Belated entry since I went home and went straight to bed. XD

Not a lot to say. It was a good day. A bit tired though. I didn't think I would take a nap but I ended up taking one anyways. I thought it was gonna be a harder day, but it ended up being mostly okay. The big thing is I realized my mental state is doing better. I seem to be more focused on the good than bad stuff, which is GREAT improvement.

I didn't take notes like I usually do, so I can't think of what else to add in here. XD

This morning started out kinda amusing. I decided to get up at my normal time instead of sleeping in like I often do on the first day off. Try to work on shifting my sleep schedule for family day tomorrow. I hit snooze though. A few minutes later, the mate comes into the bedroom. I tell him I was struggling to get up and he asked if breakfast would help. Had it all ready for me. <3 So I get up, start being lazy, chewing my breakfast, sipping the energy drink I got for myself instead of coffee (it's a rare treat). He's checking on me a little in case I need anything. Then he suggests if I'm that tired, maybe I should take a short nap before going.

Literally my face. He repeats it a time or two, confused by my response. It took a moment, but we got there, haha. I was originally scheduled to work tonight, but that would have been 4 shifts in one calendar week, so someone else was doing it. He forgot that, haha. But it was still super sweet of him so I wasn't upset, haha.

We watched a bit of a youtube video (specifically a section about internal motivation and external motivation, though specifically with ADHD folks), then went to Sam's club. We talked to the crew and agreed on a late afternoon meet-up at our place with the mate cooking up nuggets and fries. So nuggets and fries were needed, haha. We also stopped at their cafe for desserts and snacks for later. I was pretty happy because I found a book by an author I had previously read a book from and really enjoyed.

LOOOOOOONG nap after that. Then up and about, though mostly lazy to be honest. Got a work out in at least, including finishing off Cardio Light. Gonna switch it out for a more difficult cardio, I think. I am finding that I would much rather do a more intense workout than a longer one.

There was one point that was rough. Felt randomly anxious. The mate suggested a short mental check so I did some meditation. Then realized I was overworrying about where the anxiety was coming from, fueling the anxiety, so kinda let it be. Especially since I was pretty sure it was sugar related though that seemed weird at the time. It was indeed almost certainly that, though. (And I did eat a little something just in case.) But proud of how I managed to handle it. Though the mate had to comfort a bit after the meditation as I was a bit of a mess. ^_^;;;; But even that wasn't bad; I did better than usually, gave him a heads up, and made sure it was okay to express in the way I needed. ((For the curious, I'm not diabetic. But if I eat poorly, I sometimes get reactive hypoglycemia. As best as we can tell, since this is based more off the symptoms. My blood sugar always looks good. Side effect of the gastric bypass I had 2 decades ago.))

So, yeah. Good evening. Especially since I, indeed, did not have work today. Haha~ And happy I don't have to get up too early tomorrow.

Pretty good day for the most part. Well, other than shark week has started in full force. I can't get pregnant, please stop telling me I'm not pregnant darn body! So much of today was a bit tired and a bit funky mood due to that.

It was family day, though, so that was nice. The mate made up a big thing of nuggets, fries, and a cookie brownie as a desert. All very tasty. We hung out, watched a couple of youtube videos the mate wanted to share with us, lots of talking. Good time. :)

After that I took a nice long nap. Then VRChat day. It was a double feature movie of Hocus Pocus and Ernest Scared Stupid. Hocus Pocus was a Halloween tradition growing up, though I haven't seen it in a few years so it was really nice to watch. I haven't seen that Ernest movie, or any Ernest movie really, in forever! I only ended up staying for the first part though. Between feeling tired, a bit off, and having some serious lag issues occasionally I decided to head on out early.

Fun fact, Ernest was originally for Nashville commercials and ad campaigns. But he got popular enough as a character to end up getting to film and television. :)

I did feel better after getting a good workout in, interestingly enough. Yay for happy chemicals. While I'm not the biggest fan of working out, I do like the effects of it. ^_^

Spent the rest of the night relaxing a bit, reading and such. Started my next crochet project (barely. Apparently smaller ones are harder than the bigger ones. Should have known that from sewing but oops). Also started the Halloween event on Twisted Wonderland (my favorite phone game). They're doing a Nightmare Before Christmas themed event and I am HYPED!

