"I just work here."
Checking In! I woke up at 5AM today. I am a bit short of sleep (sleep score 76) but I don't feel too bad. Since I was up and the doggos were not :tears: I meditated and I did my gratitude practice before hitting the shower :p I did my double session, worked for a bit, then went out for a coffee with a friend. We went to the vegan bakery I love so much and we had a great time there. I had a New York roll - YUM! We usually walk there (20 minutes there, 20 minutes back) so I got a lot of steps in towards my daily goal. We stopped by a flower shop (she bought me flowers for the New Year) and by my favorite local grocer on the way back. So I came back home with lots of goodies: sweets from the bakery, flowers, "mystery" berries, flapjacks and some fresh pumpkin for tomorrow :morelove:

I made quick tofu wraps for lunch since I am running around today (admin work for DAREBEE) and I'll make Korean-style dinner tonight to celebrate New Year's Eve. I am not doing anything special apart from that. I am planning on going to bed at 10PM :amused: I used to celebrate more in the past but as I got older, I started focusing more on the first day of the year rather than the last  I have a big day tomorrow:plot:

Is anyone doing anything special today? What about tomorrow? :dkitty:

"mystery" berries,
Some kind of strawberry hybrid?

Same! I have a lot of work to get done today though, so we'll see if that actually happens.
I hope you make your goal and get a good night's sleep, waking up ready to face your big day tomorrow!

There's some administrative stuff I need to get done due to the calendar rolling over tomorrow. Other than that, this time of year is not special to me. (I'll be partying in two weeks with a friend's birthday, Rainbow Day, then my birthday!)

I'm actually trying to finish sewing a pair of historical knee-breeches (with the front flap!) for myself before the end of the year xD Other than that the plan is to have another nice veggie roast, maybe have a little prosecco, and look out the upstairs windows to see if other people are setting their money on fire :chuckle:

Finally convinced my parents that we never do anything but watch the ball drop on our own television, so having a normal supper and evening isn't a bad thing. Will they still fall asleep on the couch and I will have to wake them for the ball drop? Probably!

I was at work today. I will be at work tomorrow. Ah, the life of a retail store manager. Nothing special here unless I can get in a game or two of a card game I play*. Hopefully it will be calm enough to play at least one game through.

*Star Wars Unlimited, if anyone cares to know.

Nothing special here either. We both had to work today. Our main friend group lives in another town and with most of them working on Thursday and Friday, they aren't coming down to visit us like they usually do. And with all the travelling that we have been doing, we decided that a nice, mostly peaceful evening at home was best. It is starting to get dark here, so I expect to start hearing loud music and fireworks starting very soon. We had some fireworks in the neighborhood last night.

As for tomorrow, we have the day off and I am looking forward to starting my new programs. Might have a bike ride. But otherwise, a relaxing day is on the menu.
