HOW TO PLAY

1. We all start with two snowballs :snowball::snowball: each.

2. Tag someone using the @ and their name and throw a snowball or two at them!

3. Each snowball can be dodged by doing one jumping jack. Can't do jumping jacks? Do side jacks instead.

4. Each snowball you dodge gives you two snowballs in return.

5. You have 24 hours to dodge a snowball thrown at you.

6. The entire fight takes place on this thread.

7. Don't know who to tag? See who is online at the bottom of the forum!

8. Try to bring in as many people as you can to the snowfight.



It's ok not to respond to a tag. If you don't want to participate, just ignore the notification. Alternatively, you can go into the invisible mode - you can do it in your settings. Ready?... FIGHT! And don't forget to claim the SNOWFIGHT 2024 participation badge in your profile.

not that we need to count calories with anything (and we're pretty antithetical to that overall) but just for argument's sake a single jumping jack for the average person burns approx 0.2 calories, which means that if you do 10 that'about two calories burnt and about 20 calories if you do 100. One of those things which we can file at the back of our minds as we dodge them flying white round missiles. :LOL:

So, things are escalating. Well and good. :plot:

I dodged 61 snowballs, which, added to the 37 in my little pile, gives me 159. (By the way, I love that someone mentioned having a snowfight excel sheet. I'm making do with a notepad so far, but I respect that.)

So here goes 15 snowballs each to

Yes, I guess there is a reason it's called the snowball effect. I love that it's jumping jacks this year. I remember participating years ago when it was burpees, and while it was a lot of fun it was also a lot of, you know, burpees.

Okay, I need to state this officially or I'm not going to stick with it: I am now going to herd my kids into bed and then I'm going to come back on here and dodge whatever snowballs have accrued in the meantime. If I come back earlier than in 90 minutes, you can call me out.

Yeah, definitely! Jumping jacks certainly allow it to "snowball" out of proportion very quickly. I am personally not a great enjoyer of burpees, but I'd do them to have fun with everyone. But ya'll would have to wait until I got home for me to dodge and throw them back.