Good day today. I had date night tonight. I slept in a little bit, so got there a little later than intended. But it all worked out time-wise. Unfortunately both Metamour K and GF had a meeting they were going to, so I didn't see them as long. (For Metamour K, it's just that it's always nice to see her. Neither the BF nor I mind that.) They did surprise me though! I teased them about "where's my coffee?!" when they showed up to my place yesterday with Dutch Bros coffee in hand. So they stopped by today and got me a coffee too. The two of them are the sweetest things, y'all. <3 Date night went well. We finished watching Haunted Hotel (really fun, can't wait for season 2) and I started showing him the anime Mashcle. And the ending part of my date night had the GF as well, so I got to cuddle with both which was nice. <3

Got home and chilled a bit. I ended up taking a nice long nap though. I probably could have gotten away with a shorter one, but feels like I should take advantage of nap-time while I can. I'm prepping for a long couple of work weeks starting in a few days. And maybe influenced a little by an anime I have seen where a guy was trying to go into the dungeons and his mentor insisted on naps because you have to be able to fall asleep at any time if need be. (Which was kinda given as a joke line, but later was 100% truthful.)

Anyhoo, it was a little difficult to get back into doing things after that, haha. But got a good workout in. Nearly done with Foundations and looking at what to advance to. I'm thinking Momentum. Good general program that's a 3/5 bar difficulty. And has an extra focus on abs and core, which I could probably use more of. (I'm assuming I always need more of that. And arms. Lol.) Hopefully this program isn't as difficult as Hero's Journey as I don't think I'm quite to that level yet. Maybe after another program or two.

I only did level 1 of Cardio Blast today to start with. I almost feel like, if I didn't have the debuff of shark week, I might be able to do level 2 or even 3 potentially. But since I'll be starting a more intense program soon, I don't want to overdo it by mistake. So keeping it at level 1 and may adjust after a week or so.

Also halfway tempted to switch out my yoga routine. Or maybe add a new one as an optional quest item. I like the Better Sleep one because it's relaxing for me. I have it memorized so it's almost like meditation. But it could be good and fun to try out other ones.

Decisions decisions. I'll figure it out, though. Just today I was reminding myself that I don't have to figure everything out all at once. It's okay to take it step by step and learn and adjust as I go. :)

I think I'll leave y'all on that note, my lovely Bee friends.

OH! And another note, actually. I got a picture of the lil' crochet I did. It was Fred the Dinosaur from a Woobles kit. Slowly starting up on Wee-Rex, a baby dinosaur, to go with him.

Well this morning was a little exciting! We got new futons for the downstairs. We have two of them instead of couches. We like being able to move them around and such depending on what we're doing in the living room. So while he was off getting rid of the old ones, he picked up some food from McDonald's. (One of the prizes in the Monopoly game they are doing is an exclusive Woobles kit. No luck this time though.) So we sat down and put on a YouTube video with it.

Then I got an email reminding me that I had a counseling appointment that started 5 minutes ago. EEP! Luckily she was a few minutes late too. And specializes with neuro-diverse folks so it was no problem. That was a mini rush of adrenaline though! The appointment went pretty well though.

After that, went back downstairs to finish that video. Hung out for a bit then took a short nap. Not much exciting after that. Except that we are cat sitting for my friend again. I got the morning shift since I could run over there before I head to bed. Such cuddle bugs. <3 Nice to get some kitty time.

Another cliffnotes styled day that was written up at work.
  • Woke up okay. Thought I was pretty rested, but I guess my body is a bit tired?
  • Arms got sore pretty quickly during workout. Not sure if not recovered enough or went through my warm-ups too fast or what? IDK
    • Only did level 1 of Foundations. I'll try for level 3 tomorrow. Also held off on the Punch Up! challenge to do later on at work. (I did do it, yay!)
  • Slightly irked/anxious about work. Just lots of changes and scheduling annoyances. Realized it. Did my meditation, sorta helped
  • Day nurse was super sweet! I had 5 or 6 blood draws lined up for the morning and she did them all. They were even sent off before I got there. I seriously was about to cry. Just the thing I needed, honestly.
  • Reminder to hold off on judgement about how changes and things are going. I need to give it time. There are negatives (taking time off is harder when you're full time) but there are positives too.
  • One issue at work. Caused a lot of frustration and stress on my end. I ended up calling my boss for help with it. Resolved well enough, but still felt a bit irked at the whole thing.
  • The rest of the work shift went really smoothly though. Even got a small nap in.
  • Got some leftover pumpkin cake, yum!
  • I always check the work leftovers to see if I want that instead, haha. But this time it was the same thing the mate fixed me. XD
  • Texted with the GF a little bit. That was really nice
  • I'm much faster at crocheting now. Though I tend to only do small bursts of it at a time.
  • Reading a rom-com I got from the dollar store. It's not "good" but it's a fun read so far. "Junk food" entertainment is fun once in a while.
  • Cat sitting in the morning. I don't think I can pull off doing it after work all the time, but it was super nice to get the kitty cuddles!

