Exercising towards a better tomorrow!

Thanks! @CODawn
Thanks! @graoumia - I wouldn't mind so much if her care home was nearer, but it's a 3 hour round trip on a very unreliable bus service (the bus home was over 30 minutes late), just to drop off some sweets and shampoo and talk to the nurses for a few minutes. Even though I'm not going very often these days it still gets me down.

Exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
60 Seconds Arm Scissors (EotD) done,
Cortisol Down (WotD) done,
Day 4 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets),
Day 16 of 50 Squats done,
Day 26 of Unbound done,
Sore Feet done,
Hand Mobility done.

Another quiet chore day today, try and see if I can get another box of knickknacks emptied, see y'all tomorrow!

But you have a lot to do to take care of you, find a job, your time is precious and shouldn't be wasted for someone who don't realize your efforts and/or don't appreciate them. Being too nice is not always a good thing for you. but i am sure you can't do it differently, because you are too nice ....

Unfortunately that's very true. Even though it would probably be for the best, I know I won't actually give up my caring responsibilities, I would be too worried that the Housemate wasn't being looked after right (And I don't want to add to the burden of some poor, over-worked social worker).
But I am going to go back to monthly visits, and I won't change my mind because I'm feeling guilty this time!

Anyways, exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
20 Scorpion Twists (EotD) done,
Stopgap (WotD) attempted (1 set, I got noodlely arms! :ragdoll:),
Day 5 of Cardio Go! attempted (1 set. Noodle Arms 2: Electric Boogaloo!),
Day 17 of 50 Squats done,
Day 27 of Unbound done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Talk To The Hand done.

Pretty poor showing exercise-wise today. You'd think I'd be better at them by now, but getting my arms above my head is still one of the hardest things for me to do.

Not sure what I'm doing today, I might be doing some volunteering (The lady in charge wants to give the kitchen a deep clean while everyone is on holiday), but it depends on how she's feeling, so I've just got to sit and wait for the call to action.
@graoumia is right, I really do have to stop being so nice, see y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @graoumia

Between yesterday's exercises and lots of cleaning, I'm pretty sore all over, just going to do what I can exercise-wise this morning:-

Universal Warmup done,
20 Prone Reverse Fly (EotD) done,
Wasp (WotD) attempted (2 sets),
Day 6 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets),
Day 18 of 50 Squats done,
Day 28 of Unbound done,
Sore Feet done,
Keyboard Warrior done.

I spent a few hours cleaning out the volunteer kitchen yesterday, and it really needed it (Some areas hadn't been cleaned for over a year). The lady I was helping usually comes in and does it herself a few times a year, but because of health problems she can't do any of the low areas anymore, and I'm the first person to actually turn up and help her.
Felt good to be useful (Plus I got free doughnuts!).

Lots of travelling today. Going to a meeting about helping to set up and run a community cafe and popping to the hospital to drop off the Housemates hearing aids for repair, see y'all tomorrow!

I think dropping down to monthly visits sounds like a good idea. Good balance there.

Yep. Although the next visit will be whenever I have to pick up her repaired hearing aids, I'll lose the danged things if I have them sitting around the house too long!

Exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
10 Cossack Squats (EotD) done,
Bad Wolf (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 7 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets),
Day 19 of 50 Squats done,
Day 29 of Unbound done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Wrist Mobility done.

Pretty irked today, gotta waste a big chunk of the day (And bus fare) going to a job presentation thing for purely political reasons.
There's a big construction project starting up in the area, and one of its main selling points (Particularly in the current political climate) was that it would be providing jobs to local residents, so they're making a big show of having all these recruitment drives and things, and getting the jobcentres to fill them.
I pointed out that I'm very unlikely to have the skills or experience for any jobs they have on offer, and it's in the middle of nowhere so I can't get there even if I do find something, but nope, still got to go.

At least the place I'm going to is air-conditioned, it's going to be a hot day I reckon, see y'all tomorrow!

Exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
40 Archers (EotD) done,
Full Body Stretch (WotD) done,
Day 8 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets),
Day 20 of 50 Squats done,
Day 30 of Unbound done (All done again! Still no closer to touching my toes though),
Ankle Recovery done,
Wrist Pain done.

As suspected yesterday was a complete waste of time, almost nothing but construction jobs. The only thing of interest was their apprenticeship scheme, but it was only open to recent graduates or people under 20 (I'm neither). But I signed in and talked to a work coach lady who recognised me, so the Job People know I've been and I won't get in trouble.

