I had to interview someone today, so I was at work for a while. Starting to get worried about something for which we've been waiting, given we're doing a pre-release* for it this weekend. So I stress ate. Of course.

The workout:
Ten Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 5, three sets of forty Shoulder Taps and Biceps Extensions with thirty seconds rest between sets
30 Days of LIIT Day 5 at level 3

*Star Wars Unlimited's new set, Jump to Lightspeed. In case anyone cares.

And in the eleventh hour, UPS arrived with packages. Nine of them. Seven of which were the items I was stressing about yesterday*. So, the pre-release tournament is go and I can stress about who to hire. I hope everyone enjoys the new set, it has some pretty amazing new stuff in it.

The workout:
Twelve Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 6, 100 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 6 at level

*There's a Star Trek joke in there somewhere, but I can't seem to put my finger on it.

The tournament went off without a hitch and with better numbers than the one we ran in November, so good news there. I stuck around after I was off the clock to help with the last round or so, meaning I got home later than usual, which was probably not the best for me given I need to be in the store tomorrow.

The workout:
Fourteen Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 7, three sets of fifty Shoulder Taps and Biceps Extensions with thirty seconds rest between sets
30 Days of LIIT Day 7 at level 3

Good times. I had another interview today. Unfortunately, I don't think this one is a keeper when compared to the rest. I did manage to get some other work I needed to done while at the store, though.

The workout:
Sixteen Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 8, 120 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 6 at level 3. I'm very glad this didn't fall with an odd day on the challenge, given it was all the same exercises.

Busy day despite the low customer volume today, mostly because it was transfer day*, but also the owner of the company was in to collect some items we have been storing and have conversations with some of my staff and me about events and other topics.

The workout:
Eighteen Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 9, three sets of fifty Shoulder Taps and Biceps Extensions with thirty seconds rest between sets
30 Days of LIIT Day 9 at level 3

*Most of our stores are in the Twin Cities, so every other week my store gets refreshed with stock from our warehouse, also in the Cities. On the alternating weeks, our sister store in Eau Claire, WI, has their transfer.

Mid called in sick. Customer volume swamped me and kept me from getting much done. Then there was the strange direct shipment of sixty copies of a game that should have gone to the warehouse. Weird times.

The workout:
Twenty Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 10, 140 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 10 at level 3

Minimal help today and it was busy but it felt like very little was done. I don't hold it against any of my staff, it just happened in a way that I couldn't get the help I needed.

The workout:
Twenty-two Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 11, three sets of fifty Shoulder Taps and Biceps Extensions with thirty seconds rest between sets
30 Days of LIIT Day 11 at level 3

I wish I had access to the old Hive. I know I haven't been working out for even a decade yet, but I don't recall exactly when I started. In other news, I'm extremely stressed by work at the moment and losing the diet war as a result. I still haven't put together how I fixed my diet in the first place while living in San Antonio. Was it discipline? Was it the more limited pay? What worked then that either a) I'm not doing now or b) isn't working this time?

The workout:
Twenty-four Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 12, 160 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 12 at level 3

The Pokemon pre-release went well, but these kinds of days are just so draining. I really need it to be two weeks from now, on the road to CO.

The workout:
Twenty-eight Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 14, 180 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 14 at level 1. I barely had the energy to manage this much.

Day blessedly quiet, but I think I learned something about my eating habits. Time to test a hypothesis tomorrow. And probably the rest of the week.

The workout:
Thirty-four Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 17, three sets of sixty Shoulder Taps and Biceps Extensions with thirty seconds rest between sets
30 Days of LIIT Day 17 at level 3

New day, new employee, new stuff arrived by direct shipment. I didn't leave until 1730, so a bit late.*

The workout:
Thirty-Six Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 16, 220 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 16 at level 1. Between my knee, after thirty-six previous Reverse Lunges, and apparently tweaking my same side ankle somewhere along the way, I figured maybe not hurting myself unnecessarily was something resembling a good idea.

*I usually leave about 1600. It was an unusual day, to say the least.

I hope the new employee works out well.
:vibes:
for the knee and ankle.

Thank you, @Mamatigerj. I do, too. And gratitude for the healing vibes.

Day off from work. I'm starting to feel nervous about leaving the store for a week, but I also know I need the upcoming time off. I just need to make sure that the staff knows who they can contact for support if they need someone quickly while I'm away in CO. Also, it's been a day of hunger. Not even a lot of water helped. I'm really not sure what my body has been looking for, but it's apparently not anything I've eaten today.

The workout:
Thirty-eight Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 19, three sets of seventy Shoulder Taps and Biceps Extensions with thirty seconds rest between sets. Whomever named this "light" was apparently trying to be funny.
30 Days of LIIT Day 19 at level 3

Still busy, busy, and busy. There was a special event at the mall today that brought some extra traffic our way, plus a tournament, plus one of my staff had to bail early due to a debilitating headache. Well, the good news is I have tomorrow for rest since I don't have to go down to help with a store move.

The workout:
Forty-two Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 21, three sets of seventy Shoulder Taps and Biceps Extensions with thirty seconds rest between sets
30 Days of LIIT Day 21 at level 3

Day off. Can't wait to be in CO next week at this time. Not looking forward to two workouts on Thursday, however...

The workout:
Forty-four Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 22, 260 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 22 at level 2. One of my quads started feeling odd while doing the reverse lunges. Why did I choose this pairing? It's like I didn't realize there were reverse lunges in the program...

