Thanks! @NightWolf714 - As Christmases go it's actually been a fairly good one!

Not volunteering today as planned (The lady I help has caught the Christmas lurgy), so instead I had some extra sleep, but now it's some exercise time to finish off the week:-

Universal Warmup done,
30 Seconds Balance Hold (EotD) done,
Walk It Off (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 28 of Fit December done,
Day 28 of 2 Minute Mobility done,
Superhero Stretch done,
Footwork done,
Keyboard Warrior done.

Since I did all my chores yesterday, I don't know what to do with today, see y'all tomorrow!

@NightWolf714 - I did not. I had a bit of a movie day, but I ended up going to bed early because I was bored and tired!

Start of a new week of exercising:-

Universal Warmup done,
10 Upward Downward Dogs (EotD) done,
The Cake is a Lie (WotD) done (3 sets with Crunches),
Day 29 of Fit December done,
Day 29 of 2 Minute Mobility done,
Hamstring Stretch done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Wrist Mobility done.

Another quiet day ahead, I was so busy in the run up to Christmas that I don't know what to do with myself now.
I did download an app that shows all these walks you can go on in the surrounding area, but I can't actually walk to any of them! Must be somewhere I can go today though, see y'all tomorrow!

Urgh... Another double Arm Circles day:-

Universal Warmup done,
20 Toe Tap Hops (EotD) done,
Setting Goals (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 30 of Fit December done,
Day 30 of 2 Minute Mobility done (All finished!),
Upperbody Stretch done,
Sore Feet done,
Wrist Pain done.

Glad the Challenge is over, the Arm Circles did get slightly easier over time but I never did break the 1 minute barrier.

Another quiet day ahead :panic:, luckily I've got work Wednesday and Thursday to give me something to do.
See y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @Jaga @agc @graoumia @PetiteSheWolf @NightTigress @Mamatigerj @Laura Rainbow Dragon @JCU @Anek @GSD @MangoTux @Fremen @TopNotch

I had to be out early this morning, so I was going to do a split exercise day, but I've battled the supermarket crowds and lugged home some very heavy shopping bags, so I'm done for the day.
Just my morning bits:-

Universal Warmup done,
31 Squat Jacks (EotD) done,
Day 31 of Fit December done (I've finally finished one after all these years!).

The lady I help out at volunteering still isn't feeling too good, so I was manning the community cafe kitchen solo today. Luckily a reduced Christmas service was still in effect, so I managed, but hopefully she's fighting fit by the time we start doing meals again!
Not sure if I timed my trip to the supermarket well or not. I arrived just as they were starting to reduce prices, so I managed to get some good bargains but it was absolute pandemonium with people grabbing everything they could, and filling up entire trolleys with cheap chickens! It was funny though, one lady thought she was being clever, and was taking things off the shop workers cart before they could put them on the shelf. Only problem was, the shop assistant was putting the reduced stickers on while she was filling up the shelf, nothing on the cart had been reduced yet. She tried explaining to the lady what she was doing wrong but she wouldn't listen, she was too convinced she had found some magic loophole.

I will see y'all next year!

Thanks again! @NightTigress @Fremen @JCU @Laura Rainbow Dragon @MangoTux

Happy New Year everybody! :celeb:

I'm starting the new year off with some early morning exercising:-

Universal Warmup done,
50 Jumping Step Jacks (EotD) done,
Full Reset (WotD) done (3 sets with Knee Push-Ups),
Day 1 of House of the Valkyrie done (3 sets),
Day 1 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Shoulder Stretch done,
Happy Feet done,
Stapler done.

It might sound weird but I do miss having that celebrate button to push when I tally up my exercises. :chat:

Working at the stadium today, going to be getting my steps in as the buses aren't running, and then Cauliflower Cheese Soup for dinner, see y'all tomorrow!

