Busy weekend traveling to and from Atlanta for The Living Tombstone show. Exercises happened but full report will have to wait until tomorrow.

Wanted to give a quick update on some proof of how well Darebee works!!

This was my first concert since restarting Darebee and my concert endurance was SO MUCH BETTER! I was able to jump around and dance for so long before getting winded. Usually, I jump for 10 seconds and I need to be carried out on a stretcher. This time, I was jumping for entire songs and danced pretty much the entire time.

I'm so excited to keep working out and going to even more concerts with all of my new endurance and energy :D

I hope everyone had a good weekend

Streak Day 110
I fell asleep before updating again last night. Trying to get used to this new schedule is... something. I am not a morning person, at all. Starting to feel some slight burnout so I'm giving myself strike immunity for the next few days until I get more settled. As long as I'm doing three or four things from my list, I'm counting that as good enough. Once I get settled into this schedule I'll turn strike immunity off.

Also, on the job front, at first I was really anxious about recieving a call back because of social anxiety, and now I'm worried they aren't going to call me at all and I'm really wishing the phone would ring! Ahhhhhhhh I really want this new position. Getting back on a 'normal people' schedule would be great for so many reasons, not to mention the pay increase and actual benefits. I'm hoping they call soon. I would be the best worker Bee they have ever seen!

Also, each day has had some Build and Conquer and Honey Deck but I didn't want to dig back through the posts to find and link the workouts so just imagine that they're there. Each day has had around 5-10 minutes of tai chi and usually one or two workouts for honey deck, of varying intensity and genre.

I still have some workouts that I'll be doing later today but I really wanted to get an update out before I fall even more behind. Those will show up in tomorrows quest log.

Finally finished Unbound!!! I'll be replacing it with a regular cooldown instead of a program. I have a list somewhere, and I'll pick from there each day depending on how I'm feeling.

Anyway, that's all for now. I wanted to quickly get this out before falling even more behind. Have a great day, Bees!

Streak Day 111
Only 30 Days of Cardio Light, Zero Hero, and Playground games today. Energy is super low. Maybe after a nap I'll tackle some of the challenges but... that's a maybe.

Speaking of 30 Days of Cardio, Light, I finished it today! I really enjoyed this program. Once some more of my programs and challenges wrap up I'm going to start the next 30 Days of Cardio. I think I may try level 2 or 3 sometimes... too. There are also a few other cardio programs that I'm eyeing and I may end up starting one of those instead. We'll see. For now, I'm happy to have one less thing on my list of things to do. Next time I'm feeling restless I'm going to just do a bunch of workouts from the workout page and not start a million challenges. It never ends well and I never seem to learn :P Previously I said I was going to limit myself to three challenges at a time and I'm going to try to stick to that once I wrap up what I'm doing now. Also removed strikes and am on strike immunity until I get down to three challenges. High standards are good but not if they're going to lead me to burn out/resentment/other things.

Anyway, that's it for now. Have a good one, Bees!

Streak Day 112

Big win today!!! I went outside and ran, by my self!!!! Did some schedule maneuvering so that I could have the car this morning. I went to a park nearby and ran for 2.59 miles! I only had a slight panic attack in the car when I got there but other than that it went really well!! There were a lot of people at the park, which helped, and they all looked friendly and non-threatening. There was only a small stretch that was secluded enough where I was convinced I was about to be murdered but that just motivated me to run faster. :P I think I'll try to go back out tomorrow. I have seriously missed running outside and I can't use the weather as an excuse anymore. I may even try to run around my neighborhood instead of the park. That might be a stretch though. But for now I'm soaking in this win. I have a really hard time doing outdoor activities by myself (have had some... bad... experiences previously while trail running) and I'm so ready to just like, get back out there! There are run clubs 6 days a week, both in the morning and evening, that are very close to me so I'll probably try to attend those on days that I'm not feeling so confident.

When I got home I did Baseline, Zero Hero, Punch Up, and 2-Minute Abs. Those will be my four from my lineup today. I may do some honey deck and build and conquest later, depending on when my turn lands. But for now, that's it! Ah I'm still so excited from running. I want to go back out there like... right now, but my legs are sooo tired.

Have a great day, Bees!! :D

Streak Day 113
My legs were so sore today from my run yesterday! It's almost like I haven't went running in... like two months. The soreness feels good though, because it means that I'm back to doing what I want to do, which is running! Running is the thing I want to do the most and I'm so glad I've gotten over some of these latest mental hurdles keeping me from doing it. I didn't go today because of how sore I am and because I know I need to ease back into it or else I'll injur myself and that won't help me with my goals :P I think I'm going to go tomorrow though. We'll see. And if the new job thing works out I'll start signing up for races again.