Off today and took it as a strong recovery day. Relaxed mostly. I went with the mate to take care of kitties and we grabbed food on the way. Afterwards jumped onto VRChat for movie night. Unfortunately, our friend had fallen asleep so they were fairly late. We did get to hang out for a bit, but before that I explored a few interesting worlds and went to a friend's party that I never get to attend. (One of the worlds was really cool! You made potions that caused different effects temporarily.)

I took a nice long nap after that. I slept HARD during it. Mostly relaxed after that. I did basically the bare minimum of a workout: warm-ups, punch-up challenge, and yoga. Honestly, considering I wanted to skip, I count that as a victory. Also took care of the kitties in the morning.

Did some talking with the mate about trying to shift my brain from "work/driving/do the things" mode to "sleep time now" mode. Most suggestions I had heard involved staying up later which doesn't work too well if I have two work nights in a row since that already cuts into my sleep a little. We came up with the idea of trying to meditate on the way home as well. Gonna give that a try tomorrow (if I remember) to see how it goes.

Work day.
  • Woke up groggy but okay. Our sound machine has a light feature you can connect to the alarm. <3
  • Arms are sure and week. ;n; But pushed through it with Foundations. Second attempt at Foundations at a higher difficulty complete!
    • I held off on Push Up! to do at work so my arms could rest a little.
  • Great work shift overall. All the clients are doing really well
  • Had lots of art and crafts time. Completed my second lil' crochet project. And did a little sketch as a surprise for the mate
  • Didn't feel up for a nap? Weird, but taking it as a sign that I was well rested
  • Talked to lead nurse about scheduling. Realized I'm doing emotionally a lot better than I was. And found out it's a bit of a mess at the moment. >_<;;;
  • Forgot to attempt the second meditation. Will have to remember next time.

Late typing this up but here are my notes.
  • Yay for new workouts! Starting Momentum and recently started Cardio Blast. Let's do this!
  • Reading through the Helck manga and getting close to the end. It's so exciting!
  • Got to work and most of the clients, the RCS, and even the day nurse were playing Mafia. Apparently it was the nurse's first time playing it. It was amusing to watch them finish up. :) (Weekends are a bit more relaxed at work.)
  • The girls ended up putting on Hamilton. Definitely not complaining
  • Really easy going shift again
  • I brought white yarn to work to try out a cat crochet pattern I found online. I had a lot of white, so figured I'd use it up and it'd look cute. Apparently the white is reallyhard to work with, I couldn't see my stitches at all! And I don't have nearly enough stitch markers to mark every stitch I make. ;n;
    • Started a penguin kit I got from the arts and craft thrift store. Different brand. Going well so far. Smaller yarn so it's gonna be cute but pretty small overall
  • Hung out on the screened in patio during my break. It's cozy! I was gonna try to take a nap there, but didn't feel up to it.
  • I let the day shift nurse today practice blood draws on me since I have REALLY good veins. Walked her through it and gave her some tips. Weird that I'm good enough at this point to do that though. She had to put up with me being a little bit of a baby with it, though, haha.

I've always wondered how nurses get to practice taking blood and injecting vaccines! I've had some really good ones and some pretty sketchy ones too - always feels like it's luck of the draw as to whether my arm is going to hurt later or not.

Some places have fake arms to practice with. Those are really helpful. And these days there are lots of good videos and other resources for tips and tricks. But there's nothing quite like trying it on a real person.

But yeah, how well they do ranges a TON! And I swear, some are just better at it than others, haha. But it's a skill so practicing and learning better techniques goes a long ways. I know I personally improved a lot just by a fellow nurse giving me a tip on how best to hold the needle when trying to draw blood.

And for a lot of places, we just give each other flu shots and stuff. :)

Cheers for rest and recovery day! I had my alarm set for my standard sleep in time. Then figured I would sleep in a little bit, maybe an hour. Nearly two hours later, I get up. Whoops~ I believe this was about how it was last time I was full shift; no naps but sleep a ton on the first day off. Though at least these days I'm trying to take naps on my days off (though not this time).

Relaxed for a little bit trying to wake up before going to take care of the kitties for the last time. Unfortunately we were later than normal and my friend had already returned home. D: Oops! Luckily it was all okay, so we went straight on to getting dinner. The mate agreed to let me get Chinese take-out! :D I ate a lot of it, but also got some to take into work tomorrow. Figured I would take leftovers and add a few things to balance out the meal. I'm definitely one happy pup!