Valeria sighed. She had been in this new world of Vashrunn for a couple weeks now, but she still couldn't get used to how danged hot it was all day, or how her new, shorter, hairstyle left her shoulders feeling oddly naked (The events in the Labyrinth had taken such a toll on her hair that no amount of washing and brushing ever sorted it out. Her only recourse had been to cut it off, and now it came to just below her ears she was realising that naming yourself after your hair was a bit silly), and now Ralf had insisted she get some proper fight training at a place called the House of the Valkyrie.
She had seen the winged warrior women walking, or, more often, swooping around the city before. Ralf claimed that their training programs were widely considered some of the best and she wouldn't end up with wings by the end, but at the moment she wasn't sure how much she trusted him or the Adventurers Guild. Their motives may have been well intentioned, but tricking her into taking part in a literal game of life or death to see if she was up to joining their secret society of multiversal defenders was another thing that wasn't sitting well with her at the moment.
The House itself was a large and very tall building built on the outskirts of the city, its upper floors containing many openings from which Valeria watched the Valkyries flying off to do whatever it was Valkyries did. Slowly but surely the large crowd of people gathered around the main entrance slowly made their way inside. The hall inside was vast, Ralf had been right about one thing, Valkyrie training was very popular. The mass of people were divided into smaller groups, each overseen by its own Valkyrie (Hers was an older woman with jet-black wings), and then each group was split into pairs. "The first test is a sparring match." explained the raven-winged woman, "Those that win will move on to the training itself, the others will have to try again next year."
Valeria's opponent was a young woman about her age but taller, her very tanned skin suggesting she was a native of this world. "Begin." The young woman bowed to Valeria, idiot, she might not have had any formal fight training, but Valeria knew you didn't expect your opponent to fight fair. Before the woman raised her head, Valeria quickly took a step forward and brought her knee up hard into the woman's face, she staggered back, nose broken and gushing blood, but Valeria kept up the momentum and unleashed a flurry of punches until an arm, and wing, came up, separating the two.
"You are the winner." the Valkyrie motioned to Valeria and handed her a little metal badge shaped like wings, before moving on to monitor the other fights. Valeria's opponent shot her a look of pure hatred before storming off out of the hall. "Well" She thought as she pinned her new badge next to her blue Guild one "I'm not here to make friends."
Valeria returns! I'm not sure if this program will provide as many writing prompts as The Labyrinth did, but we will see how it goes.

A little late getting to my exercising today, started job hunting again, but there's nothing much out there yet that I can commute to (There was one job doing kitchen work in a pub, but the job site I was on redirected me to another job site, that in turn, redirected me to a third, that wouldn't let me apply without registering with them first. I went to the companies site to apply directly instead, but they don't have any vacancies, no idea what that was about :gotq:).

Anyways, exercising:-

Universal Warmup done,
30 Seconds Raised Leg Hold (EotD) done,
Core and Balance (WotD) done,
Day 2 of House of the Valkyrie done (3 sets),
Day 2 of Wall Push-Ups done (I'm not good with "To failure" workouts, so for the holds I started at a 10 count today and I'll go up by 5 every hold day until I can hold no more!),
Full Body Stretch done,
Footwork done,
Hand Tendons done.

It's a visiting the Housemate day, let's see if she'll talk to me today and not throw things, and then it's soup for dinner (I didn't make it yesterday, the allure of reheating a couple of leftover stadium pies instead of cooking was too strong, at least they didn't make me ill this time!).
See y'all tomorrow!

Valeria stood and watched the other sparring matches, some were taking this as an opportunity to respectfully test a worthy opponent, while others had taken her approach of simply pummelling their rival as soon as possible. The training course seemed to have attracted applicants from all across the Empire of a Thousand Worlds, there were even a few races Valeria hadn't seen in the flesh yet (Discovering there were more than humans out there had been almost as big of a shock as discovering there were multiple worlds).
Eventually the fighting was over and the original, sizeable crowd had been reduced by half. Next, several Valkyries took to the air, hovering a few feet above everyone's heads, while the others maintained their positions on the ground. Suddenly, the floor tiles in the hall began to move, alternating between raising and falling, tilting and spinning. Valeria shifted her balance and remained upright, others were not so quick. "Make your way to the wall furthest from you, if you fall more than twice stay on the floor." Came a loud, echoing voice from somewhere above "Now, begin."
Valeria slowly and methodically began making her way to the northern wall, focusing on the tiles ahead while also keeping an eye out for any people that might come stumbling into her. It was difficult, she had done this before in the Labyrinth, but this was a much larger space and she hadn't had to be careful of others. Despite needing to concentrate, she couldn't help but wonder what this test was for, it wasn't until she caught a glimpse of one of the Valkyries standing almost motionless despite the bucking floor beneath her, adjusting her balance with little movements of her wings that it clicked. They may appear incredibly graceful, but without a lot of practice those cumbersome wings must make doing everything so difficult. Valeria was used to her hair getting in the way sometimes (Okay, a lot of the time), but there was really no comparison.
There were a few stumbles, but she finally made it to the wall without falling over once. Again, others were not so lucky, at least two thirds of the remaining applicants hadn't made it. But no one else was sent home, this just seemed to be about sorting out those with good balance and those without. Valeria and the others who had remained on their feet were ushered into a different room.

Too danged cold to get up this morning!

Exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
20 Hero Squats (EotD) done,
Fullbody Render (WotD) done (3 sets with Crunches and Knee Push-Ups),
Day 3 of House of the Valkyrie done (I chose Skyshield, Windcore and Stormhammer. I will probably regret picking 3 later on!)
Day 3 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Chest and Lower Back Stretching done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Hand Mobility done.

I'm worn out! That was a lot of Push-Ups even if they were of the Wall and Knee varieties.

Yesterday went as expected, Housemate was happy to see me for about a minute and then told me to f*** off and never come back, and I'm expected to bring her some more clothes next time, the cheek! (Actually, I don't mind. But it's lucky I've got my little job now or I wouldn't have been able to afford it.)
My walking app has several routes that start in the area of her Care Home, so I think in future I'll head up there earlier, then if she is in a grump I can go for a nice long walk afterwards.

Quiet day ahead. I'm determined to actually do some model painting or dot art this time, instead of procrastinating for ages and then wasting the rest of the day on social media.
See y'all tomorrow!

The room Valeria's group was led into was lined with rows of armour stands and weapon racks. "Don your armour and choose your weapon." They were told. She wandered the stands until she found one about her size and slipped it over her head, it wasn't so much armour, more a heavily weighted vest that shifted her centre of gravity. Next she turned her attention to weapons, much like the armour it came in all sizes, but there wasn't much variety. She had a choice of winged bow, winged shield or winged hammer, "Why was a swordswoman being told to train in a place that didn't use swords?" Valeria decided not to voice her thoughts aloud and instead picked out a shield and hammer. Much like the armour they were impractically heavy and cumbersomely weighted, it appeared this was going to be about working on strength and stamina rather than actual weapons training.

I wasn't feeling too nifty yesterday, heating wasn't working when I got up and while it was an easy fix (Why is something so important battery operated?) I just could not get warm all day and kept falling asleep.
Doing some catching up today:-

Universal Warmup done,
30 Seconds Plank Hold (EotD) done,
Days 4 and 5 of House of the Valkyrie done (3 sets),
Days 4 and 5 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Arms and Shoulders Stretching done,
Sore Feet done,
Talk to the Hand done.

Got to go out into the snow later for a meeting with my Work Coach and then back in the warm with Tuna Pasta Bake for dinner, see y'all tomorrow!

Weapons chosen, everyone was led outside into a large open field at the rear of the building, and split into further groups depending on what they had picked. Valeria's group of hammer plus shield (Plus one big, burly lizardman who had chosen two hammers) was the smallest, further confirming in her mind that picking two things had probably been a mistake.
The rest of the day was spent running, jumping and generally swinging their weapons around under the watchful gaze of a pair of Valkyries. Valeria's limbs burned with effort but she kept up the pace as best as she could, until, finally, everyone was instructed to return everything to the equipment room, the first days training was over. A very worn out Valeria carefully returned her weapons to their racks and hung up her armour before leaving with everyone else.
Most of her fellow trainees seemed to be camping just outside the city, but Valeria headed back to the Guild headquarters where she had been given a room. "And how was your first day at Valkyrie school?" Although he was undoubtedly very busy, Ralf was waiting at the entrance to greet her, Valeria gave him a slight smile "Exhausting." she replied "But I'm interested in seeing where it leads."
"Good, good! Let me know if you need anything." And with that he headed back to his office while Valeria headed to her room, it was time for a nice, hot bath and something to eat.

I missed a couple days because it is too danged cold! This place doesn't retain the heat very well, and it's hard to work up any enthusiasm to do anything apart stay wrapped up in my duvet and sleep.
Trying to tough it out this morning though:-

Universal Warmup done,
20 Knee-to-Elbow (EotD) done,
Days 6 and 7 of House of the Valkyrie done (3 sets),
Days 6 and 7 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Arms & Chest Stretching done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Keyboard Warrior done.

I got through my workout okay, and then I hurt my back picking up my exercise mat!

I might be helping someone move today, but they haven't called me back yet, so hopefully they've got all the help they need and I can just have a quiet day at home instead.
See y'all tomorrow!

Not doing much today (It's too cold, drizzly and grey out there), so it was hard to get out of my nice cosy bed, managed it eventually though:-

Universal Warmup done,
Days 8 and 9 of House of the Valkyrie done (3 sets Still managed all 3 items although Windcore is already getting tough),
Days 8 and 9 of Wall Push-Ups done (Not sure I'm getting much further than a 20 second hold but we will see),
Neck and Shoulders done,
Sore Feet done,
Wrist Mobility done.

At least I'm all caught up now, just got to keep it that way, see y'all tomorrow!

It's going to be a long, tiring day. Could not switch off my brain last night (It was playing snippets of songs), so I got very little sleep.
Attempting exercising:-

Universal Warmup done,
30 Squat Hold Calf Raises (EotD) done,
Sentinel (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 10 of House of the Valkyrie done (Tried to do 60 seconds on the Squat Hold and Squat Hold Punches too, didn't quite make it but I got very close!),
Day 10 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Top to Bottom attempted (Crap, I really mangled my back with this one).

Should have listened to my body, my back was already getting aggravated by all the squats I did today, but nope, had to try and finish everything.
I've got work in 4 hours, so hopefully I can heal up enough in time, but considering it's hard to move and I'm feeling very light headed, I'm not optimistic.

See y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @Rissa @Fremen @Laura Rainbow Dragon @JCU - My back still hurts a lot, but I did go to work yesterday, being on my feet all afternoon actually seems to have helped quite a bit.

Still going to switch to lighter exercises though, at least until I'm a bit more bendy again:-

Universal Warmup done,
40 Side Bends (EotD) done,
Overdue (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 1 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 11 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Happy Feet done,
Wrist Pain done.

I might be being a bit too cautious, but I did struggle a little with today's stuff (Those first couple of sets of Sit-to-Stands were really tough!), and I'm at least doing something, not lounging around all day because I hurt like I normally would.
Pizza for dinner, yay! I'll see y'all tomorrow!

It's the start of a new week:-

Universal Warmup done,
40 Archers (EotD) done,
Watchman (WotD) attempted (3 sets, couldn't do the Lunges and had to be very careful with the Squat Holds),
Day 2 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 12 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Lower Back Seated done,
Footwork done (It was a weird sensation moving my foot and feeling it tugging something in my back!),
Stapler done.

Had a quiet day yesterday trying out the new anime season, there are some promising shows, but lets hope we get some actual endings this time unlike last season.
Monday night volunteering has started up again, so that's the plan for today.

See y'all tomorrow!

A very long, tiring day yesterday, so tiring I apparently forgot to post my exercises for the day! (I definitely did some, because I had to do Bicep Curls for @Laura Rainbow Dragon 's birthday), so yesterday:-

Universal Warmup done,
55 Bicep Curls (Replacement EotD) done,
Day 3 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 13 of Wall Push-Ups done.

Another long, tiring day today (I've been working, yay!), but I've remembered to update my thread:-

Universal Warmup done,
Winter Shield (Replacement WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 4 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 14 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Hand Tendons done.

Yesterday I was helping do a buffet at the Church (it was for a wake), so lots of cutting things up and making many a sandwich.
Today I did a shift with my Care Home job, turns out it might be a real job after all! The lady messaged me Monday, apologised for the short notice, but asked if I could come in today, and while I was there today, we went through their calendar and I've got a couple more shifts for this month and about a dozen in February.
And I've got an interview next week for a part-time job with regular hours, so things are going well at the moment.

Going to treat myself to some Fish and Chips for dinner, I'll see y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @Laura Rainbow Dragon - I hope you had a good, if probably very tiring birthday!

Up a bit early today, I was going to rest up and get some extra sleep, but I accidentally booked some train tickets for today instead of tomorrow, exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
30 W Extensions (EotD) done (Standing ones),
Stormsister (Replacement WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 5 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 15 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Sore Feet done,
Hand Mobility done.

Visiting the Housemate today, I've been given a grant to help me cover the costs of travelling up there more often, which was very nice of them (They think it will do her mental health some good to regularly see someone she knows). Hopefully the Housemate agrees and is in a non-shouty mood.
Japanese Rice Bowl for dinner when I come home, see y'all tomorrow!

Got a little bit of extra sleep this morning, now it's exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
50 Shoulder Taps (EotD) done,
January 1st (Replacement WotD) done (3 sets, so much arm wriggling!),
Day 6 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 16 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Happy Feet done,
Talk to the Hand done.

The Housemate was very grumpy again yesterday (The staff just don't understand, whenever I'm not there all she does is ask if I'm going to be visiting today, it's why they applied for that grant for me, but when I do visit she doesn't want me there ). I don't mind as much as I used to though, despite being further away, her new Care Home is much easier and quicker to get to, so it doesn't feel like I've wasted the whole day when I visit now. Plus, like I said before, when it's not pouring down with rain like it was yesterday, I can start going hiking afterwards.

