The wind was "moderate gale" last night.
So I mostly listened to the ancient roof of our house banging :eyes:
It didn't do any harm, except my anxiety :LOL:
However... the words "moderate" and "gale" do not go together.

Good grief, I hate high winds. Glad everything is ok. I used to live where there were very occasional blizzards and I don't miss it AT ALL.

Good grief, I hate high winds. Glad everything is ok. I used to live where there were very occasional blizzards and I don't miss it AT ALL.
Where I live is not a windy area but with climate change everything has become more extreme :(

I go to the gym on foot, since it's 800 m from my house but yesterday between the wind and the pouring rain it wasn't the case, so no Muay Thai.
However, I slept reasonably despite the strong wind, which could be heard even through the soundproof windows.
I'm making progress in managing stress in situations where I can't do anything :LOL:

Active recovery... still working on that
I have always underestimated active recovery and instead it makes a big difference in being able to maintain a healthy and long-lasting training routine :)

The challenge I did this month went very well, I like to do a monthly challenge, it brings me back to when every month I completed a program and a challenge, it gives a sense of completeness, conclusion and satisfaction :)
Starting tomorrow I will start the December challenge with slow butt kicks for 1 min, perfect to make sure you do them every day.

Fit December confirms itself as an excellent program, not too little, not too much, 10 minutes of excellent daily training (without rest), perfect for a chaotic, frenetic and stressful period like December :)

I'm not sick but I'm not well either, I'm in that initial phase of the flu that if neglected leads to a full flu and if instead caught in time and not underestimated with a little patience it resolves itself without great upheavals.
So I'll be good and stay quiet until I'm completely healed :)

I'm thinking about a couple of things.
I realized that I needed to regenerate before my body weakens, it's a good thing I realized it earlier, it will be even better for next year to already plan a healthy slowdown for December.
The second thing I'm mulling over is how much our December frenzy clashes with the natural rhythm of the season, when we should be calmer we get more agitated :LOL:
I'll take the rest of the week to recover, today my nose is a bit runny, basically I'm specializing in the beginning of flu and half flus, always better than a bad flu all over again :LOL:

Yes, it is supposed to be a time for reflection - let the seed inside evolve so that it can die and germinate ; ressource, whatever your spiritual path or mind path is. But we end up racing and worrying about food, presents, decoration... Fun too but not quite what the season and the body ask for. It takes some mindfulness to slow down and enjoy the advent / winter season / winter solstice!
(taking time for a real cup of tea early afternoon, and listening to Dave Brubeck's "la fiesta de la posada" are two of my winter rituals to slow down ;) )
