AM- awake at 4:30am (PST) with more pain. All the plant medicine had worn off, as well as the pharmaceuticals. I struggled to stay in bed, then got up before 7am. So, that makes 6+ hours of solid sleep and another 2 hours of restless-and-trying-to-get-back-into-a-deep sleep.🫣😓

My Penny dog from years ago was famous for eating her own barf. Boo did not do that, except for the rare occasion, and *if* he had just had his kibble, and then it was mostly the same (intact) as it went down. Canoe has NEVER done that. He is too persnickety…he *tries* to want to, but cannot make himself do it😂.
We have the bedrooms gated off at night so he cannot go barf in some out of the way corner of the house. We can easily find any such thing, since there are limited places for him to be at night. Besides, he is so boundary conscious he won’t go into rooms he has not been invited into and oriented to.🥴. He’s a funny doggo😍
He does not seem to have any residual effects from that night, thankfully….🥳

Well, actually, we are gonna have to replace the entire system as the furnace portion is over 20 years old. So, we’ve been using space heaters all weekend and will hopefully see the sales guy early this week for an estimate. Oof. Also, hopefully, supply chain issues won’t keep us from getting set up with a system before summer.🫣🤞🏻

Ugh! We had I think it was 8 days with no boiler during the coldest part of winter one year when I was living with my parents. Not fun, because with my father being disabled, I couldn't just take him to a hotel. Thankfully we also had a fireplace in that house, which helped. (Though I had to get help with chopping enough wood.)

I hope you will be able to get a new system installed soon! (And that the worst of winter will be over for you even sooner!)

AM- awake at 7am (PST) after 9 hours in bed🛌💤🤩. I was pretty solidly sleeping until midnight, when Canoe started hawking/coughing. This did not stop, so husb took him outside to let him breathe clear air, and the coughing stopped. With our HVAC system dead, we don’t have as many air filters in action as we normally do. The pollen count is already going up outside and inside, we have dust, molds, mildews from constant humidifiers. So, there are all sorts of possible allergens for the doggo, as well as for me. Once Canoe was calmed down, I was able to go right back to sleep.🤩💤

AM- up twice in the 1am hour to get Canoe outside. When he was back inside he paced for another hour, and tried to get husb up. There was something outside he apparently thought needed watching. I finally got him to settle in his bed after 2am. I struggled to get back to sleep for another hour. Finally woke up for the day at 7:30am (PDT) feeling UNrested. However, with the time change, none of this was unexpected. The doggo just does not do well with time changes, either…😩🐕‍🦺

AM- awakened at 1am by husb unloading our *medication fridge* in our bedroom. It was over heating due to ice build up in the freezer compartment. He heard bad noises and was afraid of it starting a fire. We moved it outside, then went back to bed. Then, at 5am, I was awakened by the bathroom fan flapping in the wind that had come up outside. After husb plugged/dampened that racket, I went back to sleep until 7:30am (PDT). At least I had fallen asleep at 10pm, so there was a good 9+ hours of rest🤩💤

I'm so sad for you, i went through this for other reasons, 27 years ago, and it is very long, it takes time, but it is a bit less difficult with years. Take care
