@Laura Rainbow Dragon @Anek Thank you! :welcome:

More statistics. Previously I wrote 11740 words and did 720 Burpees. To my surprise those numbers went up. 15484 words this week; all in sessions that were less than 120 minutes total. Also, 870 Burpees, which chame in as a surprise since I feel like I did far much less Burpees this week than the last one.

Since I also cleared my TBR list, I only have three books in it. Two of them are already in my previous post.

I'm also noticing that writing 1500 daily can net me 126000 words in total after 12 weeks. The article that @Nevetharine posted from Writer's Digest got me thinking into how can I make something through short bursts of time. I mentioned writing is like HIIT before, so today, during a small powercut, I opened up Obsidian and added a new folder in my Microjournal vault; a folder that I'll use to write a novel through bursts of 10 minutes. The only way I could avoid that objective is if my phone says "low battery." That's it. I know I can churn a lot more words than I think, so this can be a long-term experiment, just to see where this thing leads me towards to. I won't be counting words, all I want is to write for ten minutes anywhere, whenever I get bored, or during a powercut, or if I just can't sleep and I decide to do the stupid mistake that is to look at a screen from bed, in spite of having blue-light glasses and my phone having a night mode. Obsidian's dark theme is easy in the eye though, but there have been times in which I fell asleep with phone in hand while I was reading a book. I hope this doesn't happen.

The challenge would be getting hooked though. ADHD makes me prone to that, so I'll have to fight my natural impulses of hyperfocusing.

I still can't believe that I managed to finish NaNoWriMo just 24 hours ago, right after I posted in this thread. It really doesn't feel like I just finished, and in fact, I am also doing new stuff. I wanted to write more today, but a few things took over, and by the end of the day I just didn't have any energy left in me to put attention into something.

Still, it's a win. Today I finished NaNoWriMo with 2584 words in 69 minutes during the Watch. Then I wrote 525 words in 22 minutes at the afternoon, something that allowed me to have a breath of fresh air, something new, and something that was just a piece of flash fiction that really got me excited. It could've taken less time, but I spend some time also writing down the thoughts that I had while I was writing. Not all of them; just the intrusive thoughts that really prevented me from writing. The inner critic thoughts.

Funny enough, just writing them down managed to stop them. Every sentence that my inner critic said, I wrote it down in a piece of paper, and that sentence stopped echoing in my head. It was as if I decided to leave the phone ringing and waited long enough for them to leave a message. That's it, message heard, and then I carried on. I'll keep doing this though, until I have collected enough thoughts. My goal is to discover what is it exactly that is preventing me from doing stuff, and attack it directly. In other words, I'm turning my inner critic into a Rogues Gallery, similar to what Struthless did by turning his into trading cards:

So yeah, that was today. I took a break, even though I kept writing. Then again, this writing was mostly for fun, but I put it there. I also opened up a new document in my Obsidian vault where I keep my Microjournal, as I mentioned previously. In it, I'll start writing a novel in short bursts of time; 10 minutes. Why on my phone? Because that way I can write anywhere. It's 10 minutes anyway. I'll just see where that takes me.

I did put out around 350 words on my 5-minute rant when I got angry in just five minutes. I estimate that I'll get 500 words in those 10 minutes because it'll also be in my native tongue. If I do six 10-minute sessions in a day, that can get easily towards to 3000 words. Multiply that for seven days, and you'll get 21000 words. Multiply that by 4 weeks and you'll get 84000 words. I can see how it accumulates, and I can do six 10-minute sessions in a day, except on days where I game. In powercut days, I can exploit this perfectly.

Then again, my goal is not exactly to go for that crazyness. I just want to use those 10 minutes to write whatever nonsense happens to go by my head as I explore the life of said character, because that's what I put on the rules: it'll be character driven. It's the fifth rule. The other ones, in order, are writing only through 10-minute sessions, everything on the phone, no planning, and the only excuse for not writing is low battery.

@Fremen @Nevetharine @NancyTree @Maegaranthelas Thank you! :welcome:

What the hell happened today. That's how I can sum up my day because I frankly have no idea. There's not Watch tonight, alright? That's gone. It took a hike today. I mean, during last night's Watch, right before I was about to enter the Dead Sleep, the water came. At 2 AM the water came. So I had to sleep in late. Again!

To top it all off, there was a powercut that, while I wasn't bored during it, it's still a powercut, and that's just something that I hate. Naturally, since it is a powercut! I also skipped the Burpees because Cardio & Abs carried the Burpees, so all the Basic Burpees that I've done today were for the Turkey Run, which I am not doing them as often as I should because... I don't know.

So please, tell me, how the f*ck I ended up with a total word count of 3431 words in a total of 90 minutes?! Where did I get the time and the wordcount for doing that? What the hell happened? And why did my count for Burpees is 250? Ok, honestly, I understand the Burpees, but when did I push out nearly 3.5K? And how did I manage to do that in 90 minutes?

Well, for starters, I started doing a project on my phone. It's the one I mentioned. No rules except those five. Writing straight forward, no editing, no plotting, no nothing, it's just picking up a crayon and drawing whatever on a piece of paper, like a child does. I only did 10 minutes of it today; one session at the library in the middle of the powercut, and I pushed 253 words; 25.3 words per minute. That sounds low, but then again, I'm using my phone, and I'm not dexterous with it, unless we're talking about plugging in a keyboard on it! So yeah. I also did two things during my Watch: NaNo, and the second part of something that is actually a fanfic, the work that I've done yesterday. Yes, it's the first time in my life I'm doing fanfiction, and I'm doing it because I just saw a couple of fanarts and I was like "yo... these two need a story!" so it ended up like this. This is the exercise in which I also fished for all the intrusive thoughts from my inner critic and wrote them down aside. And then I started experimenting with the writing I did for NaNo by writing it again from a different perspective. I'm adding words to it, yes, and that's the point of these last days: to add words of it, even if they'll be deleted, or are meaningless, I'm just experimenting. In fact, I came up with a brand new character, and a dynamic that can be conflictive for the plot. Two characters, indeed, and I also broadened the main character, so she is far much more than what she was.

Branching out of the Bottle Episode sure gave me some opportunities, but I'll still study if keeping the Bottle Episode is a good thing or not, and it is very likely it won't be a good thing, but hey, there's only winning and learning, and learning how to do Bottle Episodes stack up. In fact, writing the entire NaNo, the fanfic, and the project on my phone also stacks up. Everything that I do, whether it is professionally or for fun will stack up to my writing, so why should I listen to my inner critic too much?

None of today was planned. Not a single thing. I didn't plan my writing sessions, and ADHD drove me today. Somehow, I succeded.

Again, what the hell happened?!