I also watched the new Superman movie, it was good but not as good as I thought it would be, although I think the main problem was that I've been rewatching my Marvel movie collection and I think I've just had my fill of quippy superhero films for now. When I watch in again in the future, I'll probably like it a lot more.

It's the 1 month anniversary of moving into my new place today! :shine:

I'm still really grateful to finally have a place of my own, being able to hang up my dot art pictures and things (I've finally got my space shuttle pictures on the wall, I've been waiting since the 90's to do that!), I know I got very lucky not to end up in another houseshare or stuck in temporary accommodation forever.
I'm waiting on some flatpack furniture, so putting that together will be today's main job, see y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @graoumia @Fremen @JCU

Exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
40 Balance Leg Swings (EotD) done,
Today Is The Day (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 9 of Cardio Go! attempted (Just about managed 1 set, arms were not up for Step Jacks today),
Day 21 of 50 Squats done,
Day 1 of Unbound done,
Sore Feet done,
Stapler done.

Got both the little and big chest of drawers built yesterday, turns out I have too many clothes, so I need to get another one at some point.
The best purchase turned out to be the cheap kitchen bin I brought though, the lid is like a spacesuit helmet and you have to open up the "visor" to put the rubbish in, the weirdest things make me happy! :applause:

Not much to do today, just waiting for the rain to stop so I can pop out for a few minutes, see y'all tomorrow!

End of another week. I'm doing afternoon exercising, as I'm occasionally doing Sunday morning volunteering now (The curse of being a reliable person):-

Universal Warmup done,
10 Sit-Up Punches (EotD) done (I did Crunches),
Burrito Mode (WotD) done,
Day 11 of Cardio Go! attempted (2 sets, why does this program have such an obsession with Step Jacks?),
Day 23 of 50 Squats done,
Day 3 of Unbound done,
Sore Feet done,
Hand Mobility done.

Just got a few chores to do then it's hobby time and venison sausages for dinner.
See y'all tomorrow!

Completely forgot about working out yesterday, not sure why, I wasn't busy or anything!
Making sure I do them today:-

Universal Warmup done,
30 Seconds Raised Leg Hold (EotD) done,
Setting Goals (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 12 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets),
Day 24 of 50 Squats done,
Day 4 of Unbound done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Talk To The Hand done.

A bit tired and headachey this morning, gotta get back into the habit of no computers last thing at night (I'm good at putting down a book when it's time for sleep, but if I'm on the internet there's always one more thing to look at).
And speaking of getting back into habits, I haven't been doing so well with the healthy-ish eating lately either. So I'm rectifying that to by doing a bit more cooking, started yesterday with Chicken and Chorizo Paella for dinner, and I've got yummy leftovers for tonight.

See y'all tomorrow!

Early exercising this morning, I've got a long day ahead of me:-

Universal Warmup done,
30 Jumping (Step) Jacks (EotD) done,
Toughie (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 13 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets),
Day 25 of 50 Squats done,
Day 5 of Unbound done,
Sore Feet done,
Keyboard Warrior done.

I've got a telephone interview in a couple hours, then it's off to volunteering and then I have to go see the Housemate (Apparently she's getting very anxious without her hearing aid, so they want me to drop it off ASAP. Worryingly, when I asked if the other one wasn't working now, they replied "What other one?").
So, yeah, not expecting to get home until late, I'll have to pick something up for dinner instead of making Tuna Pasta.

See y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @NightWolf714 - They've already got back to me and said I was unsuccessful, but I'm not surprised. The lady phoned me up 40 minutes late, so I had my interview while walking to the bus stop in the rain!

Had a bit of a lay-in, as there's no rush to do anything today, time for exercise:-

Universal Warmup done,
5 Plank Walk-Outs (EotD) done,
Better Balance (WotD) done (My balance was surprisingly good today),
Day 14 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets),
Day 26 of Squats done,
Day 6 of Unbound done,
Happy Feet done (I found some more foot exercises to shake things up a bit),
Wrist Mobility done.

I successfully dropped off the Housemates hearing aid yesterday (The other one has indeed gone missing, but she should be okay with just one), she was very angry with the world so I didn't stay. The staff had downplayed how bad her moods have been lately, she's actually smashed the glass panes in their front door when they wouldn't let her leave (Hopefully that's something Care Homes are insured for), her mobility has massively improved lately, so she keeps trying to escape. She can get about now far better than she could when I was looking after her, which raises certain questions I, annoyingly, probably won't get the answer to.

