10/29/2024:

Today was a good day.

Got into work early...and my computer wouldn't wake up. The hard drive died.

And my favorite part is that every day for over a month, I've had my laptop with me so I could watch training videos with my earbuds if found time.

Today, I said I'm definitely not having time for that so I don't feel like bringing it.

So of course the thing died today. Thought about going home to get the laptop and then was like, nah.

So I took it as a sign from the universe to take a break and I had to wait a few hours to be back in business.

And then even with that I can only receive and not send emails. I'm ok with that, LOL.

Just feel bad my coworkers in my area had to keep hearing me tell people about it, but oh well.

10/30/2024:

Thank you everyone!

Today was a good day. Very pleasant

Still can't send emails so that helped me be able to get more things done.

I was wrong about my re-boss being disappointed in me and then I was half incorrectly assuming something else again with the NH person. That person gets to do a lot of travelling and I there is another project I'm waiting on her to do a part so I was worried I was missing out on other things, but I have the more challenging math parts to do so why sweat the anyone can do them BS.

Tomorrow is Halloween. I'm at a new to me company and a few weeks ago the one girl said no one dresses up. Then one of the guys the other day said, we usually do light stuff like ears, not full costumes. So I was going to wear my cat ears.

Then my third boss asked if we were doing costumes. I was bummed. I only have a hot dog costume & a prisoner outfit I never wore. Both were costumes I got when I was fat. I would have totally went and got a Minnie Mouse one or something, lol.

So next year, me and the one girl that sits by me that loves my outfits and is a fashionista herself are going to coordinate something.

But tonight I was looking for something to wear with my cat ears, and having just switched my summer/winter clothes, all I could see was this sparkling red glitter dress I bought while drunk a couple weeks ago.

I saw it and thought about this fancy December event I was previously invited to for a few years, that I would skip because I didn't like what the person who coordinated the invites did to my re-boss.

Well anyway I bought the dress thinking about that. Again I was drunk.

So although I'm sure people at my new company also go since it's an industry event, I have to be realistic and there really is no chance I will be one of the people able to go.

And my husband and I don't really have people in our lives so there is really no other opportunities like weddings to have my own somewhere nice to go to.

Reminds me of when I was younger and I spent a bit of my inheritance buying "date clothes" for this guy I thought wanted to be my end game. And I never got one actual date (it was a three year thing and I couldn't get away from someone else so it was always late nights).

Plus, he was a DJ who would also do that at the town go-go bar (no I didn't go) and when I was showing him some of my top pieces, in typical Pisces man fashion, he goes, 'I like girls in plain white cotton panties'.

I'm like...REALLY. You're in the strip club as much as you are and that is what you like? Sure.

Ok, now I'm going off on a tangent, there is a bit of a prophecy and a lot of back story I don't feel like getting into there...

So anyway, this red dress was sparkling, it's classy, no cleavage at all and it's knee length. Just glittery like Christmas.

I decided I should be a devil!

Of course, I couldn't find any devil ears. My husband volunteered to go to a Halloween store for me and got me sparkly ears & a sparkly pitchfork.

So happy! At least I can say I wore my new dress once. :D

And in case others think it's too much, I'll bring my Juicy velvet track suit and my cat ears which I'm going to change into to do my laps around the college anyway.

So now I'm excited for tomorrow. Plus I'm going to bring candy for everyone.

Thank you again everyone!

Also Happy Halloween!

:pumpkin:

Today was a great day. Very hard to concentrate, but very nice all of the same.

Loved my impromptu costume so much.

I actually did a 2nd one for when I went to the college. Just wore all tight black and threw the cat ears on, but it was fun to be Halloween all day and I even drove with my devil ears on.

Here's me and my favorite co-worker.

Halloween Devil.jpg

And this coworker won Halloween as far as I'm concerned. She was walking around giving hard stares and stayed in character. She's half smiling here, sas so much creepier before that. She did it right! :)

Halloween Devil 2.jpg

And this one they took it small, but just to show my shoes. Cut the others out to post on another site they might not have appreciated being on, lol.

