Thank you! It's been a long journey with a lot of ups and downs. Getting to see the stories in the RPG programs are a huge motivation for me to get fitter. Sometimes I start them before I'm ready and end up having to drop them *cough cough* Hero's Journey *cough cough*., but that just motivates me to try to get better. I hope you enjoy all that you do here!
Streak Day 97
Exercises happened but I am pressed for time so I'll give a full report tomorrow. Debuff has seemed to fade, and so strike immunity is off. Got a few strikes today because of poor time management. Depending on how bad the insomnia is tonight, I may try to get some extra done.
Gotta run, I hope everyone has a good morning/day/evening
Streak Day 98
Managed to not get any strikes from yesterday after all. I'm liking the strike system, it's helping me stick to things because I don't want any strikes
[XP will be added up on a weekly-ish basis, since each level will be taking longer and longer now]
Streak Day 99
Extremely exhausted today from insomnia issues. Still managed a decent workout day. It was really hard, but I did it, and will continue to do it. I'm glad I kind of sort of got my diet back under control-ish. I haven't stepped on the scale yet but I think things are moving in the right direction again.
If I am where I think I am, then I should have around 30 more lbs to lose until I've lost a total of 100 lbs, which is my goal right now.
Tomorrow is big day 100, and I'm having a lot of feelings about it! I first posted on The Hive back in 2017 where I foolishly began with Hero's Journey after being extremely sedentary for... at least a few years and being at my highest ever weight. I would do 10-20 days of a challenge/program and would end up dropping them, usually because of issues related to my Monthly Debuff (shark week). This would discourage me and I wouldn't work out for a few weeks/months before trying again. In 2020 I stopped posting/working out completely. Around 2022 ish my partner and I began weight lifting 3 or 4x per week. After staying consistent with that for around a year I finally felt good enough to come back to DareBee. When I came back in 2023, I was met with a new forum, and my old logs were gone forever. I saw this as a good opportunity for a completely fresh start. I started off, again, with Hero's Journey (why do I keep trying to start with that one!). I quickly downgraded to Zero Hero, and had a pretty solid 20ish days. The dreaded debuff made me lose that streak, and I tried to pick it back up, just to lose the streak again pretty quickly. Then I stopped keeping track of the streak and eventually quit posting again. I was still weightlifting pretty regularly and would do a few one-shot workouts from here, but wasn't posting.
I would often browse the challenges/programs longingly and wished that I had done.... any of them... over my time here. Earlier this year I decided that I was going to just go for it. My progress seemed to stall at the gym and I wasn't making regular progress any more. I was kind of just 'going through the motions' with my workouts and wasn't seeing the benefits or feeling good about them anymore. So, back to DareBee I came! And now, I'm about to hit day 100, and I've completed a good handful of programs and challenges. I work out every day with my Bee besties over on the playground. I'm seeing huge progress in both my mental and physical health. And!!! The biggest win of all!!! The Monthly Debuff has not taken my streak from me! I no longer let it discourage me when I need to take a super light day and I just continue on doing what I can until I'm back to full strength. I could seriously cry thinking about how much more in control I feel now, thanks to this site.
I still have a long way to go, but wow. I still can't believe I'm going to actually seriously hit my first 100 day streak tomorrow. The second I wake up I'm going to do my Touch The Bar plan and claim that badge.
Thank you to all the Bees who have supported me along the way. Your encouragement and 'likes' mean more than I can say.

The best time to do challenges and programs was in your first few years here, the second best time to do them is now! Congratulations on getting back into the swing of things! 99 days is no joke. I don't even know you random internet person but I smiled reading this entry
Also side note, that is such cool formatting for the Quest Log.

Thank you!! I do a lot of fiddling with my log. I play a lot of RPG style games and getting a quest log/XP system going has done wonders for my motivation. I quite literally image myself 'logging in' to my 'character' to level up, quest, etc. It really helps for days where I don't want to work out at all.
Streak Day 100
I'm not done with my workouts for the day yet but I couldn't resist posting. 100 DAY BADGE CLAIMED. AHHHHH THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME TO GET HERE
full report to come later. should be a full clear day with no strikes
Streak Day 100
Still can't believe it's day 100!!! I never thought I would get here, truly. Learning to listen to and work with my body has been game changing. I do what I can, when I can, and that's that. If it's a day where all I can manage is some light yoga and meditation, then that's what I can do, and I can just hope the next day is better. If the next day is not better, well, then maybe the next day will be better. Just showing up every day, no matter what, no matter how bad the day before was, has been game changing.
Today was a hard workout day. My mantra that got me through today was, "just one more workout, and then I can stop and take strikes on the rest". When the workout was done, I would decide to try just one more. Just one more workout. And then suddenly I was through my routine and had done all I had planned for the day.
Definitely feeling satsifyingly sore from yesterday, which was probably pretty close to my limit. I'll need to proceed with care, since the challenges will only be ramping up in intensity. I'm pretty determined to get through the current set that I have going, but I won't risk injury for it.
Thank you again x1000000000 to everyone who has supported me along the way. Now, it's time to work towards the 1-year badge.

