TREASURE HUNT 2025

You stumble upon a treasure map - five locked chests scattered across the landscape, each at a different distance.

Each chest can be unlocked, but only if enough adventurers reach it before the 72-hour window closes. The path you take is up to you - march steps or high knees will move you forward. Some chests are closer, others require more effort. You won’t know what’s inside until it opens.

Choose your chest wisely. Follow your gut, commit to the journey, and see if your steps lead to treasure.

How to Move

You can choose between:
High Knees - faster but more intense
March Steps - easier but slower

2 Steps = 2 High Knees (L+R) = 2 March Steps (L+R)

You can mix and match both however you like.​

FAQ

Can I choose more than one chest?
Nope! One path only. Choose wisely.

Can I change my mind and head toward a different chest?
Yes, you can! But you'll need to backtrack the same number of steps you’ve already taken before you can begin moving toward a new chest. You can change directions at any time - as long as there’s still time left on the clock.

Can my family or friends join too?
Yes! Just post their names when they complete their steps.​

Woke up at the crack of noon, made up some coffee and took it easy in my lil' meadow. Gotta have time to sniff the flowers, right?

But with a howl I was off! With only a few pauses because that was a pretty rock!, or there goes a bird!, was that a deer? But slowly the trees grew thicker and I realized I was in the forest proper. And happy to see I'm not the only one there.

Now to relax for a bit, get a bit more coffee (of course, I'll share with any who wishes), and think of a game plan. I may walk around the parameter tomorrow in search of a key. Or a big rock to break the chest with. (AKA, if I remember, I may do extra steps tomorrow because it's a good workout.) And see if I can get the mate to join in so we can have one more person for it.

Yes, but I was busy running around because of other hunters swarming all over the mountain.
Only you have made climbing up the slope with 50 climbers. I saw that and made 60 climbers and catch you. Now you have to do 10 push-ups to push me down the slope.

Just going to toss this out, if you walked to the Factory or the Beach yesterday afternoon/evening, your name may be past the red line of us opening the chest. If you're up for it, you could walk back to the start and then go and try to get closer to opening one of the other chests.

Right now we're 5 over on the factory and 3 over on the beach. If 3 of those walk back to the start and then head to the mountains we'd have that chest open too.

Took a look around the factory and to tell the truth ut was slightly boring there, so I went for a loooong walk, away from the factory (800 March steps) and went towards the swamp (400 March steps). When I arrived went and pet the swamp kittens and snuggled the danger noodles and reached the treasure chest right at coffee time! So I found a nice place to have my break️️ and some hot coffee and cookies.

I looked around and decided that the Factory was cool but that nature calls me. I'll be walking back and traveling to another location. I'll see what needs help when I make it back to the map to find my path again.

You are completely right. I'm actually number 15 on the beach list, but I guess a few of us could go back and try helping open another chest.

But on the other hand: In Darebee land, I'm on the freaking beach. I'm absolutely not leaving to go to some swamp. Worst-case beach is still better than best-case swamp (excluding tsunamis or exploding whales).

In reality land, I went to yoga class this morning and then after work went to the toy store with my two girls to spend the money the Easter Bunny brought. I have yet to cook dinner. I'm not taking another step today that is not absolutely necessary.

I returned from the mountain 600 steps to complain to Khaleese Neila, but they said she was busy cooking special and delicious dishes that were a surprise for the participants of the hunt. When I insisted, they kicked me out.
All I had left to do was walk again 500 steps to the forest, where the good fairies and my old friends are, who will always listen to me and understand me.

That´s exactly why I went to the forest in the first place That and the people who are already there. Plus, why go to the beach? It´s sunny and warm and the sand!

Once upon a time I caught a goldfish, and it said it would grant me one wish if I let it go. I wished my wife looked ten years younger than me. She said its done, and I let her go. When I got home I looked at the wife and she looked the same. I felt cheated. And then I looked in the mirror and saw that I had aged ten years, my hair had gone and my beard had turned gray. I haven't messed with magic since.
I am mourning the Wolfie now, but maybe I'll switch to cats. Are there cats, cougars, tigers, panthers here in forest?

Sure, there´s all kinds of cats in the forest. From huge predatory sabre cats to those fluffy pallas cat thingies. How can they be soooo fluffy?
