Thank you @JCU @Anek and @CODawn, the hugs and vibes are much appreciated.

And yaaaaaay December is here and with it some great events!
I still have days to go on my challenges and program but I will add Fit December and the December Challenge to the mix to spice things up and also so I don't have to think about starting a new program mid-December, just before leaving for the holidays. The Hall Pass feature is amazing and just what I need to stay on track this December. :)

Hello bees.

Another day yesterday where the evening was... difficult to say the least. Stayed at work until 19h and then rushed to a restaurant at 19h30. So my evening workout went out the door.
The good news is that I caught up this morning. :) So I am still in the december challenge provided nothing bad happens this evening.

Away from my computer today, but wanted to give a quick update nonetheless. Yesterday I arrived home at 21h after a day of working on a call for tender, feeling completely sick to my stomach. So I skipped all my evening workouts and took it easy today. No running.

I DID catch up on Fit December though it entailed using a Hall Pass. I am also on track for the December challenge so that’s good.

I will post the detailed log soon. :)

Still away from my computer.
Back on track with training. Almost caught up with Epic Five.
Honestly can’t wait for Epic Five to be over. It’s great but I should not have started with a L3 Program. Even an add on one.
Wonder if I will feel the same way about Fit December.
If I do, I will just jump in on YWA December and make it a Yoga December.
Need to wake up early if I want to get my run in tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Bit bummed that I couldn’t get a perfect step streak this week. Sickness and work got in the way.
Learn for the future!
Need to move as much as I can to the morning to be sure late work days don’t get in the way.
Or prioritize exercise more.
Still having stomach problems but not interfering with my workout anymore.
Got partner Starting Strength as an early Xmas Gift. He was puzzled but liked it.

That was a very rambling post. My apologies.

Yesterday I hit all the boxes again. Today though I felt particularly tired and sick again so I only did my morning yoga stretches and sun salutations and this in the evening:

I have some hall passes for the December challenge but I want to see how I feel tomorrow and see if I just catch up. It’s just that my abs still hurt terribly today so I felt like it would be better to leave them alone tonight.

:v: Flexible Today Workout

Ok, I forgot to do day 8 of the Step Up challenge and now I am showered and in bed and no way I am going to go and squeeze it in. I will catch up tomorrow.

I ran in the evening today because I wanted to try out running with a headlamp, in case I have a busy day at work and can only run after, for example, or to catch a really early workout and not have the excuse of "but it's dark and I am scared". Headlamp works very well, it was raining a bit and the effect was something else! So no more excuses on that. :)

Also, does anyone have any ide how to do pose five of the Flexible today workout? Because I genuinely don't get it.

I tried that but I end up in an awkward position on my toe tuo rather than with the foot flat on the ground. Maybe I am simply not flexible enough.

To be honest, having just done the exercise to really feel it, I'm pretty sure I've been on the ball of my supporting foot any time in the past. That really twists the hip! If you have to balance without a flat foot, you're still completing the exercise! Because, honestly, even with how close I am to a horizontal split, that's a heck of a twist.

I hope your knee feels better soon! :vibes:

I also have to stand on my toes, with pose 4 I also can't stand on a flat foot. I think it will improve with exercise, I remember being able to do the full pose in the past.
With these kind of exercises the most important thing is not to force yourself into a position, as @JCU said: you'll still complete the exercise. In yoga and stretching it's never about the pose itself, but about the stretch/balance/muscle activation (whatever applies).

@NancyTree thanks for clarifying on the pose :) I will keep that in mind.

Pyjama parties are great but at this age they are also extremely tiring... and this time it was particularly excited girls who came over! I am happy it's over.

I can't believe I finished Epic Five and the Daily Push-Up Challenge. It had become such a part of my daily routine despite my complaints and despite my cursing Epic Five at times due to its intensity. And then after yesterday I was left with a "Now What" feeling.

Thank you @Montserrat , @NancyTree , @Fremen , @Froud , @PetiteSheWolf , @JCU ! All the congratulations brought a smile to my face. So motivating to do more!

So, I want to keep progressing with push-ups, so I am lowering my incline and going with First Thing Push-Ups for the next 30 days. I will on the other hand stick with Fit December until the end of the month because Holidays and also it is so much easier to follow a program when the number of days actually matches!

By the way, for those of you who already did the First Thing Push-Ups challenge, did you do all the push-ups in one go or did you sometimes spread them throughout the day?

Today we had Secret Santa at work. Everyone someone managed to find a really great, perfect present to give to their Secret Santa which is fantastic to see! :D On the other hand I will miss the department christmas lunch tomorrow because as a result of the aforementioned Pyjama Party everyone is sick and I will be playing nurse tomorrow. The aim is to have everyone recovered before nest Tuesday because we are flying to Portugal then.

:v: 50 Side Kicks (I am SO uneven on these, my right leg does a nice side kick but I have to do them very low with my left leg otherwise my hip starts clicking and it gets painful quickly, I think it may be my form, then again I always had something weird with my left hip)

Thanks for sharing @JCU !
Thank you @Anek for the gold stars!

By the way, something I forgot to mention is that the boyfriend is making fun because I’ve gone on a sports clothes shopping spree. I had promised myself I wouldn’t do that before I hit 5k running but then…

  • I realized it’s much simpler to have a pair of running shoes at work and a pair at home
  • Running in winter requires winter running clothes, shorts and random t-shirt don’t cut it anymore
  • Winter running clothes get stinky quickly, especially when you are running four times a week
  • I laundry once a week
  • Laundry now takes an entire day or more to dry
  • If laundry day is whites and my running clothes are dark that’s a week without running clothes
  • Sure I could laundry a second time but that’s never going to happen…
  • So my conclusion is I need three sets of long-sleeved t-shirts and three sets of winter sweatpants or leggings minimum to run, plus two pullovers, because they are pretty. I may throw in a gilet next month.
At least this is how I justify it, in reality I just gained a new appreciation for sports clothes, especially when working from home. 😁

Congrats on the push-up challenge and everything else. :worried:
I did this one too and i did divide the amount into manageable sets, not throughout the day though but with short breaks in the morning. The last one was 30+25+25. I too did incline push-ups and i'm still searching for a possibility to lower the incline in a way i can repeat the challenge.

@Anek and @Montserrat glad to see my reasoning seems sane to other bees. :D
@lofivelcro thanks!
@mavie yeah I see, I am wondering if this is the right challenge for me. I just made my incline harder as a result I can only do 5-5-5 to failure and then I am obliged to do the rest in an easier format. Maybe I should find a different challenge or just work on improving my push-ups this month, challenge-free.

I have very few spoons tonight and have some leftover work stuff to finish, so you won't see me in other people's posts too much I am afraid. I will do a tour in the morning to catch up with everyone!

I am coming down with something, potentially the flu I am not too bad yet so I did yesterday's Fit December but I did not catch up yet on today's exercise, I will do that once I am feeling better. I don't want to use a hall pass because I know I will need them later this month.
