I'm very satisfied, with today's training I achieved all the goals I had set for this 5-week training cycle:
✅ Get back to training consistently in the gym.
✅ Finding a gym workout that I really enjoy and that motivates me to continue and improve.
✅ Go from 2 to 3 workouts a week at the gym.
✅ Go from classic 45-60 minute strength workouts to 30+ minute with supersets and optimized exercises and timing.
✅ Go from 6 to 12 reps with medium-light weights.
✅ Incorporate various types of push-ups and pull-ups into my gym training consistently and sensibly.
✅ Incorporate various types of kettlebell exercises into my gym routine in a meaningful and consistent manner.
Did I mention I'm very happy with myself? :LOL:

I'm thinking about the new training cycle in the gym that will start on Monday but I've already practically decided to leave the scheme unchanged and only change weights and repetitions. :)
My goal is to improve my strength endurance so that I don't struggle with Muay Thai strength circuits when they get challenging.
They're never too much, but if you don't have a basic weight training background, the few times you use them you'll struggle a lot, so I'm trying to get around that problem.

Today started another 7-week gym training cycle where I plan to go from 6 to 12 reps with slightly heavier weights.
I've added pull-ups to all my workouts, the new bars are so tempting, there's one I can reach without a stool :LOL:

A bat counts as a greatclub, so it's still a Bludgeoning weapon; a Simple weapon, but a weapon. At 1D8 Bludgeoning damage, you just did an average of 45 Bludgeoning damage per set to those ninjas; 315 total.

Either you fought a lot of ninjas, or you turned one into juice.

I finally managed to train, I was waiting for the online shopping to be delivered. :LOL:
I was talking to my mother on the phone the other day about how neither of us particularly enjoys going to the supermarket to do the shopping. We do it because we have to, but we try to do it in such a way as to do it as little as possible.
So since one of the supermarkets where I usually shop introduced home delivery, if there are good offers (free delivery over a certain amount) I always take advantage of them. :)

Today I did the final testing and adjustments to my third weekly workout at the gym. I now officially have a training plan that will last another 6 weeks.

I've been working out regularly at the gym in the morning for almost two months now, and I'd say the new, faster workout—a half-hour of super sets of combined exercises—works really well and gives me the freedom to mix things up a bit between workouts. :LOL:

Now that I've gotten to 10 reps, I'm starting to feel reasonably optimistic that I can get to 12 reps for every exercise I do in the gym, excluding pull-ups. :)

Now begins the balancing act between training at home, strength training at the gym, and Muay Thai in the evening.
The difficult things to harmonize are the unpredictability of Muay Thai training, which obviously I don't decide and which I can only partially moderate, and the accumulation of fatigue if I train seriously 5 times a week.
So far, my gym training is going very well. I've managed to find a good balance between serious but manageable training and a selection of interesting exercises that I enjoy, as well as getting a good workout.
We'll see how it goes. :)
