Thanks everyone for the positive photo responses. :thanks:

I've been sick with a virus since Sunday night. This week there's an audit at work that I'm responsible for, so I've been showing up to work and then coming home and planting myself on the couch. I am feeling a bit better today, yay!

The only thing I did today was:
:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min
:gstar: Endurance Workout - 1 set before my energy ran out. I guess after a very long workday that's ok.

The couch is calling....and my green non-dairy smoothie. :softz:

@MadamMeow @Mamatigerj @Fremen @Anek @Maegaranthelas @Syrius @NancyTree thanks for the vibes everyone :) I am feeling much better and had a very busy weekend working in the yard and catching up on housework. And then on Mother's Day my daughter made me a delicious brunch and gave me roses. ❤️ It's always nice when I don't have to cook or clean up!

Btw, the audit at work well very well! Glad that's done.

13 May workout:

:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min
:rstar: 5 Minute Strength Dumbbell Workout
:rstar: Core Strength - day 29

:chilling: Have a nice evening.

It's been very warm this week; today it was 95F / 35C :phew: And that means lots of hand watering in the garden. After getting home late yesterday I spent two hours watering. I've got to get my irrigation system up and running.....

15 May workout:
:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min
:rstar: Workout of the Day - Hot Potato + Extra Credit
:rstar: Core Strength - day 30 :completed: it took me a while but I finished!

Hmm...what to do next?

:tu: @TopNotch @Syrius @Fremen @Anek @Maegaranthelas @MadamMeow This was my 2nd time through Core Strength, it's a good program.

Yesterday I went for a massage, which was just what this tired body needed. It did aggravate the trigger point in my back, though, so I skipped the workout and applied ice. It's better today.

17 May workout:
:rstar: PT workout - 15 min
:rstar: WoD - Cardio Combat - level 3
:rstar: Spine Stability Workout from the Stability Workouts Collection

I'm enjoying the various collections that Darebee offers. They allow me to focus on particular areas without getting bored with the same workout over and over.

:moves: Happy Friday bees!

:thanks: @NancyTree !

My back was really hurting today when I got up. So my plans of dumping the trailer load of yard debris got cancelled. Which is okay, except the leaves, weeds and fallen branches are piling up! I did some watering but then the wind really kicked up and the plans of using the blower on the driveway and patio were cancelled too. I made whole wheat applesauce muffins instead. :eatall:

18 May workout:
:rstar: PT Exercises - 15 min
:rstar: WoD Here Be Dragons Just what I needed, a low impact workout
:rstar: Back Pain Workout

Time for an icepack. Have a nice evening bees.

@Anek thank you!

Yesterday was busy and I wasn't home long so:
19 May workout:
:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min

20 May workout:
:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min
:rstar: Full Body Kettlebell Workout - One of my favorite workouts. I've been missing my kettlebells.
:rstar: Standing Core Workout - I had to stop after 1 set; the twisting motions were not good for my back. Maybe another day.

Have a nice evening bees! :poke:

Such a hectic day! The end of school (for students) is looming. Meanwhile everything gets cranked up a notch as we plan end of year activities, fiscal year end, prep for next year. We had a taco bar office potluck today which helped smooth things out. :taco::drool:I ate too much.

21 May workout:
:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min
:rstar: Cardio & Abs Program - day 1 Thought I'd give this one a try. I will alternate will weight training and stability/stretching.
:rstar: EoD (jumping lunges) in one go

Enjoy the evening!

Today is my last day off before returning to work. My plans for the weekend were changed as I had a major back flare up. Sitting in a car and driving for 7 hours were out of the question so I cancelled my trip. My friend was very understanding about my change of plans and is looking forward in the near future to when we can have our visit. Mostly I rested my back but as the pain diminished I did some careful puttering about the house and garden. Daughter spent most of her waking hours with her boyfriend so it was quiet. I think that was what I needed.

I am beginning again. I press on.

28 May Workout:
:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min
:rstar: Walk, Run, Repeat Workout - level 1
:rstar: Everyday Stretching Light Workout

:hopeful:

Took a brief break from logging because there hasn't been much to tell. I got sick again over the weekend and now have a full blown cold. It's so very frustrating and not like me. I had some labs done yesterday to check if everything's okay. I won't get the results for awhile though. Meanwhile, I'm trying to rest which is difficult during the last several days of school. Pure chaos.
Today I was challenged to write out my bucket list. I have an extensive list in my head but have never put it down. That's about to change. Thanks @TopNotch for sharing your cousin's Bucket List song. It was perfect timing.

June 4 Workout:
:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min
:rstar: Chrysalis workout Nice mellow stretching.

Have a relaxing evening bees.

Never actually considered a Bucket List, myself. After all, what happens when you've crossed the last thing off? On the other hand, if I couldn't cross that last thing off, would I be dissatisfied, my OCD-tendencies rampant?
Yes there is something very satisfying about crossing off things on a list! It's a gamble either way. I guess if I got towards the end of my list I'd be too old or too tired or too broke to care much. But I would have lived. :ss:

I am feeling much better today after a good night's rest. Maybe it was the giant bulletproof coffee I made this morning after I got up an hour late? :coffee:

We're having a mini heat wave here. Today it was 98F / 37C. Perfect for the students who went whitewater rafting. Wish I could've gone!

5 June workout:
:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min
:rstar: Six O'Clock workout - gotta work those glutes
:rstar: EoD Squat Hold Calf Raises in one go

Have a good one! :toohot:

It was a busy few days. I had a consult about getting another cortisone shot for my back. They will give me one more but if the pain comes back they will recommend a nerve ablation. So progress of a sort, I guess.
Over the weekend I did a major yard clean up and took several trailer loads of yard waste and junk to the dump. Wow it felt good. I found a friend sunning itself on the driveway. It's a harmless (but large!) gopher snake, so I let it be. Hopefully it's eating lots of ground squirrels. :muahaha:

10 June workout:
:rstar: PT Exercises - 15 min
:rstar: Full Body Kettlebell Workout
:rstar: Super Abs Challenge - day 1

Did I mention that I work in a circus??? Oh. My. Goodness. Tomorrow is the last day for students. I'm not even going to try to get any work done! :cantcope:

I really wanted to run to the lake and jump in but settled for the following:

11 June workout:
:rstar: PT exercises - 15 min
:rstar: Full Circuit Program - day 1. I've done this before and liked it. Time for a repeat.
:rstar: Super Abs Challenge - day 2

Enjoy your evening!