I normally wear heels half that height. This is my 2nd time wearing these shoes I had for 5-7 years. Lived in ones like these in my 20s, but not being used to it anymore, they won't be in my daily rotation. LOL

But on a plus side, it was a good leg workout.

Halloween Devil 3.jpg

Oh and here is me doing my laps at the college. The whole outfit was cute, but could only selfie.

Halloween Kitty.jpg

Wanted to work on manifesting some stuff tonight with the New Moon. This one is supposed to be good for the next 6 months for new beginnings & career, but my husband is off tomorrow so no alone time. Drats, I have some good intentions and wanted to try to push away bad vibes I can't seem to shake. Sigh.

But hubby did so good handing out the candy to the kids so I can't complain. He did it for hours and just sat outside. He looked happy on the cam and got lots of steps going up to meet the kids half way. He got over 10,000 steps today doing that. lo.

So goodbye Halloween, we will do it less rushed and more coordinated with the others next year. :)

Also, no Halloween songs randomly popped on, but this one did when I was near home. It's very piratey so it fits the bill for something today. LOL

11/1/2024:

Thank you @JCU & @Anek! :ss:

Friday was a nice day and this weekend has been nice.

Friday I had to stay my new record latest, but glad I fixed something before leaving so I didn't have to think about it.

Was very behind in emails before leaving, and don't have my laptop back from our IT guy, so Monday is going to be a challenge I don't feel like dealing with already.

Even worse, with my Outlook still being broken, I'm not able to file most completed things since half is on one account and the other half is on another and I have to use a web service on the one half so I can't drag them where they need to go. It's driving me crazy.

But I have a dermatologist appointment after work, so I'm not staying tomorrow. :p

Yesterday, we went to something called Baconfest in a town close to us in Pennsylvania. We went early enough that we got to leave before the big crowds got there. I had a bit of everything I wanted to have like a mac & cheese and a waffle. Everything I had was good and I didn't gain as much as usual for a Saturday. Maybe because with that, we had a nice two hour walk. lol

Miyagi actually cuddled with me last night. Not a spoon, but I woke up and he was against my back thighs sleeping on my foot. I was on my side with one bent leg, he let me take the foot back, was purring and stayed by me.

Progress.

11/4/2024:

Thank you @NancyTree & @Laura Rainbow Dragon, needed that!

Today was an ok day.

Started off well enough. Got through my morning chores like a breeze, Miyagi timed well and was able to leave a little earlier.

My computer was back up and got my laptop back...was pretty stoked about that, but then was not able to keep up with anything.

Not too surprised, I was behind by over half a day, but now I'm behind even more.

And things are supposed to get easier as you go, but the monthly closing is now harder because they had a guy change a report and now it's even weirder.

And the lady that hates me now knows about my other email, so that is no longer safe. And of course, they "fixed" my normal email today and multiple internal and external people reported to me that I don't exist.

Cause of course I don't.

So I was really depressed most of the day, this is a losing battle I will never be able to win, but I'm done trying. So now every time my files get fucked up, I'm just going to say, 'of course it's wrong, I'm an incompetent'.

And I'm not the only girl this lady screws with. My other coworker always answers her calls on speaker phone. The other day she said she does that when people are evil so we can hear how she's being talked down to as well. So at least I'm not singled out by this lady at least. (I guess, lol).

There was never going to be room for me on the inside anyway, so it doesn't matter.

So I'll just keep asking for guidance and the universe to lead me to something for me. I want more of a life than work anyway. lol

I know I sound like a Debbie downer here, but I'm really trying to be the reverse. Tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to try harder to not care about what I have no control over.

I already proved I have excellent control over myself, just have to fine tune it to keep more things to myself.:peace:

And Miyagi is under my ottoman. I drape a blanket over the edge so it's like a fort for him.

