Today I ran for the first time in a very long time. It was a nice run, not too fast, but no need to pause. I encountered some cows, one of them on my path, with no intention of going elsewhere. So I off-roaded for a bit before getting back on track. Let’s hope I’m also back on track re regularly running.

@Lallafa @mavie @Laura Rainbow Dragon @Anek Thanks! The cow is a Scottish Highlander, a very sturdy breed of cows. They freely roam around in the dunes nearby, a nature reserve. The Highlanders are usually kept in areas that benefit from being relatively poor in vegetation. Traditionally the dunes are kept open by rabbits, but the rabbit population has suffered terribly from myxomatosis and RHD. So that’s why we have free roaming cows and horses. The Highlanders have massive horns, which look very scary and keep tourists, runners and hikers on a safe distance. But to tell you a secret: they are very friendly, a bit curious and mostly harmless. I would not tease them though, they’re huge.

  • Unbound is a nice stretching program, 100% recommended if you have 4 to 8 minutes per day to spare.
  • Push Pull Legs is a fun strength oriented program with dumbells. I don’t know why there’s always 2 minutes rest between sets and exercises, I’d recommend 30 seconds to catch your breath. I’ve used 5 kg dumbells for most exercises, 2,5 kg for lateral raises. I did gain a bit of muscle.