Speaking of the job thing, I heard from someone from HR and they said the reason I haven't heard back is because whoever is in charge of choosing who to interview is waiting until more applications come in before they start making decisions. I applied.. a while ago. I feel like that's kinda rude to the people who applied early (I applied within an hour of the job being posted...). Waiting until X number of people apply to start setting up interviews/other stuff seems weird to me. I'm not sure if that's standard but it's been soooooooooo long. The HR person said that my resume looked like it was exactly what they were looking for, so I'm still holding out hope. I just have to wait for some other person to finally give the OK for me to set up an interview. ANNOYING.

Anyway. That's all for now. I hope everyone has a good day/night!

That sounds VERY frustrating and a little odd. :/ Hopefully they're just being weird and continue the process soon.

Streak Day 114 & 115
Busy and stressful days. They ended up being active rest days.

Yoga For Runners was not quite the cooldown I thought it was going to be. It was a really hard sequence, harder than I expected. I have it in cooldowns for this log because that's when I did it, but I'll probably move it up to the Adventure Quests section. I'm going to try to do it every day to see if it does help with my running. Speaking of running I'll definitely be doing it again tomorrow. I'll have the car again so I can go to the park. There's also a career fair I'll be checking out tomorrow in the off chance that that one job I'm holding out for ends up not working out.

Anyway, that's it for me tonight! Good morning, and if I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight :D

Streak Day 116

I set a 5K PR today!!! I beat my previous record from back in 2017. I hit the 5K mark at 46:12. This is another testament to how well Darebee truly works. This is my second run back after a multi-month break and I am beating PRs. Doing the cardio programs and cardio workouts really work! And they work really well! Ah, this is extremely motivating. I am seriously so thrilled by all of this. It's making me want to keep working even harder. :D I'll be doing the Yoga for Runners workout later this evening. I'll come back and edit it in when I do.

Have a great day, Bees. Keep on buzzing. :D

I've got secondhand motivation just by reading this! Congratulations, I'm so glad all the cardio work has helped you :)

I didn't go running today but I still used the post-run stretching for my cooldown.

Finished 30 days of salads! I really enjoyed this challenge. I think I was a rabbit it my past life. I'm hopefully going to continue to eat more salads. They've been wonderful for curbing the binging urges.

Also the Yoga for Runners was still rough. Like seriously rough. 1761188247151.png This pose especially. I consider myself to be pretty flexible but I had to seriously modify this one. I had to have my knees bent AND have my arms much further forward. I'm excited to see my progress through this routine. I struggled with some of the other poses too so I will definitely notice when I start to improve.

Anway. Time for bed, see y'all tomorrow. I hope everyone had a good day!

Yeah that is insane! I have been trying to get my hamstrings flexible enough to do a pike push-up - like that but arms straight and doing push-ups. I can't imagine having elbows on the floor, let alone hands on the floor. Well done for giving it a go modified. Let me know if you see any improvements with flexibility for this pose as you continue!

Thank you everyone!!

Workouts are still going strong. Did a really big leg day today with my partner at the gym. It was amazing. I'm not going to be able to walk tomorrow. Nothing feels better than some properly worked muscles. It's sooo gratifying.

Proper updates will have to wait - been insanely busy and have had no time to get my log together. I'm on Streak Day 120 and still going strong. Should be wrapping up a handful of challenges in the next few days. I'm going to make my phone background and computer backgrounds all say NO MORE THAN 3 CHALLENGES AT ONCE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SUFFER. Will it help? Probably not. I'm sure by this time next month I'll be in the same predicament. Oh well. :D

Part of what's been keeping me so busy is that I'm trying to get back into the habit of writing. I really miss it and I can't believe how long it's been since I've written anything non-academic related. Probably 2016 or 2017. How does time move so fast??? Anyway, I'm gearing up to do NaNoWriMo, as it was formerly called, in November. I haven't really looked into the alternative sites that have popped up and don't plan to (don't need another thing I need to remember to check/update/keep up with!). I never used the old NaNo site as more than a dashboard where I can watch my numbers go up in a nice graph so I'll just be using excel to replicate that and that's that! Keeping it simple.

I keep leaning towards stories that have a lot of training/working out/physical activity... I think the RPG programs on Darebee have officially taken over my subconscious. :P

Anyway, it's almost 3am here and I should really be in bed. Have a great day/night, Bees!

Streak Day 121 has been mostly defending The Hive, haven't gotten around to most of the programs/plans/challenges/etc yet. I'm having a lot of fun, I think I've done over 1000 kicks today. I'm reminiscing on my Tae Kwon Do days :D I need to get back to that... along with everything else I need to get back to. Too many interests and not enough time!
