And we were promised a wet spring.

The cat had been sleeping on my lap, the dog at my feet. I had to get up so I put the cat next to the dog. She sat there for about 5 minutes, just blinking sleepily, then she settled down and went to sleep. As it's been a while since I've seen any posted animal pictures, it's time to revive the practice, so here's a cute picture for your viewing pleasure:

Now let's see if I can get EC!It was that "at the moment" that did it for me. Whether intended or not, it suggested to me that it could change, and not necessarily because I moved it to another room. So over the last couple of days I've been having a hard look at the space, and today I finally moved things around. Marcy stayed where she was because I'm not moving her again! The bike and elliptical are now side by side with plenty of room around them. The squat rack wasn't so heavy (unfortunately) as much as awkward, but I shifted it, and now I have room for my bench to be out all the time and I think the space looks far more workable and pleasant. Additionally, as I had the door hinged in such a way that when it opens, it can be flat against the wall and there's room to do that now, so when I get a screen door fitted to keep the flies and chickens out and the cat in, there'll be a nice cross-breeze. So @aku-chanYour gym space does look a bit claustrophobic at the moment!

I recorded Pixie snoring. She is very loud for a cat; sometimes wakes me up! Unfortunately I wasn't able to upload it.Here, we're not allowed to use our phones in our cars. You'll get booked even if it's on your lap but not being used. Sometimes, though, I want to record thoughts, so I bought myself a small, very basic voice recorder. This morning when I woke up, I reached for it, but the cat, having also just woken up, was in her purry, pummelling mood, and she got going, as she generally does, making that loud popping purr which trying to soften my collarbones (fortunately that hasn't worked yet). I couldn't help myself so I have a 2-minute recording of my cat's loud purrs. I mean, you would, wouldn't you?
My dog snores so loudly I've banned him from the bedroom at night. Even outside the door he can keep me awake! My cat, fortunately, does not snore so she's allowed in.I recorded Pixie snoring. She is very loud for a cat; sometimes wakes me up! Unfortunately I wasn't able to upload it.

My initial thought was "how did he not realise there's an entire Woolies fruit section in his backyard" and then I remembered when my wife told me we had to remove a tree from the front yard because it was blocking sunlight for her veggie patch, and despite living here for an entire year at that point I'd never noticed the 5 metre tall tree right next to the front gate. So, you know, stones in glass houses and all that. Then I took a stroll out the back to the trees that are, for some unknown-to-me reason, fenced off from the rest of the yard. They're near the back fence and when I looked at one, I noticed that - flowers! Oh, great, it's an elder! I wanted an elder (got to prevent lightning strikes and witches, you know!) and I have a great big one - though there are some dead branches that need to be cut off. Filled now with pleasure, I checked out the other trees to see what they were. There is an enormous pear tree (know how big a pear gets in over 20 years?), a plum, a sweet cherry (I think), and a sour cherry that is covered in tiny green fruits.

Caught in the act! What a cute (albeit naughty) dog.Popped outside briefly to the chooks and when I returned, that dog had got the candle again!

Yep! I get this sometimes. I know with food it definitely tastes better when you're hungry/need the energy - I had beans straight from the can after a long hike once, didn't even chuck them on the camping stove and they were magic! Tried them again at home the next week and it wasn't so great.Have you ever noticed how sometimes, something you smell seems so much better than other times when you've smelt that exact same smell? Today for me it was the smell of frying mushrooms.
Honestly, I didn't think it would be so hard. Dunno what I'll get him now. Probably just some clothes. He always needs those. Maybe I'll get him the bar for Christmas.Well, they do say hunger is the best sauce. But I think sometimes things just hit the olfactories a different way.I wonder what the deciding factor is with smell? Hunger? Temperature/humidity?

Today was sky blue. I have 9 more colours (if you include black) to choose from.
