Spent 3.5hrs shovelling snow and finally got the driveway, garage pad, and turnaround pad cleared so Amazon can deliver some well earned Robaxin. 🤣 I've upped the cardio aspect with my new Challenges and today was not the day that I needed them. 😉 Despite mother nature's workout, I still pushed through and finished my P&Cs just before I collapsed on my bed. My pups were not happy to be ignored today, so I have some major sucking up to do tomorrow.

Still paying for all of the shovelling I did yesterday, so today I did the bare minimum level of my programs and barely made it through my challenges, but I did it.

I am friggin pooped. Furnace is acting up and won't heat the house properly, so I've been having to use the oven to heat it up until the repair guy gets here Monday morning. I've developed a dry cough out of nowhere. Not sure what that is all about. Hoping it's just because the humidity is barely at 25% in the house right now. 😬 Oh well, at least I have a house over my head. Many don't.

Wow you sound like some of my tough mountain friends. :flex:Way to persevere with the weather difficulties. Shoveling is a great workout but it's a little easier if the snow is powdery.
Thankfully, it was -20ºC so nice and cold to dry it out and make it like powder instead of wet and heavy. 😉

Another big day of completed Challenges with 4 knocked off my list. 🥰 Since I had already completed Foundation, I figured I might as well do the light version, so added that extra program to my list. I mean, why not? Tomorrow, 2 new Challenges will be added to the roster and that will be it until the next set of Challenges are finished. I might be a glutton for punishment but momma raised no fool. I know my limits. 😂

Oh, and Bender showed up today to cheer me on. 😉

Tomorrow the furnace will hopefully be fixed and we will have consistent heat in the house again. Thank gawd it is warmer than -20 right now with snow falling to warm things up even more. The oven heat is mostly being maintained at night.

Added 2 new Challenges and I'm still undecided whether to add 2 more when Punch Up and Standing Abs are complete.

Weighed myself again and have actually gained weight. Not what I was hoping for but I am patient and I'm assuming it's more muscle. 🤞😕
I eat fairly healthy; oatmeal or eggs for lunch, home cooked dinner with veggies as the largest portion, occasional biscoff cookie or two as a reward but not every day, tea (both warm and iced) as my main source of liquid. I know I need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight but what I eat daily is fairly low to begin with. I have an appt with a nurse practitioner that specialises in menopause in March, so I am hoping she will have some information that can help me with my metabolism, hot flashes, etc. Gotta love middle age. 🤪

Considering all your hard work, it could be muscle. Do your clothes fit any differently?

Not yet but then everything was oversized to begin with; I hate tight clothes. Bertha will be the real indicator of weight loss. If she goes down then the hard work is paying off. :ss:

Finished two more Challenges and instead of replacing them with more Challenges I decided to add House of the Valkyrie. I love RPGs and figured this would be a great compliment to the Zero Hero RPG program I am currently doing. My next set of Challenges that are drawing to a close might also be replaced by an RPG program. I just can't decide on which one to do. Spellbound and Labyrinth seem to be calling my name. 😆
I want to do them all!! :jacks:
Oh, and I have consistent heat in the house again. Woohoo! I'm going to sleep nice & warm tonight. :night:

Ended up adding 2 new Challenges to the mix because I am a glutton for punishment. :phew: When I finish my squat challenges I have two more lined up to replace them. Decided to focus on just two RPG programs at a time instead of adding a third to my list. That'll give me more time to decide which one I want to do next when Zero Hero is done.

I have to constantly remind myself that it’s not about perfection and right now, I have to (literally) go with the flow.:shake:

I found that if an exercise is too hard for my body, then I dummy it down so I can be successful. I figure that even small progress is better than no progress at all. Hell, you are on an adventure right now. I'm sure the exercise you are getting just being on the boat or in the water is still way more than the average person, @THew8. 😊

I can't believe I have finished 6 weeks of continuous exercise. 🤯 Arms and legs are getting stronger and I have built up more stamina on specific exercises I never thought I could do for any length of time. I really need to get some proper weights because the homemade ones I am using are no longer cutting it. They are actually too light now. 🤣

I'm thinking about getting some adjustable dumbbells/kettleballs for my birthday. That would do the trick and store easily in the small space I have available. Will have to research some more before making any decisions. Either way...

I'm just extra motivated to lose weight so my dog and I can kick some arse at the Agility Championships this summer without me sucking wind the whole time. 😉🤣

Getting 🤏 close to finishing out all of the Challenges I picked when I first came to DAREBEE. Tonight I finally made it to the end of both 1000 Squats and Daily Squats. Woohoo and thank freaking gawd! I hate squats with a passion. I'm replacing them with a punching and a glute challenge that should help round out a whole body workout between everything, and will be more fun that those bloody squats. Did I mention how much I hate squats? 😜

Spent the day judging an agility trial where I did a little over 15,000 steps. Got home to two very hyper pups and figured I wouldn't be able to get my P&Cs done. After a very late dinner and an hour play session with my BC, I sucked it up and started my routine. Sonuvabiotch, I got through them all, including the new ones I added into the mix. 💪😆 Naturally, this squat hater ended up having to do a bunch in 2 of my programs. Not having any give in my ankles makes squats a real PITA. 😣 Either way, I did it and I'm stoked! The snow that was supposed to come has not fallen yet and I have my first disc dog trial this year on Saturday to look forward to. Oh, and the furnace is still putting out heat! 😏🔥

Finished my first monthly challenge 💪😏 and am looking forward to Girl Power Week and whatever March's Challenge will be in 2 days. Donated some more money this month to DAREBEE. I can't afford much with my strict budget, but I figured even some twoonies are better than nothing towards their coffers. Hope others are doing the same to keep this wonderful resource afloat.