Other than that, mostly relaxing. I've been playing a little bit more of Hatoful Boyfriend. (That end game stuff is wild I tell ya. Unexpected for what looks like a joke game.) Good workout done. Overall, good time was had. Hopefully rested up well enough for the next three work nights. :)

  • Forgot alarm, oops! Extra 10 minutes of snoozing before the mate checked on me
  • Found out my boss is quiting?! And for some reason, boss wants to talk to a few of us about PTO use (I'm hoping it's just about the days I requested off and not actually PTO use)
  • Bit anxious/emotional going into work. Meditation helped some, but also did some gratitude work and that helped.
  • Talked to day shift. Apparently rough day. Supported and reassured
  • Hocus Pocus on at work! Second time this year seeing snippets. I actually joined them for snack to watch part of it, haha.
  • A couple of incidents with a couple of clients.
  • Supporting and reassuring second coworker
  • Smooth work shift afterwards
  • Had to work through my own feels during shift
  • Started new crochet piece. Seeing if I can possibly make some Christmas gifts for my polycule
  • Napped!

  • Big groggy but good
  • Wanna binge read the rest of the Helck manga! ;n; (I think I'm at the climax of the climax)
  • Got a bit lower on gas than meant, but made it!
  • Got locked out of the computer. D: Found out the keys were sticking a little. And at the beginning of the shift too!
    • Amazing IT interaction though. Like, almost a pleasure?
  • Homemade blueberry pie at work! Yum!
  • Got called an "Emotional support human" by my coworkers after yesterday. I'm tempted to get a vest, lol
  • Small bump at work that went better than feared
  • Coworkers think really well of me. ^_^
  • Random anxiety hitting hard this morning. NOT FUN! D: Especially just before the second busy part. Got through it though.
  • Lead nurse is trying so very very hard for me to get Thanksgiving off since I couldn't get Halloween off like I was really needing. She is a gem!
    • Though that involves seeing how quickly our new part-timer/PRN gets trained up. We'll have to see.

Thank you! I'm hoping so too! Fortunately she gave a month's notice so here's hoping we can find someone in that time frame.

  • Tired~ Just one more night to go
  • Surprise breakfast: strawberry muffin waffles. The mate picked up a muffin mix at the store. ^_^
  • Traffic was a nightmare. Multiple wrecks on the way. Ended up being 10-15 minutes late and was almost worse. I hate being late
    • Luckily I gave a heads up about it to the day shift and they were cool about it
  • Good leftovers. I shall feast! Lol Included a dessert a client made for everyone called a scotcharoo
  • BRRRRR! It got cold at night all of a sudden!
  • Second wind during my break time. Skipped nap thinking I was okay. (Spoiler alert, probably shouldn't have).
  • Good shift overall though. Even finished the book I was currently reading. Turned out a bit better than I thought it would be
  • Only able to get 1 of the 3 (technically 4, but the last wouldn't be there until I left) blood draws. Day shift nurse was okay with it, because I at least attempted (they had refused) and she enjoys drawing blood anyways.
  • Caught up with the other full-time day nurse. :D
  • Oops! Realized on my way home I forgot the punch-up challenge. I'll have to catch up tomorrow.
  • Also removed "jogging in place" from my optional quests. I do cardio anyways. And it can just count as "bonus exercise" if I do do it for some reason.

I am tired. Didn't help that I woke up with a cramp in my legs. (Yeah, I'm probably more dehydrated than I realized.) But it is a good day because it is the first of 7 days in a row off.

We went out to eat to celebrate the BF's birthday that was yesterday. I'm happy I got to see folks! I was a little nervous, since that will include two folks I have ... mixed feelings about. (Basically friendship that got soured a little.) But overall, really happy about it. Good food and was great to see my people. The dinner ended up being a little bigger than I thought, though. I thought it was just the polycule who was in the area, but his family was invited to. They didn't tell me that part. But it was still a good time. :)

After that, got home and took a long nap. Then just kinda hung out. Had a second dinner and watched some shows with the mate. And kinda just relaxed. Slowly catching up on messages. (I have so many tabs up right now.) But didn't really feel up to doing much. Only did one day of the Punch Up challenge. I was gonna catch up toady, but not feeling that. Didn't even do warm-ups or yoga. I did do the daily doodle, at last. The weird thing is that I want to do the workout, even if I'm not wild about exercising. I'm just too tired to. So I guess that's a good sign.