Not much to do today, I've got some evening volunteering later on (It's the curse of being reliable again), but otherwise it's a slowly do chores and watch the rain kind of day.
See y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @Mamatigerj

Exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
20 Bridges (EotD) done,
I Aim To Misbehave (WotD) done (3 sets with Knee Push-Ups),
Day 15 of Cardio Go! attempted (2 sets, still struggling with the Step Jacks),
Day 27 of 50 Squats done,
Day 7 of Unbound done,
Footwork done,
Wrist Pain done.

Yesterday's volunteering was weird, I'm not quite sure why I was asked to help out. They had plenty of helpers there already and I was a poor fit for the role they wanted me to fill (Quiet, introverted, socially-awkward me does not make a good host), I ended up doing a bit kitchen work because they were apparently 1 person short, but there wasn't much to do as there were so many people in there.
They've asked me to come back next month, but I may make up an excuse about being busy or something.

It's going to be a coursework and hobby day today, because I've been neglecting both lately, and then it's Pork and Sweet Potato Chilli for dinner.

See y'all tomorrow!

A little late to my exercising today, I had to do one of those silly personality assessments for a job application this morning (I have no idea how they learn anything useful from those things):-

Universal Warmup done,
30 Seconds Side Elbow Plank (EotD) done,
Express Abs (WotD) done,
Day 16 of Cardio Go! attempted (1 and a half sets),
Day 28 of 50 Squats attempted (Managed 40 Squats),
Day 8 of Unbound done,
Ankle Recovery done.
Stapler done.

Not a very successful workout, my poor legs were so sore after that first round of Cardio Go.

Another quiet day of coursework and hobbies ahead, see y'all tomorrow!

End of another week:-

Universal Warmup done,
20 Heel Get-Ups (EotD) done,
TLC (WotD) done (Only 30 seconds a pose, 60 was too much especially on the first two),
Day 17 of Cardio Go! done (Managed 3 sets but had to keep switching to Half Jacks when my arms got too sore to work),
Day 29 of 50 Squats done,
Day 9 of Unbound done,
Sore Feet done,
Hand Tendons done.

I had a very lazy day yesterday, I let my daily game of Fate/Grand Order turn into quite the time sink, and just couldn't work up enough oomph to do anything else afterwards, must do better today.
I've got a couple very early mornings ahead of me, so I don't know if/when exercising will happen, but I'll try, see y'all next time!

Getting some early morning exercises done:-

Universal Warmup done,
50 Back Leg Raises (EotD) done,
Hall Of Fame (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 18 of Cardio Go! done (Almost 3 sets, I was running low on time),
Day 30 of 50 Squats done (All finished!),
Day 10 of Unbound done,
Happy Feet done,
Hand Mobility done.

I really enjoyed the Squats challenge, it added to my workout without getting silly with the reps.

The Job People have signed me up for a computer course, so that's this morning's job, getting assessed to see what level I'll do it at, and Monday Night Volunteering is back from it's break, so I've got a full day today.
See y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @NightTigress @Anek @Mamatigerj @Fremen @JCU @graoumia @NightWolf714

More early morning exercising:-

Universal Warmup done,
40 Knee-to-Elbows (EotD) done,
Atlas (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 19 of Cardio Go! done (Almost 3 sets),
Day 1 of The Miner done (With Knee Push-Ups, found:- Dirt, a skeleton !?! and a topaz),
Day 11 of Unbound done,
Footwork done,
Talk To The Hand done.

I am determined to actually get The Miner finished this time!

Got the first of this week's two interviews this morning (Suddenly I'm in demand!), then it's grocery shopping, chores and Moroccan Veg Traybake for dinner, see y'all tomorrow!

I did it! 3 early mornings in a row! :yas:
I wonder if my body would ever get used to getting up an hour earlier, or if I'd just be this tired forever...
Not something I need to find out (Yet), so on to exercising:-

Universal Warmup done,
5 (Knee) Push-Ups (EotD) done,
Shadow (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 20 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets. Step Jacks weren't so hard this time, maybe I'm getting used to them),
Day 2 of The Miner done (Found:- A ruby, an amethyst and some dirt),
Day 12 of Unbound done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Keyboard Warrior done.

It was a bit of a mixed bag yesterday. My interview went well (I know I always say that, but I do genuinely feel that I am doing well in them, it's just that other people are doing even better!), but dinner went horribly wrong, I got a small mountain of veg prepped only to realise I had no way of actually cooking it all. Luckily most of the veg can be added to other meals I have planned for the week, so I didn't have to throw much out (Still need to work out what to do with the Hallomi Cheese), having to order an emergency pizza was a big blow to my budget though, at least I've got some left to eat today.
See y'all tomorrow!

