I've been mulling over what might have inflamed my shoulder and the only thing that came to mind that I didn't pay particular attention to was the elbow plank challenge, so since it's the part of the workout that interests me the least I abandon the challenge.
It's a shame because my wife told me that the side abs were starting to show :LOL:

The shoulder is fine but to be safe I did extra mobility and stretching :)
I would like to introduce pull-ups and push-ups into my training when I don't go to the gym, on alternate days, so I'll do some experiments and adjustments.
My idea this time is to give my body all the time it needs to get used to lifting weights in the gym but also continue to train the bodyweight exercises that I find fundamental, let's see if I can find a balance that works :LOL:
Today, for example, I learned that it is not good to do strength exercises during the rest, reducing it from 1 minute to 30 seconds is too little, so I will do pull-ups or push-ups at the end of the set and I will keep 1 minute of rest between the sets which it's a good compromise.

My shoulders are fine, warming up for 10 minutes and stretching for 10 minutes are a good compromise that allows me to stress them a little more but without hurting myself :)
With 1 minute of effective rest the training works better, I have always underestimated the rest and instead it is one of those factors that makes the difference in maintaining high quality and rhythm of the exercises.
In the next home workouts I will try to do strength exercises (push-ups or pull-ups) at the beginning of the set instead of at the end.

I resisted the temptation to lighten the initial warmup and final stretching because if I want this change for the better for my shoulders to work I have to do it in the best way and therefore also do all those complementary exercises that allow me not to inflame my shoulder and continue to train with sensible and beneficial progressions :)

I really like the idea and the simplicity but I kind of miss the sets, the timer for the rest and a precise number of repetitions to follow.
So I ended up doing 7 sets of 80 reps with a total of 560 kicks :LOL:

Maybe I'm getting the gym workout right this time :LOL:
After a month of training in the gym twice a week, the training is working and I have no pain in my joints, just a little stiff back also because it is too hot to do all the stretching I would need.
For me it works better to do more reps with lighter weights than aiming for heavier weights.
My goal is to build a good foundation of strength that I can then build on :)

Given the result obtained by improving warmup and stretching for my shoulders now I will try to resolve the stiffness in the lumbar area of the back that has been bothering me for a while :)
The best lower back workout I've tried is: Hips & Glutes Stretch Workout, but it needs a warmup to express its best, this evening I will try to use the yoga sun salutation as a warmup.

The training is working well, shoulders are fine, back is improving. The extra warmup and extra stretching are paying off well, so much so that I'm increasing my reps in the gym :)
So I'll keep things as they are and not mess around :P
But I can think a lot about how to improve even more :LOL:

Since things are going well I have reduced the warmup and stretching on the days when I don't have resistance training, partly because I don't always feel like doing 20 minutes between warmup and stretching and partly because with the heat it makes you sweat just to exist. :LOL:
