The first Wednesday of gardening went well, I didn't overdo it with the load, I didn't have much allergy, so I had fun and since I was good my wife made me a cream cake with strawberries :LOL:
I'm trying to reproduce the raspberry by burying part of a branch so that it takes root and becomes a new plant, I'm curious to see if it works. :)

The cream tart still lacks strawberries but while waiting for it to cool we enjoyed the biscuits :LOL:
Even the little glasses with biscuit crumble and cream on top will be ready this evening :)
The cream is made with vegetable milk, turmeric to give it color and the zest of one of our lemons to flavor it.

I'm surprised you need to try to reproduce the raspberries with the branch trick... I have trouble keeping up with the raspberries because they just send out more and more shoots every spring!

I'm surprised you need to try to reproduce the raspberries with the branch trick... I have trouble keeping up with the raspberries because they just send out more and more shoots every spring!
I purposely planted just one raspberry plant and one blackberry plant last year, one on each side, so that they wouldn't become too invasive right away.
The space available isn't much and the soil is difficult between clayey soil and rocks, three plants on each side would be more than enough but I wanted to make sure first that they would survive and be happy :)
So I'm taking it easy to understand how to do it, planting the branch in the ground was one of the simplest ways to multiply the plants without risking anything.

No gardening today because of the bad weather but I had a look around anyway and there are some interesting things going on.
The soil is a bit peculiar, clayey, not to mention the old paving stones that are under a layer of earth that has settled on top.
So after several attempts to civilize the garden I have adopted a philosophy of live and let live, I do some experiments, what survives I look after and if something unexpected comes up I look after that too :LOL:
Several patches of scented geranium are appearing around the garden and I plan to grow them.
This variety of scented geranium is invasive, produces small flowers and tends to form shrubs that grow to a wooden trunk.
I have already tried in the past to let it grow as it pleased but it swallows up everything in its path and weeds grow in the middle, so it needs to be kept under control a bit.
In short, like everything in our old house, the garden has also developed its own peculiar personality. :)

That reminds me that time we put a stick on a bell pepper to hold the plant up due to the weight of the peppers themselves. That plant died, but the stick remained there. We didn't think anything about that stick, until it started to grow leaves. That random stick that looked to be just a giant toothpick was actually a pennyroyal stick, and it came to life.

Today I wanted to test myself.
I had been playing it safe in training for a week, for various reasons.
So I chose a tough workout and added the 700 steps as active rest between sets, not doing any rest at all:
280 squats
140 push-ups
560 kicks
560 punches
700 march steps
in 45 minutes.
It went well, I'm satisfied, it was a tough training but I held up well :)

I anticipated and did Gardening Tuesday, the grass is not yet tall enough to cut and I had no particular work to do, so I pulled out some weeds and did a check of the plants: they are all fine, even the recently planted ones :)
The small square of the back garden is becoming a plantation of nettles :eyes:
The nettle macerate can be used as a fertilizer and then herbal teas can be made with the leaves :devil:

I've been messing around with Darebee's combat workouts, modifying them as needed to keep the focus of this month which is Hindu Squats and I have to say it's going well, I'm having fun and keeping up with the planned training trend. :)