Got a meeting with my Work Coach this morning, but then the rest of the day is my own, plus leftover Rice Bowl for dinner (It worked really well despite having to use beef mince instead of sliced steak). see y'all tomorrow!

Up early again today, exercise time:-

Universal Warmup done,
No Equipment Bicep Builder (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 7 of Square One done (3 sets. It finally clicked that Sit-to-Stands are really just assisted Squats, so I did that instead, my brain finds them easier),
Day 17 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Keyboard Warrior done.

Work today, there's roadworks everywhere so I'm going to walk in, plus it's an early shift because it's an early match (Apparently that means it's going to be televised which is a big deal I'm told, I don't follow sports so I don't really understand, I'm just guessing that that means we're going to be extra busy!).
Had a bit of good luck yesterday. While I was in town I was going to buy myself a new Dr. Who DVD for my collection, but decided to wait until the end of the month just in case any unexpected bills pop up, and then I popped in to a charity shop on the way home, and there was a Dr. Who DVD in there for a tenth of the price, yay! :yas:
(It was weird though, I've been getting DVD's from charity shops for years and that's the first time I've seen that series in one.)

Chinese Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup for dinner, see y'all tomorrow!

End of another week:-

Universal Warmup done,
50 Side Jacks (EotD) done,
Perseverance (WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 8 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 18 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Sore Feet done,
Wrist Mobility done.

My back is healing up nicely, staying active seems to be doing it the world of good, but it is still quite stiff and achey, so I'll continue to take things easier for the next week.

A quiet day of chores ahead, see y'all tomorrow!

Start of a new week:-

Universal Warmup done,
Easy Does It (Replacement WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 9 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 19 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Footwork done,
Wrist Pain done.

Yesterday, I made a start on rewatching Sailor Moon using my old DVD sets with the janky audio, kinda depressing to realise I've owned them for 23 years at this point, I'm getting old! :sadness:

Got a very busy day tomorrow with no time for exercise (I'm going to be out and about from about 8am to 10pm), so I will see y'all on Wednesday!

@Rissa - My anime DVD collection has been downsized a lot over the years, but I've always tried to hang on to the important ones!

Very tired and worn out this morning, I don't think I'm cut out to be a working person, all I want to do is go back to bed but I've got volunteering later
On with the exercises:-

Universal Warmup done,
She Ascends (Replacement WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 10 of Square One done (3 sets),
Days 20 and 21 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Ankle Recovery done,
Stapler done.

Yesterday's triple whammy of volunteering job, regular job and job interview was a bit much and I really should have dropped one, but at least I think the interview went well.
I apparently also have to train a person to do my volunteering job because it was a bit of a disaster when I wasn't there last week (Not quite sure where you can go wrong with:- assign customer a number, write down what they want, take their monies, pass order to kitchen staff. but it seems it's possible!).
Volunteering at the community cafe plus grocery shopping at the big supermarket today, but then that's it until Sunday so I can sleep for a few days, see y'all tomorrow!

Thanks! @colin

Got an extra couple of hours sleep, which has left me even more tired (I will never understand how that works), still doing my exercises though:-

Universal Warmup done,
Re-Entry (Replacement WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 11 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 22 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Sore Feet done,
Hand Tendons done.

Taking it easy today, at least until my brain wakes up, plus Harissa Chicken and Butternut Squash Pilaf for dinner.
See y'all tomorrow!

That's sooo cool! I still have full collection of Sailor Moon and Sailor-V mangas. It belonged to my older sister and at some point she gave it to me. I remember that I was learning how to read with these comic books. Probably first thing I've ever read. You made me check how old are they, because I remeber the from forever. My memory turned out to be actually pretty accurate, because the first book was published... the year I was born (1992)! But I don't think I'm ever going to rid of them. I still love them so much! (I also have dr.Slump and What's Michael? collections).

@ZenFighter - Nice to know there are still some fellow Sailor Moon fans out there!

Got some extra sleep again today, but this time I feel refreshed instead of tired :gotq: . I'm going to give up trying to work out how my body works, on to exercises:-

Universal Warmup done,
30 Count Tree Pose Hold (EotD) done (My balance wasn't too bad today),
Virgo (Replacement WotD) done (3 sets),
Day 12 of Square One done (3 sets),
Day 23 of Wall Push-Ups done,
Back Pain Relief done,
Happy Feet done,
Hand Mobility done.

Had a very lazy day yesterday, all I did was watch a series called ID: Invaded. It was an anime about a special police taskforce that investigated serial killers by exploring their dreams, it was really good even though they did an incredibly poor job of disguising the big twist reveal.
Going to try and be more active today, see y'all tomorrow!
