bad day overall. I was very productive at work, I asked all the questions in the Very Important Meeting today (some of them I think my team lead didn't want me to ask), and I got a good workout in. I can't make up for the last five days, but I can (and did) make an effort to be at least 1% better today. And that's what matters.

Now, to go write down some more questions my lead probably doesn't want me to ask that I thought of while I was working out. :muahaha:

Today was okay. I got a lot of work training done today, but not the reports that I needed to write. I went to the officer's meeting, but I didn't bring my stuff to do scribal because I intended to leave early because I have a headache and then stayed an hour longer than I meant too. The wet-bulb temp crept up early today, so I didn't go for walk in the morning (which are now going to also be hot walks, just because of the time of year that it is), but at least I did do Roundabout at my desk when I was alone in my office space for a good period of time.

So, overall, I am pleasantly surprised with how today has turned out, but also annoyed at myself at the same time. :dkitty: But that's okay I think, at least I showed up and I didn't do nothing. In fact, I did more than just GQHS, so I am calling today a win.

Yeah, I did M's field work today. He has requested that I don't give him freebees when doing field work and that I be more persistent in encouraging him to work out. Cool. I can do that. I think I am going to get him to do a strength program with me. Yeah, I know, that's me starting another program, but I think I can use this to get him to do something.

And, uh, yeah, this field work and my usual field work are not the same. He has not been doing nearly as much walking as I assumed.

Anyway, he came back from the doctor with the mediterranean diet. So now, he's supposed to be doing that and I am supposed to be doing low-FODMAP... these things are not compatible. And I don't really like shellfish all that much so I am feeling a little pigeon-holed just based off the packet that he got. We are trying to decide which to do first, because we cannot be cooking multiple meals.

I'm just a little frustrated. I hope that we can figure out a path forward.

:drink: Stay hydrated and have a wonderful day!

@graoumia No kidding. That's what I am really worried about. I think we are going to do the low FODMAP first, with mediterranean influence, so that I can do the elimination and slow reintroduction stages to figure out what things are causing my bloating that I need to avoid. Then we'll transition to mediterranean fully, keeping in mind what found doesn't work with our bodies. It's going to be a long process and a lot of work, but I think it is our best course of action.

So, I started allergy shots today. Hooray, there were three of them. But first I had labs and a B12 shot. So all in all, I had 5 separate needles today and I really hate needles. I wouldn't say that I am afraid of them like I was when I was a kid (I would like to think I conquered that fear), but I really don't like them.

But, as I have learned, I am supposed to not exercise for at least two hours afterwards and because they were the first ones, it was suggested that I took it easy today. So, I just focused on challenges and I'm going to call it okay. I'm making a note, I did get anxious after the allergy shots and it was really helpful to practice mindfulness of breath, not to mention that I could then tell that I was okay and still breathing normally.

Oh, and we went to the theaters and saw Lilo and Stitch later in the afternoon. It was super cute and I loved it.

I'm hoping to sneak in a workout in the morning before I have a lot of car time again. 🤞I've already got the tabs grouped up for tomorrow, so I've just got to boot up my system and go.

Ugh, my feet hurt and I am just tired all over. It'll pass, but I pretty much took it easy today. I did however make the master chore list for next weekend, and it looks terrible. Good grief, I am going to be cleaning all weekend just to get caught up. M's promised to help, so honestly, it won't be as bad as I am envisioning. But hey, it'll mean I have a clean house and I think that's the important takeaway here.

@Syrius i think remembering that you were on intermittent fasting, with a quite extreme fast period, would you recommend that ? Did you stop, and why ? I am having one meal since 4 days, it is about 23 hours of fasting, it is quite hard, but for digestion and bloating it really helps me. But it is also frustrating, i need to get used to it i think

Sorry for your feet, i hope you will soon get better

I'm afraid you've got me mixed up with someone else. I've never done intermittent fasting. I've done just calorie counting, protein shake meal replacements with calorie counting, and a half hearted attempt at Mediterranean diet.

Wow, you do OMAD? I'm glad it's helping your bloating!

Thanks about my feet. :tuzki-love: I think it's just adjustment pains getting used to doing more high impact exercises again. And then standing in my kitchen while cooking yesterday just really bothered everything. Haha, it's been a while since I've done so many jumping jacks.

I had a pretty good day, given that I had a headache again for most of it. (Thanks hormones!) I am actually kinda proud of myself for going for the early morning walk today, even though I wasn't really feeling it. I even got my heartrate up, so it totally counts towards HRC. I was planning on doing the kicks for day 12 yesterday, but that's okay. I'll get the kicks in probably tomorrow. :)

I went to arrow making class this evening and it was really cool. I've already broken an arrow, but it had a soft spot and probably would have broken the first time I shot it. So, my arrow shafts were already at my length, so I didn't have to cut them, but they are prepped for nocks & tips and the sealant is drying. I'm very excited to do painting on them next week!!