Stupid busy day today. Customers early*, direct shipment of the new Pokemon set, and transfer day. Plus I was in ridiculously early to catch up on some work. Thursday is the last day of my stand out and absolute best staff member, so that sucks. I'll be on vacation this time next week, but I wouldn't be honest if I said I'm not worried about the store while I'm gone.

The workout:
Forty-six Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 23, three sets of seventy Shoulder Taps and Biceps Extensions with thirty seconds rest between sets
30 Days of LIIT Day 23 at level 3

*Do people just not have more important things than going to the board game store at 1000 on a Monday? If not, how? The only reason I'm there at that time is it's my job.

I'm nervous about my store while I'm gone all next week. I can only hope that at least one member of my staff steps up to show they can do more than just take direction, that they can also take initiative to do the job while I'm away.

The workout:
Forty-eight Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 24, 280 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 24 at level 3

direct shipment of the new Pokemon set
I also work in a game store and we haven't had any pokemon products come in in ages... been really fun to tell that to the customers :sus:

I'll bet. It's been... shall we say "unfortunate"... to keep telling customers "No, we don't have any Prismatic Evolutions. Oh, 151? We have seen any of that since before the new year."
Half my job right now is telling people we have no Pokemon cards in stock... except for a $200 16 booster bundle...

Half my job right now is telling people we have no Pokemon cards in stock... except for a $200 16 booster bundle...
Bright side, Journey Together drops tomorrow, unless your store is also an early release store. People have been eating up Journey Together in place of Prismatic, 151, and Surging Sparks.

And now it's story time. For the longest time, we had Obsidian Flames on the shelf. About two months ago, on our second Pokemon League day, one of our League regulars* bought a pack and pulled the chase Charizard ex card. It didn't take long after that for Obsidian Flames to sell out.

*Well, now a League regular. At that time, there were two people who could be assured as regulars, one of whom is a member of the staff.

Oil change and vehicle check for the trip but otherwise a calm day. Well, so far.

Workout 1:
Fifty-two Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 26, 300 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 26 at level 1

Workout 2:
Fifty-four Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 27, three sets of eighty Shoulder Taps and Biceps Extensions with thirty seconds rest between sets
30 Days of LIIT Day 27 at level 3

Why did I wait until today to double up?

The day at work was pretty alright. I just have to trust my staff will do what's right and their best. Also, as a result of this trip, I may or may not be posting for the next week or so. I'm not a big fan of writing a lot on my phone. At worst, I'll write up a big post once I'm home.

Workout 1:
Fifty-six Reverse Lunges
Upper Body Light Challenge Day 28, 320 Raised Arm Circles in one go
30 Days of LIIT Day 28 at level 3

I was supposed to work out twice today, but see above note about how the day went at work... I'll play catch-up on Thursday, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Thank you. I live about an hour north of Denver. We visited Manitou Springs when we took the rail up to Pikes Peak years ago when when my parents came to visit. Cool place.

Not feeling great about myself. Of course, when do I ever?

The workout, part 1

Eighteen Reverse Angels
Better Legs Day 9, three sets of 30 Back Leg Raises with thirty seconds rest between sets
Beekeeper at level 1

The workout, Part 2

Twenty Reverse Angels
Better Legs Day 10, three sets of 30 Side Leg Raises with thirty seconds rest between sets

Thinking about changing up my individual workouts. Maybe switch out a few I've been doing for new stuff, maybe introduce Randomness Rules. I don't know, yet.

The workout

Twenty-four Reverse Angels
Better Legs Day 12, three sets of 32 Side Leg Raises with thirty seconds rest between sets
Standing Abs at level 1

Pretty alright day off. I know my staff finished off some lingering projects. Still wondering when the bad stuff is coming, though, because if I'm not watching for it, I'll get absolutely wrecked like I did a couple years ago. I'm sure there's a lot to unpack there, but I would never think on that.*

The workout

Twenty-six Reverse Angels
Better Legs Day 13, three sets of 34 Back Leg Raises with thirty seconds rest between sets
Ten minutes in the Pits, unarmed

*Not even once.**
**Or twice.***
***Or like ten thousand times. Not me.****
****What do you mean "I think thou doth protest too much"?

Why do so many people assume they're the most important person on the road and therefore deserve to do risky things to get home like thirty seconds faster? Two days in a row now I've nearly been in accidents because of this perceived entitlement.

The workout

Thirty-two Reverse Angels
Better Legs Day 16, three sets of 36 Side Leg Raises with thirty seconds rest between sets
Forty-five minutes steady-state cardio

I've been thinking about moving somewhere else. My problems with this start with the language barrier and end with not knowing how I make myself a useful member of any society. Don't get me wrong, I love the job I have and the company I work for, but I'm really over the politics of the country. I don't make big decisions like this recklessly: I'll consider carefully, do my due diligence, and research everything I need. It's very possible I determine this is something I cannot do, given my two problems noted above, as I have a terrible time learning languages* nor do I have any particularly useful knowledge or skills**. Or money. I don't have that either.

The workout

Thirty-eight Reverse Angels
Better Legs Day 19, three sets of 40 Back Leg Raises with thirty seconds rest between sets
Graveyard Shift at level 1

*Excepting English and math, the two I was exposed to as a child. And technical jargon from physics and chemistry, I suppose, given the degrees I hold.
**Science is not something at which I can compete in another language.