Hoping tomorrow I'll feel more alive and can tackle more. Then the day after, a friend comes to visit. :)

Mostly successful in my plan for today. I let myself sleep in though it was a bit more than I was planning. Sad that I skipped out on going to do an errand with the mate, but I think that was the right call. I definitely feel a lot better than yesterday, though still a bit tired. And still feeling the workout burn from two days ago from those dang lunges and squats. But definitely better than I was overall. Even called my dad for a little bit to say hi and catch up some. I'm bad at reaching out to people, but I want to get better about that. Especially to my dad.

I finished Helck (so good) and now starting up on the spin-off featuring Piwi. Happy about that. Been kinda nice reading manga during the breaks between sets while exercising. Definitely makes the workout more fun. And with manga and graphic novels, it's easy (or at least easier) to drop it and then pick it back up.

Went on a small adventure. We stopped going to Burger King because they are always so slow around here. But we decided to do so knowing that'll be slow since it was close to closing. (But not, like, as they were closing.) Nice as an occasional treat.

Fortunately, since I'm a night owl, I get to go ahead and get a jump start on the haunted hive event. 😈 Which is great because we have a friend staying over here about a week coming in tomorrow evening. I'm sure they'll be okay with me doing my workouts and such, but I wanna focus on hanging out with them as much as I can. (Especially since work was a butt and I have to work a few of the days they are here. Luckily, it's at the tail end of it.)

Trying to shift my sleep schedule a little bit to be able to do some daytime stuff. So nighty night bees~

I'm always having my partner watch to make sure my form is good. This is how I found out my pushups weren't going far enough down. It's really helpful to have a set of eyes watching!

Same here, actually, haha. Though in my case, it was that my arm positioning was off. So great having partners help like that. :)

Good morning folks! Feels so weird to be up this early. And may try for earlier tomorrow.

Started the day off by doing some jumping jacks for the Haunted Hive event. I wanted to make sure I had a crack at the boss before it was defeated, haha. Though I am having flashbacks to last year's snowball event. XD Still can't do the huge numbers at one time, but I got 50 in one setting and they felt easier. I'm really happy at my progress. Though also really wanting coffee now, lol. Though at least it encouraged me to drink some water first thing. I typically do drink water first thing in the morning with my morning medicine, but may be good to do that "water first thing" challenge anyways. (Especially since there are days like today where I kinda delay taking my meds first thing.)

Today was also a hair maintenance day. Refreshed the color a little. Not as bold as usual, but I have this sorta orangey/purpley/reddish plum color to my hair. Well, not all of it. Just a patch to the front/side. Also getting it trimmed and the half-shave refreshed. It's so nice that I can do all of this from home since the mate learned how. (I have straight fine hair, so that helps a lot with that.)

I hope you've had a good week!

Thank you, I did! I was offonline pretty much entirely last week and some change. We had our VRChat movie friend over for the week. And another friend was over for one of those nights as well. We had SUCH a great time! Went to the mall, the local zoo, shopping, played some board games, sampled some drinks (including sharing the mead the mate's been making), and lots of show and movie time. Catching up on the greats of horror movies and I learned way more about Gundam than I ever thought I would, lol. I did have work the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, but wasn't the worest. That first night had some struggles, and my boss is being a bit ... let's just say, a bit of a pain and kinda glad she's choosing to leave Nov 20th, but the rest of the time was great.

Plus, Bestie S from my crew has safely returned home. I missed her so much! We got together on Sunday and also hung out a little day for my double-date night.

It's been a BUSY week, lol. I'm glad I had one day where we just chilled. Though I'm also really feeling the fact that I skipped my exercises all week, which kinda surprised me. (The mall and zoo days were heavy walking days, but that's all I did really). I wasn't expecting to ever get to a point where I'm sad by not working out.

Gonna try today to get back into it. Especially since I'm soooo close to finishing the Punch Up! Challenge. Though I'm also sitting at ... 102 notifications on here ... that I'll slowly be going through as well. Until I go through that, though, know that I'm super proud of each of y'all and I'm wishing y'all the best. I hope y'all enjoyed your Halloween if you celebrate (I still got to eat candy and dress up at work, so I was happy enough).

And I'm officially back fellow bees~

It's kinda nice to be back to ole' routine. And happy I have a few days off in a row to recover from all of last week. :) Also also happy that we defeated the Haunted Hive event! I'm glad I was able to participate some in the beginning because once our friend was over, it was completely forgotten about. ^_^;;;

I was able to complete my lil' October doodle challenge. And starting up November's. Which is interesting because a lot of the prompts are more abstract. O.O

Though working out for the first time in over a week is a bit harder than expected. I'll need to remember that hits you more than you think if you take too many days off in a row.
