An excellent day! The weather was great so we did garden stuff: cut half of the hedge by a lot, which is why we only managed half of it, and I emptied the ready compost onto several plants. Now the bin has space for more vegetable scraps! We replaced the toilet seat, and something else I can't remember now.
My partner is feeling better, and tomorrow we'll see each other again. Yay!

What a day! I was working from my city apartment because the workers were coming to fix the blinds. My partner is here too, and as I didn't have a lot of work to do we started cleaning the apartment. We only wanted to clean one thing, but that thing led to another and so in the end we cleaned everything. So much crap I had accumulated!

I forgot to mention that yesterday I canned 8 jars of soup like I always do, and when I took the first one out it exploded! That had never happened before and I hope it never does again... So much cleaning. Luckily no injuries nor damage.

Maybe this morning I will seed some more things. Lettuce? I think it's still too early for the cabbages.

One time I opened a homemade bottle of wine and afterwards needed to repaint the ceiling!
I'm glad your soup incident at least did not result in injury. But I'm sorry for the cleanup and the loss of soup. I can relate.

A good day so far! It's carnival Tuesday which means it's a half day at work, and it's a beautiful sunny day, so I'll leave soon and meet my partner and we'll go to the park and enjoy the weather.

The park was great, I we had a nice walk and then sat in the sun and read. I finished "Orbital" and it was really good, well deserved prize in my view.

Today was a normal office day and we made pad Thai for dinner. So tasty!!
We also have started our lent (even though we're not religious, we use it as an incentive to be good) which means no cookies or other sweet things in the office for me, no ice cream for my partner, and low carbs overall. Was pad Thai in line with this? I reduced the sugar in the sauce and it was rice noodles so I'd say it was ok.

@Set Monje you're right, ofc! I wrote that after a glass or two of wine, my only excuse for the silliness. Still, we're just trying to reduce the amount of bread and pasta we eat, not to eliminate carbs completely.

Today was a lovely day! Finally my girlfriends and I managed to go to the sauna, after almost a year of plans cancelled at the last minute. It was really nice and I also got a Thai massage which was really good.
Now finally back home to my husband, at least we had a nice dinner together.

I might still get started on a skirt I want to make, but I started a new book (Bridgerton! I have not seen the show but the hardcover was so pretty I had to buy the first one, and the story is just what I needed now so I ordered the rest of the books too) so I might just read instead of sewing.

Today we drove back home. It was a short vacation but it was nice! Before we left I helped my mum and her husband with fixing the kitchen door. They couldn't lift it, while I did it alone with zero effort. It's sad when you see your parents are getting old.

Gardening day! It was a lovely sunny day and my husband was working on the battery, so I was free to do all the gardening I wanted! I enlarged the flower bed by the new pergola and put down some paving stones for the entrance. It looks great! Then I moved a couple of butterfly bushes (buddleia) which had come up spontaneously, but they'd have been torn on Saturday when the crane will come down. So I put a couple in the corners of the vegetable garden, and two in the new flower bed. Then I walked to the supermarket and lucky I did! Because in the neighbors' garden I saw a fully grown butterfly bush and it's enormous! Definitely not appropriate for the flower bed, so I pulled them up and into pots. When the garden is ready they'll get a spot.
