Thursday January 12th
I had an appointment with my manager. Said that I just don't have enough time for the work I get. 2 options: I get less work, or I get more time. He gives me a free pass to deny work requests, and I am free to work extra. So basically he gave me control. Weird how much air that gives, even though I am not going to work less or be less stressed.
I still need to figure out how to eat better and go to bed earlier. I am thinking of cooking larger portions and put meals in the freezer. But I don't know when to do that..

Saturday January 14th
Yesterday I forgot to mention the 52 high knees I did, so added them.
Today was a busy day: went to the store with my mom (she was all stressed out because they're working on the streets, she thought she wouldn't be able to walk to the store, but the problem turned out to be minor), did my run and then helpen my niece planning her wedding day. Went home for a series I wanted to watch.
Now it's late and I'm too tired to do a workout.

▪️  Run 6.45 km. ZR S1M10. 2 zombies evaded. This run went really well, despite the pouring rain. And I'm proud I went anyway

Sunday January 15th
I am conflicted about my hiking training schedule. I made a neat plan, which builds up gradually for my next vacation. Today was 7 km. But today my friend wanted to walk, but only her known round of 5.5 km. I didn't want to be strongheaded, and it was nice to walk together in the first sunny morning since a week. But it also means that my training plan will be seriously messed up, because now it's still dark outside, I can only hike on Saturday or Sunday. Socially it was a good choice to not make trouble about it. But training wise and injury wise it wasn't. Today I chose social was more important. But I also hope that I finally can have a vacation without injury troubles.

Monday January 23rd
I heard this morning a former co-student was graduating today, so I went to her graduation presentation in which she told about her research. It was interesting and nice to see her again.
But, it also meant that my plan got screwed up. Went home at 8.30 pm, still had to do some grocery shopping and needed to do my daily walk, exercising and going to sleep before 10pm. I chose a short workout and skipped logging here, so I was in bed in time.

Tuesday January 24th
Didn't sleep very well. I think I was still too busy in my mind before sleep, even though I meditated. So woke up at 4 am, and after that I had a bad nightmare which lasted forever..
I went to the movies with a friend in the evening, the 'sneak peak': they play a movie that's not officially out, and you don't know which movie you will see before it starts. It turned out to be The Banshees of Inisherin. It was interesting, but really slow (the first hour nothing happens) and there are some very gross and horrific scenes.
It was a late night tonight, but tomorrow is my free day so its okay.

Wednesday January 25th
I was afraid I would have nightmares about the movie last night, but luckily not.
This morning I had an appointment in the door shop, to choose a new door. When I was searching on the internet, there were a few basic options, so that was what I was thinking about. But in the shop EVERYTHING turns out to be possible..... too many options.. so I took some pictures, I got 3 thick catalogs, and I will go back when I know what I want 😅.
I have an idea, but the details (colors, glass types) is something I have to try out at home.

I have a bit of a mental challenge. My mind is so chaotic (more than usual, I am alsways chaotic 😅), there's so much I have to do both at home and at work, and I want to do social things too, but I have no idea how to get things in order. What doesn't help, is that I just Forget things. Like after my run, I wanted to go to the store to get dinner and breakfast for tomorrow, but while driving I drove home. Luckily I realised it when I was only a corner away from home, but it frustrates me. Yesterday I forgot to take the tea and biscuits I bought for work, even though it was in a bag ready to be taken. I lose my phone and my keys and ... etc.
I hope it will be better when I get more sleep.

My great-nephew has broken his lower leg earlier this week. He's just 1.5 years old, so sad.. sent him a balloon, and my niece told me he loves it. Yesterday he got a cast with which he can walk around again, luckily. The poor child was getting so frustrated!

I sleep very restless. Maybe it is because I don't wind down enough before sleep, at least my mind is really busy and meditation doesn't help getting restful sleep. Maybe I should still read something before turning off the lights, even though that means I will slaap later; having good sleep quality is more precious than 30 minutes extra quantity. I'll try that next week.