Streak Day 101
So tired today! Slow and steady was what won the race today. Before I started, I seriously considered skipping like half of the challenges.
I was planning on doing some extra but I changed my mind when I reached the end of my current plan. One of these days I'm going to start the Fighter Plan... one of these days
Thank you!! I was really restless one night and decided to sample a bunch of challenges with the intention of picking one or two to add to the routine. Unfortunately, I fell in love with them all and so I kept... all of them. I did end up dropping one so far (The Guardian), but I'm determined to complete all that I have going now. It's hard, and I regularly regret my choices, but it's fun to push myself.
I have a tendency to bite off more than I can chew, it's a problem. A problem that I never seem to learn from. As soon as my routine becomes smaller and more manageable, I start thinking, "hmm, what more can I add to this?" Luckily I enjoy the challenge and the struggle, and I won't be too heartbroken if I need to drop a few things if they become too much.
The Playground has a ton of fun stuff, you should definitely check it out. @Gurg is the ultimate game master and is always coming up with new fun ideas, so any time he makes a game I usually try to play.
Streak Day 102
Another hard workout day, but I survived! And I'm eyeing some of the more challenging programs to potentially start once I finish this current set.
Also some job things may be changing and shaking up my schedule soon. I'm really worried. My sleep is so messed up right now. Today I slept from like noon-4pm, the day before like 11am-3pm, the night before that was 9am-4pm, and the chaos like that has been the norm for... weeks. If things work out how I'm hoping, I'll be on a regular 8-5 schedule instead of my flexible schedule that I have now. If that happens... I'll definitelly be doing the challenges where you go to bed/wake up on time. Schedule wise, it's a nightmare. Financially, it's a huge improvement and the company actually has like, benefits (I COULD ACTUALLY HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE!!!!!). So like, I'm really hoping I get the position but also.... my sleep schedule is a nightmare. I'll probably try to start changing it ASAP and so that way when I (hopefully) get the position I'll have less to adjust. And maybe if I adjust my schedule for the position I can manifest my way into getting it

Hey Lizzy,
Such lovely words! Though honestly, this “Ultimate Game Master” thing sounds a bit too grand , people might start thinking I’m someone important around here.
I was just looking for a way to make workouts more fun, and somehow ended up playing with you and the Queen of France. It’s been over two months now, and it’s been both super helpful and a lot of fun.
Of course, it’s nothing official, the admins neither applauded nor booed, just quietly let us play in their sandbox, which is pretty cool.
Though honestly, I’d love if we had some badges or titles like “Sport Bees,” “Competitive Bees,” or “Warrior Bees”, that we could wear if we take part in these little games. But oh well, it’s not that important… let’s just keep going!
These are the three I'm trying to decide between right now. I'm hoping that once I finish Zero Hero I've made a decision. I think I'm leaning most towards Spartan Trials... but the combat RPG ones look so fun and I've been wanting to do them for FOREVER. Maybe I'll take a break from doing challenges and pick two... I think if I'm solely doing the programs and not doing any challenges I could maybe manage two... choices choices choices
In my attempts to fix my sleep schedule to manifest the new job I am reluctantly awake. I got up at 6am, as that's when I'd need to wake up to get there on time. I only went to bed at like.... 3am so I am so tired... going to attempt to do my workouts now so that it helps me wake up and because I'll probably be EXHAUSTED by the time regular workout time rolls around (11pm-2amish). Speaking of regular workout times... I'm going to have to figure that all out, too. Maybe I'll become a person who works out at like 5am? Last time I had an 8-5 schedule I usually worked out on lunch and in the evening but I think it'd be nice having evenings free... ahhh so many choices and so little brain function this morning.

Streak Day 104
Took me almost three hours as I had many extended breaks where I did some other work in between but I did everything for today. Oof. Feeling pretty low energy, so I wanted to get everything done before time slipped away like it did yesterday.
Todays salad was an "everything but the lettuce" salad because I did not want to wash and prep the lettuce. So, it was just roma tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, red onion, garlic, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, parmesan cheese, msg. I meant to throw in a can of chickpeas and black olives but I didn't remember that part until the salad was gone.
I will not be replacing challenges/programs until I finish Zero Hero. I'm excited to get some of these finished so they can be done and I have less to do. I can't wait until next month where I totally don't learn from this and I pile on the challenges again. They're just so tempting!
It feels nice that my whole routine is done and it's only 5am. Schedule shifting sure makes things interesting.
Streak Day 105
Pushups are so hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm holding myself to incredibly high standards for them. Tucked tail, nose to floor, elbows tucked, full 90 degree bend in elbows, the whole nine yards. I did four sets, one full and then 9 on knees for each set. For knee pushups, I do extremely slow declines, pause at the bottom and maintain tension, then go slowly up. After my nose hits the floor, of course. Argh. I want to be able to do a lot of pushups and I want them to be perfect. The strength envoy will accept nothing less for my quest in order to become Honored with their faction.
I'm also getting more and more excited for some of these challenges to wrap up. I seriously considered dropping some today, but I didn't because I know that most of that feeling is probably from me trying to transition into a morning workout person. So, I'm going to do my best to stick it out. Yoga Abs has become the bane of my existence. I am already feeling some great rewards from it though, so it will likely stay no matter what. Plus, I only have 10 more days. I can do anything for 10 days, right?
Phew. That's that. I may do an XP update later, but I may save that for tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, I'm seeing The Living Tombstones in Atlanta tomorrow! I have a love/hate relationship with Atlanta, but I'm excited anyway. I hate sitting in traffic but sitting in traffic with my partner will make it better since we always have so much to talk about.
Strength Faction Quest to Level Up Reputation: 5 Full Bodyweight Pushups In a Row [In Progress] - The Envoy has left me a letter in my mailbox. It's a picture of him pointing and laughing.
Thank you! Only one rep of the 10 was a full one, unfortunately. My noodle arms are doing the best they can, but unlocking that 2nd full one in a row has proven to be extremely difficult. I spam knee and wall pushups every day hoping to unlock more. I'm extremely stubborn so I will get it eventually
