OMG, love the pink, too! The blonde works on you as well, so the lighter pink goes with that. Very nice!

Sorry about your palms, that's got to be rough.

Have you ever tried exercise gloves? I think they are more for weights or pull ups, but it might be helpful to not get burned by burpees, too?

@MadamMeow @Mamatigerj thank you all!!! :gotthis:

I used to workout with gloves but dropped them as I don't like the feeling, it's weird, like, I don't have a connection to the weights/pull-up bar? Can't explain in English =( And it won't help with my current condition, the skin is pretty fragile. It has to be unbothered for a while (can't do it, have to workout haha) and treated with a special cream everyday, and I've been neglecting it. Hopefully it all heals up in a week or two =)

Merry Christmas!

My mom's side is from Czechoslovakia and we grew up Russian Orthodox. Always loved getting to have a 2nd Christmas. Was not many gifts, but had the big family dinner with all the cousins and if on a school day, got to have off from that.

:v: Bulgarian split squats — 1x20 (bw), 1x14 (6kg), 3x10 (12kg)

:v: Military press — 1x10 (~12kg), 1x8 (~16kg), 3x6 (~20kg)
:v: Barbell bicep curls — 1x15 (~8kg), 1x12 (10kg), 3x10 (~12kg)

Was kinda tired so skipped till tomorrow
:v: Extra 30 min walk

And a little vid today, too! The push-up struggle is real, man...

Active rest day tomorrow (walking, challenges + maybe one workout from 60 days of HIIT).

I feel like I'm doing better with bodybuilding stuff honestly. Still want to continue 60 days of HIIT and do other fun bodyweight cardio and challenges, but bodybuilding is in my heart from the time I went to the gym. Can't rip it out :D

Not much training done these past few days, I wasn't in the mood to do more than a walk. But I learnt I can do negative dips again, so that's great!

I also just started a new huuuuge cross stitch project (it's actually A LEGIT CARPET) and I am so overwhelmed with it. It's bigger than I thought it would be and I'm scared to work on it lol

But also I'm almost done with my pretty capybara, there are some backstitch details left =)

Today, on January 19th, I'm planning to pay for the gym. That's a big deal for me for some reason. Feeling very anxious getting back there, especially now being heavier than ever. Feels like everyone will look at me even though I know people generally don't give a crap about others at the gym.

At least I have a plan of training seshs with mostly my favourite exercises. If everything goes as planned I might have a leg day today already. Might change things as training goes, but that's the plan for now. Very excited for tomorrow btw, BENCH PRESS MY FAV!!!

1705648312328.png

Also remembered my favourite training album — For Those That Wish To Exist by Architects. Hopefully will hit legs today with it =)

Today's possible leg day is as follows:
  • Front squats, 3x6-10
  • Hip thrusts, 3x8-12
  • Split squats, 3x8-12
  • Hyperextensions, 4x10-15
Not sure about the weights yet, gotta test them out and see what to use (and going near 0-2 reps from failure).

I suck at pulling movements. Don't get them. Guess the goal now is to understand THE PULLS. Also my forearms kinda give in first, but i try to ignore it and push through. I can get straps but don't wanna be dependent on them. GOTTA HAVE STRONG ARMS!

A very busy week ahead. Lots of work tasks, starting my period, training at the gym 5 times a week and actually lowering my calories to the point I lose weight, starting to study project management... I know it's all for the better but still pretty overwhelmed with everything. Let's pray I live through that lol

But I started another cross stitch project which is like a tribute for my ass doing Olympic lifting in the past =) Got 2000+ stitches in in 24 hours lol that's a little bit TOO FAST.

The current state of the project and the mockup for it below.

guys sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days. felt like crap because of periods and even skipped a gym upper body sesh because of it. I'll do legs tomorrow tho I also lost my strake on consecutive days of working out. Was so close to 60 days but oh well :D

Plans for January 27th, 2024
  • Walking challenge — day 1 (let's change my walking so i have more steps on some days in)
  • 60 days of cardio — day 1 (more cardio is good for me to burn extra calories each day... decided to stop 60 days of HIIT for now, will pick it up after that cardio program)
  • Push workout at the gym:
    • Bench press — 3x6-12 (i reeeeeally wanna try 40kg but it can end up being a roll of shame lmao)
    • Military press — 1x8-12 (25kg I guess)
    • Lateral raises — 4x10-20 (4/4kg each arm)
    • Rope tricep extensions — 2x10-20 (supposed to do it overhead but it's awkward to me so no overhead lol)
And lemme try a new shortcut feature (edit: it worksssssss):

hey y'all! thanks for your concern. i'm partially okay :D
@Fremen @MadamMeow @Mamatigerj

been busy with work and stuff. currently having a low grade fever, it started on July 16th approximately and still going. been to my GP, took antibiotics (didn't work) and did a full profile blood test (everything is fine). i think i got covid again and it's the aftermath. going to see my GP again on September 2nd and will probs do another blood test again but to see if i have any covid IgG antibodies (gotta know for sure if it's that or not)

i haven't really lose any weight but i've been walking a lot this summer. even with that stupid fever i'm trying to walk everyday, at least for 30 minutes.

might start working out again at home (bodyweight) for now as i don't wanna risk my safety at the gym lol but i actually benched 50kg for 4 reps back in like May, so that's pretty cool (vid below)! and my deads were pretty strong.

so yeah i think i know what i wanna do at home in September but we shall see. i'll update on that in a couple of days.

and here are two photos from one of my latest walks: the Soyuz (carrier rocket) monument in full size (it's like literally the carrier, not a decoration or smth). it stands in the middle of my city. still can't believe one of these can be launched to the Earth orbit to carry cosmonauts (and astronauts) or other cargo to International Space Station.
