Ah, yes, sadly, it is for real. Her friend posted on her thread when it happened. She fought hard but her cancer came roaring back….
New doggo, Canoe, is 50/50 Doberman /Labrador. Super sweet, but adament about guarding and boundaries. We are in training with him to manage his behavior and prevent litigation due to his teeth🥴. He’s 95 pounds!!!!😂😱

——MERRY WINTER HOLIDAY——

AM- woke up at nearly 7:30 by husb’s snoring again. Then 10 mins after I got up, he was up😣. This is why I usually go to sleep by 10pm: so I can avoid this wake up cycle…😏😤
Outside is cloudy, but the sun is out there. It’s 32 (F)degrees feels like 26.

  • Park play w/doggo gfs: x60 mins✅..lots of drama between the 2 girl doggos a couple days ago, resulting in the older one being severely wounded in her ear and face. The younger one was all sorts of hyper vigilant today, such that the owner had to take the older one home while I kept the younger one leashed, and at the park with me and Canoe. Then later, when Canoe was playing (both were off leash) with the younger one as we were about to leave, he got his teeth stuck in her neck chain and the two of them panicked and were twisting around screaming, and scaring the two of us humans to death trying to get them disconnected. It was a bloody mess in Canoe’s mouth. But, I’m actually not sure whose blood it was, since I don’t see any leaking out of his face now….😵‍💫😨

I hope your hip heals up quickly.
Amazingly, I do not see any missing teeth in his mouth. Those things must be rooted into his brain, cuz he was chewing up stuff incl bones, as if nothing had happened!🤷🏼😤

It’s actually my doggo’s playmate/
girlfriend (aka: my friend’s dog). The owner took her to the vet and she does *not* have an infected face from the fight, although it is still quite swollen. But, he gave antibiotics anyway since she is an elderly dog and immune function is reduced, plus they live with a bunch of cats🥸

AM- awake at 6:30am (PST) to Canoe’s tap tap tap toenails on the floor. When I woke up, he went back to bed! He was up earlier in the night and slept with me on the bed for a while. But, he wanted to be too close to my face for my comfort. I indicated by pushing his face away and he moved away🥰.
