The kittens have been exploring again
Neither knows what to do with the Christmas tree
It's hysterical
I'm worried about the ornaments we will be putting up tomorrow
And we've all agreed that bows and ribbons will wait until day of
I am envisioning trails and empty spots around the presents for all three cats
It'll be Casper's first year without the gating around the tree, too!
Good: got that tree up without issue!

Meant to exercise after Mom came home so we could watch Colbert together
Fell asleep and Mom was quiet enough for my nap to last two and a half hours
So I just wasn't up to raising my heart rate too much!

Ignores it entirely
So I have an incredibly curious kitten who explores everything if he can join me in the bathroom
But he lets me hold him for cuddles
So it balances out!
(And the unblinking focus on the sink when I brush my teeth is hysterical)
Black cats may be voids of darkness
But white cats in the darkness? With blown pupils to see? Voids instead of eyes? Horrifying!

More kitten drama:
Casper was under the blanket and Nobu was curious
Casper was growling when Nobu was just on top of the blanket
I did not want that fight on my legs!
So I had to pull Nobu away from my lap multiple times
(He's smart, though! Knows exactly where to get under!)

Bowl = cross contamination. In nature, cats drink far upstream from where they eat, and eat away from water sources because instincts know what contamination is, even if the brain doesn't comprehend it like ours does, and poop far away from both, which is not only to prevent cross-contamination, but an act of self-preservation from larger predators. So, in the home, a cat would rather drink from a running water source, like a faucet, eat from a lower elevation to their drinking source, and poop in a protected place far from both.

@OJJJEM i understand the logic, but his behaviour changed over time. But he is fun when he begged us to open the faucet

Not been feeling great (sinus infection is attempting to take root)
