Hey hey everyone!
Back, and hoping to be more regular.
As I try to be quite positive here I'll just do a brief recap of...., I've had a lot going on, that included a catastrophic relapse in my sobriety, starting smoking again, some issues with painkillers, and... I don't know really, some sort of mini breakdown maybe. I've got a lot of unresolved pain and trauma inside me I think.
I'm coming out of that now. I haven't drunk for five days. I'm still smoking but stopping that will happen. I've started seeing a counsellor to try to sort some stuff out.
And I want to try to exercise again.
I still walked a bit. And I did the Cardiff 10k. I was really pleased about that, I did it in 52:11, which is really my slowest for a long time, but I had a great time.
I'm sure I'll waffle on about other stuff in time, but I dragged myself into "doing something", in the form of:
And, yesterday, I did Day 1 of Boot Camp programme (at level 1), Exercise of the Day, and 1 round through rebounding workout.
I feel very positive about things now, and I have a 30 day window where I think I can workout every day. I'd like to do an hour every day if I can. And I'd like to somewhat start to transform myself physically. Let's see.
I want to start running again too. I have signed up for a half-marathon in April and my usual set of 10ks. It's not mad to try to get some better times next year. For the moment, I just want to get out and get running again, and, over the autumn and winter my aim is to build up as much mileage as I can.
Thank you, Bees. Good to be back, again. (Recurring patterns?! No! I can't see any recurring patterns here!)
