Belated thanks @neilarey @JCU @Fremen @Mamatigerj and @Laura Rainbow Dragon, and a Merry Christmas (or holiday of your choice) to the Hive!

I haven't worked out in ages, as Life has conspired to get in the way - work was crazy, then I was away, then I got sick, then my cat got sick, then I got sick again.... but the crazyness finally seems to be receeding, so I hope to get back on the fitness train soon. I've missed this place.

Just need to make up my mind about a program

Thank you @Laura Rainbow Dragon @JCU!

Just as I was thinking, 'I'd like to do a Level III program, but I think I'll wait until there's an updated version...' along comes @neilarey with the newly updated 30 Days of Change!

So now I have no more excuses haha. I will start it tomorrow. Today I did the Daily Dare before breakfast, and then later in the afternoon we went on our Boxing Day Hike (which always ends up being incredibly muddy without fail) so. After that I'd had enough exercise for one day...

See you tomorrow! (all going to plan!)

Done Today
- 30 Days of Change, Day 2 - 30 sec plank and wall-sit

Today was... hmm. Not bad, exactly. I started to feel the first stirrings of the Bad Feelings, but I was able to step back and go 'OK, what's likely to be causing this?' And then I got out of my bedroom and played board games for a bit, then did my workout and had a shower.

And I was quite proud of myself for that, because when I get like that I often either don't know what's wrong or I get Stuck and don't do anything.

Buuut I was also thinking about about the past few months in general, and realised I've got into a bunch of habits I don't like and want to lose. Like the fact that I'm on my phone in bed now... I never used to do it, then I got into the habit when I was ill and it's stuck. I want to do something to change that.

Anyway it's all food for thought I guess.

See you tomorrow!

Yesterday I did not want to go back to work :confounded:

Not helped by the fact that waking up has been more awful than usual lately. Bad sleep habits? Don't know. Anyway, yesterday Multiplank Day 2 and 30 Days of Change Day 4. I picked multiplank because 1. My plank-holding ability has gone somewhat downhill, and 2. It looks fun. Some of the later positions might be hard for me to hold for long, but I reckon I can break it into as many sets as I need.

Today... just the multiplank. Shark week hit (explains all my fluctuating emotions recently!) and I wasn't up for more.

It'll be midnight in 13 minutes for me. Happy New Year, bees!

This week has been kind of intense. Two nights (back to back) where I had three-hour zoom meetings, working today (Saturday), and also I have a trip coming up in about 2 months that will need a fair bit of preparation and it hit me that it's high time I got on that.

In better news, I've been doing a fairly good job of kicking my phone-in-bed habit, and I've started reading in the evenings again. I also downloaded a sleep tracking app yesterday, to get an idea of what my sleep's actually like and hopefully improve it a bit. Today my sleep score was 76 (Fair), it took me 20 mins to fall asleep, and I slept for 7 hours 58 minutes (which is better than I thought).

Today's Workout
- 30 Days of Change Day 11
- Standing Abs Day 18
- Multiplank Day 10

I'm still? kind of stressed? But in terms Actually Doing Things today was less, so it was OK.

When I think logically I know that actually I'm gonna be fine and there's no real reason to think otherwise, it's just convincing my anxious brain of that lol.

Today's Workout
- Multiplank Day 11
- Standing Abs Day 19
- 30 Days of Change Day 12

Sleep
- Sleep Score: 69 :(
- Sleep Latency: 40 min
- Time Sleeping: 7hr 36min
Not ideal. I think the anxiety is affecting my sleep. Hopefully tonight will be better.

So today started off great (heavy sarcasm) with me waking up feeling The Dread and then built up into an anxiety attack at work. So yeah, that wasn't fun.
Weirdly I actually feel much better now. It's like I just needed to get all that stress out of my system and now I can go back to normal.

Today's Workout
- 30 Days of Change Day 13
- Standing Abs Day 20
- Multiplank Day 12

Sleep
- Sleep Score: 75
- Sleep Latency: 6 min (!)
- Time Sleeping: 8hr 7min
I'd love to get it to 'Good' instead of 'Fair' but this was better than last night so I'll take it for now. Obviously I was exhausted, given that I fell asleep so quickly!

Today was low-stress but unproductive; I did the bare minimum of work and spent a lot of it just messing around/chilling out. No workout today, except my evening walk. I'm OK with it for one day, as a sort of reset thing, but I want to get to back to everything tomorrow.

Sleep
Sleep Score: 76
Sleep Latency: 20 min
Time Sleeping: 7hr 49min

Not much to say about today, it was pretty straightforward. Work home cats etc.

Today's Workout
- 30 Days of Change Day 14, but just the first part. All that shadowboxing wore me out and I decided I'd take a break before the next but... and you know how these things go... didn't get back to it.

Sleep
- Sleep Score: 80 (good!)
- Sleep Latency: 17 min
- Time Sleeping: 7hr 31min

Yesterday! Yesterday I ended up having to do a bunch of complicated and (unexpectedly) physically demanding stuff that wasn't in my job description. Today, my arms and back Ache. Other than that I'm good 👍

Yesterday's Workout
- Standing Abs Days 21 & 22
- Multiplank Day 13
- 30 Days of Change Day 14 (part 2)

Sleep
- Sleep Score: 79
- Sleep Latency: 6 min
- Time Sleeping: 7hr 10min

Today's Workout
- Standing Abs Days 23 & 24
- Multiplank Day 14
- 30 Days of Change Day 15

Didn't track my sleep last night because my phone was almost out of charge.

I've been thinking about food. The past few days I've not been eating great - combination of too much food in general and, especially, too much junk not enough protein and veg. I'd like to do something about that... track my protein or something? Not sure what would be good to aim for.
I don't want a really rigid mealplan or anything because I just won't stick to it. But it would be nice to have a few food-related goals to aim for.

Today has been pretty good. I've recovered from my soreness, and I haven't had much to do (well, a few things. But I decided most of it could wait) so I've spent a lot of time cuddling cats :)

Food thoughts are still floating around my mind. I'm poking at them occasionally in the hopes that they'll coalesce into something solid.

Today's Workout
- Standing Abs Day 25
- 30 Days of Change Day 16

Sleep
- Sleep Score: 70
- Sleep Latency: 22 min
- Time Sleeping: 8hr 31 min (ah, the weekend!)

Today was also pretty good! Went to church, got caught up on some reading, cuddled the cats a bit more, did my workout. I've been a bit overstimulated today so I tried to look after myself as best as I could.

Still thinking food thoughts. I downloaded chronometer - I know a few bees use it - and had a look. It tracks a lot of stuff! Very interesting to me, but also a lot to keep track of. I'll give it a go and see how I found it.

Today's Workout
- Standing Abs Day 26
- Multiplank Day 15
- 30 Days of Change Day 17

Sleep
- Sleep Score: 79
- Sleep Latency: 28 min
- Time Sleeping: 7hr 15 min

Back to work... no it was fine really. Nothing weird or stressful happened, apart from my boss randomly saying 'let me know when you finish that so we can talk' giving me a heart attack for five minutes in case it was something dire haha. Nope, turns out he just wanted to explain the new computer setup to me

I tried logging my food in chronometer today, after playing around with the settings a bit. I'm going to try and hit 100g of protein, see how that goes (I very much did not do that today. But then I didn't eat that much food today because my period hit and it messed with my appetite).

Today's Workout
- Standing Abs Day 27
That was it. Partly because like I was a bit achy, but also because today's 30 Days of Change workout involved going for a walk and the weather was not at all walk-friendly.

Sleep
Sleep Score: 78
Sleep Latency: 29 min
Time Sleeping: 7hr 48min