Got up a little late today, not feeling too nifty, going to try and do what I can with my exercises:-

Universal Warmup done,
40 Shoulder Taps (EotD) done,
Day 21 of Cardio Go! attempted (2 sets),
Day 3 of The Miner done (Found:- Triple Dirt),
Day 13 of Unbound done,
Sore Feet done,
Wrist Mobility done.

Did what I could, but they were making me a bit queasy.
Not much happened yesterday, after volunteering I ate the rest of my pizza and went to bed because I was so tired, and then a stomach ache kept waking me up throughout the night.
Although I must have gotten enough sleep because I don't feel tired just bleh, no more takeaway pizzas though, they're expensive and they don't seem to agree with me anymore.

Hopefully I feel a bit better before this afternoon's interview, see y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @JCU @graoumia @Mamatigerj - I felt better as the day progressed.

As I'm feeling back to normal, let's see if I can do better with my exercises:-

Universal Warmup done,
20 Reverse Lunges (EotD) done,
Overlap (WotD) done (3 sets, struggled a bit with the Side Bridges, I'm sure my arms simply aren't long enough for some exercises),
Day 22 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets),
Day 4 of The Miner done (Found:- Double dirt and a Ruby),
Day 14 of Unbound done,
Happy Feet done (It is really hard to stay on my feet during exercise 2!),
Wrist Pain done.

Yesterday's interview went well, it's just a weekend job so the interview mainly consisted of the chef making sure I absolutely knew I was only going to be working there 8 hours a week! Got to remember to ask the Head Volunteer Lady if she minds giving me a reference when I see her next week.
And I did, eventually, feel like eating, had a late night can of soup. I've had problems in the past with eating too much cheese, so I think that might have started up again, which is a real shame as I love my cheese!
But at least I can get back to my cooking Chicken Rogan Josh for dinner tonight, see y'all tomorrow!

Letting time slip away from me a bit this morning, but I'm being good and still doing my exercises:-

Universal Warmup done,
60 Seconds Tree Pose Hold (EotD) done (My balance was good today),
2 Minute Abs (WotD) done,
Day 23 of Cardio Go! attempted (2 sets, I thought I was getting better at Step Jacks, I was wrong),
Day 5 of The Miner done (Found:- Triple dirt),
Day 15 of Unbound done,
Footwork done,
Stapler done.

Not even any chores to do today, so a nice quiet day of hobbies ahead, and then leftover curry for dinner (Not really looking forward to it, I'm usually good at making curries but this one just tastes like I'm eating my spice rack! But it's edible and I made some nice, if ugly, Flatbreads to go with it).
See y'all tomorrow!

Starting a new (Rather busy) week:-

Universal Warmup done,
10 Upward Downward Dogs (EotD) done,
Peacemaker (WotD) attempted (2 sets),
Day 25 of Cardio Go! attempted (2 sets),
Day 7 of The Miner done (Found:- A ruby, a topaz and some dirt),
Day 17 of Unbound done,
Sore Feet done,
Hand Mobility done.

I am, slowly, getting better at Step Jacks, but a double Step Jack heavy day was too much!

Yesterday was good, the stew was yummy (And weather appropriate as it turned out) and I finished watching season 1 of Fallout in time for season 2 (It's a good show so I'm not quite sure why I stopped watching it the first time), now I've got to catch up on Alien Earth.

I'm doing a little bit of something every day this week, today is volunteering.
See y'all tomorrow!

It's an early exercising day:-

Universal Warmup done,
30 Bridges (EotD) done,
Yoyo (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 26 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets),
Day 8 of The Miner done (Found :- Triple Dirt),
Day 18 of Unbound done,
Happy Feet done,
Talk To The Hand done.

Out and about a lot today. Got a meeting about some volunteer work and then a meeting with my Work Coach and then some grocery shopping, see y'all tomorrow!

Another early exercising day:-

Universal Warmup done,
60 Seconds Side Elbow Plank (EotD) attempted (Managed about 20 seconds a side),
Dash (WotD) attempted (2 sets. Did a low impact downstairs neighbour friendly version, but this resulted in doing a double Step Jack day :sadness:),
Day 27 of Cardio Go! attempted (Not quite 2 sets. So many Step Jacks!),
Day 9 of The Miner done (Found:- Triple dirt. I am not a very successful miner.),
Day 19 of Unbound done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Keyboard Warrior done.

Feeling a bit down today. I didn't get one of the jobs I interviewed for, had all the experience and qualifications needed but the other candidate was bubbly and chatty, so I lost out.
As someone who is fundamentally a very quiet and introverted person, I'm not quite sure what I can do on that front.
Still waiting to hear about the other job, but I'm beginning to worry that I'm going to be unemployed forever.

