Pain at that level is not normal. And if she has a cancer history... I would ask for her oncologist to see her,or at least call him or her to take her or his advice... If it's "just" the hip being displaced it should be triggered by walking/standing/turning... There are ways to tell. At least she should get a Xray to know if there are no bone metastasis involved (or another exam to rule that out I don't know them all). What I know is that normally your hip bone doesn't break from falling down (your femoral bone can but the hip needs a stronger trauma) so if the hip itself is broken maybe there's a possibility she has osteoporosis and that needs to be treated.
Know that I'm completely out of my league here because I'm only a physiotherapist (and I'm specialized in perineal reeducation, not hip trauma) but if my mom had what you describe about your mom I'd be worried and unsatisfied about not knowing more too...
I hope you both get answers and an appropriate treatment 🤞🤞🤞

Tuesday February 21st
Yesterday my mom had her last tramadol and acetaminophen. Today she still has no pain, and she was talkative on the phone again, so I'm happy. Still no clue on what was wrong though 🤷🏼‍♀️. She spoke with her GP this afternoon, and she got an appointment for next week to check her sugar levels. I'm also happy the doc finally takes that seriously. Fingers crossed 🤞

Wednesday February 22nd
I had a kind of total rest day with series binging. But I also went out for my run and made soup. Unfortunately I didn't think clearly and made the soup so sharp, it's not eatable 😖 I tried to save it with extra cream but no luck..
I needed the rest day, but I also have a lot of tasks spinning through my mind. I am sleeping restless and my mind loses the feeling of control, even though I have a task app with reminderd. I'm in search of balance. 1 day at a time I guess

Thursday February 23rd
I took the afternoon off 😊 and went for a short hike. At home I played the piano ^^
I made the soup again, but with much less spice. It's still a bit spicy, but with crème fraîche it was good.
My mom texted she had the pain again this morning, but with acetaminophen it subsided.. I don't have a good feeling about it coming back suddenly. And I don't handle uncertainty well, I want to understand what's going on.
As a nice closure of the day, I had to tell someone he didn't come through probation due to major malfunctioning. And all he did was coming up with excuses (like he got a small phone and couldn't call me because of it to ask something, but today all numbers are saved inside it so he can call. While 1. He did call me on Monday with that particular phone. And 2. There are other ways to reach me like email or even a paper note on my desk...).

Sorry to read your mother's pain is back. I don't know tha treatment she's on but some meds have an action over a longer time (and take a longer time to activate sometimes as well) than others. So maybe if she's on and off she'll be on and off the pain with a little lapse of time in between (her doctors should know if that's the case). Anyway I understand how worrisome the situation is for both of you... I hope you get answers soon... :hug:

Was home really late, so did inly a quick workout.

I went to my cousin today, she lives near the coast so we hiked in the dune national park and we ate pancakes as lunch.

Running went really well, I notice improvement on the hills.
Tonight I went to Beauty and the Beast by Cinema in Concert (they played the 2017 movie on big screenand an orchestra played the music live), and it was .. so awesome. I litterally had goosebumps and tears, I was so moved by the beauty and .. everything. The orchestra was truly amazing.

Wednesday March 1st
Today it was a bit cold, but sunny and the sun is getting warmer. My run went great 😁. I spent a large part of the day planning my next vacation. It's not up until a couple of months, but I love planning and the joy of anticipation.
I did a short stroll to the hairdresser to get my hair cut. It was extremely long, it's way shorter but still halfway my back. It looks decent again.

Last night, a car alarm went off, on and off, during the whole night! :shakez:
Work is crazy. Usually I do pretty great on crazy, but now my head is chaos and I am constantly getting hit by flashes of unfinished tasks, so I keep emailing myself on my work mail so I won't forget tomorrow. And it makes me feel like what else am I forgetting I'm not having flashes about?

Friday March 3rd
Badge day!
I had a rough night, but this time I was the problem. Woke up at 1 am, thinking about things at work over and over. Tried to distract myself, got out of bed for a short time, tried meditation and music, but nothing helped. But repositioning myself in bed and curling up around Pico made me fall asleep in the end and I slept until the alarm went off.
