So you're learning with another book now? Which one? I still need some "traditional" learning and practising in addition to me playing songs all the time and trying to figure stuff out as I go.
I think When I Come Around is another easy but fun song on the Bass. Dookie is my single favourite album from Green Day, but Basket Case seemed pretty hard the last time I made an attempt at it.

I think When I Come Around is another easy but fun song on the Bass. Dookie is my single favourite album from Green Day, but Basket Case seemed pretty hard the last time I made an attempt at it.
It's the second book of the same "series", if you can two parts already that...
Dookie is my favourite album, too.*
But it's in "Eb"-tuning and I don't like to tune down my bass for "just that"... maybe someday...

*I can't say I dislike the newer songs, but the last album I binged was nimrod... after that I lost interest, somehow ...

The Eb-tuning is a fun one. Many Weezer songs are in that tuning and they're a lot of fun to play. Song 2 is in Eb, too.
Or, you know, buy a second bass for an alternative tuning and just switch basses :confused:
I'm not the biggest Green Day fan, but I lost interest after American Idiot. But Dookie was fun all around.

Hey folks,
haven't been too active here lately, most of all, because it was and is a busy time. Here is a little summary in addition to my weekly logs:

In June/July, I restarted riding the bike to work more often and it went well, due to a more comfortable saddle. I hope I am able to continue, when the new School year starts in September.

Climbing is still my strength training, at least once a week. Only, my wrist is still acting up, from time to time, in certain situations. It would help, if I stretch it out more often...

Running is going smoothly, too. Recently I added the {runner prime} program to my list to add a bit of overall training, but I am not really following it on a daily basis, yet.

I changed my log, to a weekly summary cause it is less time consuming and provides more overview.

That's it for now, hoping everyone is alright.