At least I've got some volunteering today to take my mind off my worries, see y'all tomorrow!

Yesterday was good, the stew was yummy (And weather appropriate as it turned out) and I finished watching season 1 of Fallout in time for season 2 (It's a good show so I'm not quite sure why I stopped watching it the first time), now I've got to catch up on Alien Earth.

Thanks for the reminder about Season 2! I really enjoyed the first season and I'm curious where the story is gonna go.

Taking a break from exercising today, I'm very, very tired.

I went to bed at 8pm last night because I was getting very sleepy and managed to completely derail my sleep schedule, I've been awake, on and off, since about 3am.
The plan is to power through today, go to sleep at my usual time, and hopefully everything will be back to normal tomorrow, I'll see you then!

Thanks! @JCU @graoumia

Still tired, my brain just won't let me have my 8 hours of sleep lately, but at least I don't feel completely run down like I did yesterday, exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
40 Balance Low Turning Kicks (EotD) done (At least my balance is good today),
Hero Squats (WotD) attempted (2 sets),
Day 28 of Cardio Go! attempted (Just the 1 set, it really wore me out!),
Day 10 of The Miner done (Found:- A ruby, an emerald and some dirt),
Day 20 of Unbound done,
Sore Feet done,
Wrist Mobility done.

Did very poorly with the exercising today, really looking forward to getting these last 2 days of Cardio Go! out the way, my body hates it!

Yesterday was a success though, I didn't doze off or anything. Plus the Landlord is going to renovate my kitchen (I don't think it needs it, but I'm not going to turn down a free room makeover!), it's going to be green and black (There were limited colour options for me to choose and I really didn't want to go down the grey/white/cream route said options lent heavily towards).
Today is all about waiting for the Landlord to carpet my living room (Green again). Unfortunately they only do the one room, but they've been so surprisingly helpful with this whole moving thing, I really can't complain about having to save up for two more carpets!
See y'all tomorrow!

The website didn't want to work for me yesterday, so I did what pages I could get open, and a rough guess at the ones I couldn't:-

Universal Warmup done,
20 Scorpion Twists (EotD) done,
Back On Track (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 29 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets, I knew this one would feature March Steps but guessed wrong and did Punching as the other exercise),
Day 11 of The Miner done (Found:- Triple dirt),
Random stretching.

Things seem to be working better today:-

Universal Warmup done,
50 Backfists (EotD) done,
Full Charge (WotD) done,
Day 30 of Cardio Go! done (3 sets, finally all finished!),
Day 12 of The Miner done (Found:- An emerald, a ruby and some dirt),
Day 21 of Unbound done,
Footwork done,
Hand Tendons done.

Glad to have Cardio Go! all wrapped up, I found it surprisingly difficult, turns out 3 to 5 minutes of March Steps (Or worse, Step Jacks) per set is really tough on my old body.

Not sure I'll be able to do much exercising the next couple of days, tomorrow is packed (I've got a job seminar, a job interview and some volunteering to do) and Tuesday I have to be out really early to help set up a community cafe), I will try and fit it in somewhere if I can though as I really want to start The Labyrinth. :stomp:
Speaking of starting the Labyrinth:-

Anyone could join the Adventurer's Guild, it cost 5 copper pieces and you had to be able to write your own name (It was the second one that people usually found more difficult), but to actually obtain the title of Adventurer, and the perks that came with it, was more challenging. You had to travel to the Guild headquarters in the city of Heatherfall, pay 5 silver pieces and complete their training maze called "The Labyrinth".
Many didn't bother, it was a long journey for most and the Labyrinth could be dangerous, it wasn't as bad as that silly "Deathtrap Dungeon" they had in the Western Isles, but you could still be seriously injured or worse.
However, she had decided if she was going to make a living doing this whole questing business, she was going to do it properly, and so, after a long sea voyage and a night in a run-down, but cheap, inn, she joined the short queue outside the Guild buildings.
It did not take long to reach the front desk, where she handed most of her remaining hard earned coins to the grumpy old man behind the counter, and signed her name in the book that was slid towards her. This provoked a tut and a "Kids these days." when the man read it, she wasn't sure why, she thought Valeria Ravenmane was an extremely adventurey sounding name.
The large, double doors to the Labyrinth opened and Valeria stepped through into a long corridor lit by flickering torches, eerily, it was empty despite her only being a minute or two behind the young man that went in before her. The doors closed, there was no choice but to head forwards.

See y'all tomorrow, maybe!
