"figuring it out"

If something's worth doing, it's worth doing badly

Hi all,
I wanted to share to mark the restart of my fitness journey and I hope to find some like-minded people here. I am a recovering perfectionist and overeater and I haven't properly worked out in a while. My body has some issues and my mind maybe even more. I am not good with consistency overall, but I am determined. To do it, even if it's only half a workout, or if I get frustrated because I can't perform like I used to or I don't look like I used to. I enjoy strength training and I have to keep reminding myself of that ;)

Also: enjoying a muscle ache at the moment and feeling proud! Does anyone else experience that?

Welcome!
And yeah, there's something satisfying about the soreness (not injury!) after a workout - it's a reminder that you've achieved something new!

Welcome :)

:hi:
Yes. That feeling is a bit masochistic, but if you tell yourself that you have to have muscles in order for them to ache, it's suddenly so much better!
