Planned Rest Day
:heart: I attended a retreat. The morning consisted of guided meditation and centering practice followed by about 90 minutes for silent meditation and reflection. The afternoon was a workshop on emotional and spiritual practices. While there, i was also able to a bit of yoga and take a little 1 mile hike after lunch.

~Headed out before dawn for a snowy, icy drive to the airport to drop off husband, who went back to Texas; waited for an hour and picked up daughter & family, who are home after a week in Boston.

It really isn't too impressive; i have a lot of time to myself for one thing. Also, i am a mood reader, so i often have 2 or 3 very different books going at once. The three i started yesterday are:
  1. All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy
  2. Jane of Lantern Hill by Lucy Maud Montgomery,
  3. Holy Moments by Matthew Kelly (which is sort of a devotional/inspirational/self-help? book that i found at a Little Free Library, and i am just reading a short section each day.

~had a poor night's sleep, and then (of course) my 16 month old grandson woke up an hour early, and his mama needed to get ready for work, so no time for my early morning routine. It ended up being a light day, but i got everything in. *(except the exercise of the day~oops)