No, you will not! This sort of thing gets me so cross! Never put yourself down. There are enough people out in the world trying to do just that; you don't need to help them. You're not incompetent, and don't let anyone make you think you are. How can this woman continue to operate the way she does? Can't she be called out? Sounds to me like bullying and harrasment in the workplace. I don't know your laws, but here we don't put up with that. Sorry to have to be the one to tell you but the universe doesn't really give a toss. It's all up to you. And from what I've read, you're intelligent and capable and I believe you can deal with this.
Now you've just got to believe that too.

I agree with @TopNotch

It makes me sad to think that you would say that about yourself. You don't deserve the treatment you are getting, and you shouldn't train your brain to accept it and internalise it as your fault.

If you can't prove the bullying directly, I would make sure to politely and professionally email your bosses whenever there are these sudden and unreasonable issues. You don't have to point a finger, but if enough of this stuff goes wrong and is publicly known, they will have to address the department responsible for handling that (and thus confront the weird person).

"Hello Boss,
It has come to my attention that while my email has been restored, a significant amount of my colleagues are still not able to contact me. It is hindering me in performing my job to a satisfactory standards. Could you make sure that my colleagues receive the correct contact information?
Thank you for your help in this matter,
Meow"

Your bosses want your work to go smoothly, it is in their best interest and is also literally their job to make sure you can do your work properly. Let them know when something hinders your ability to do your work.

We have your back, and so should they :heartsit:

Yup! And Yup!

Please listen to your fellow wise Bees @TopNotch and @Maegaranthelas and not a negative internal monologue that has become confused by all of the nonsense you have been having to deal with at work.

Workplace harassment and bullying is horrible. It is exhausting to have to deal with it long term. But being the victim of it is not your fault! Please try to stay strong in your own confidence in yourself. Certainly things you have shared recently suggest your bosses respect you and value your contributions to the team. Try to hold onto this, not the nonsense that one person is dishing.

You are worth so much more than this. I am so sorry that you are being harassed like this. Do not blame yourself. You sound like an upbeat, confident, and competent worker. Do not let her bullying feed into your inner monologue.

11/5/2024:

Thank you everyone! I assure you though no one has called me that and I don't think that. I was writing sarcastically as I would be saying that very sarcastically if I did say that out loud.

That lady just messes up the files and blocks people. I don't get in trouble for it, I just look sloppy, which contradicts my history.

My re-boss & the president get a different version of this person and they genuinely do not believe she would be malicious. The things she has said they think she's kidding and note she's part autistic.

My boss for what I'm hired for, unfortunately gets the same crap from this lady, so he sticks up for me a lot with my re-boss.

But I appreciate the shake up, as you are right, I shouldn't say things like that. ;)

And I have been bus chucking that lady left and right. I think I've done it enough to the point it's making me look crazy which is why I feel like I should hold back more. But on a positive, my emails are now blocking the people I work with from another state, including my re-boss.

I now have two other IT people involved. They haven't fixed it either, but I made what I need corrected from them known. Including unblocking the vendor from the other software company and why I know it was not automatically blocked.

Now I am just worried about if my 2nd email starts behaving the same as I know that will not be a coincidence. Only time will tell on that.

Today was a good day.

Besides what I noted above, and hopefully the other IT people can undo that lady's damage, I practiced my not trying.

That doesn't mean doing half assed work. That just means I went to lunch when I felt like it.

I finished a weekly report which I worked on for over 2 hours, then spent another hour on it, before pivoting to do a last minute thing that had the higher priority. (As opposed to just pivoting to do the other thing).

It was also a co-worker's birthday. I had a munchkin, a chocolate covered apple slice and a pineapple piece cut in a flower shape. I have been very good at not having extra indulgent calories during the week, but I gave in. Her husband is diabetic so she couldn't take this stuff home.

Pretty sure I'll be fine tomorrow (of course I will). lol

There was one part my re-boss wanted to give one really tedious thing to the trophy girl from the other state. She's not a bad person, but she's in the job I wanted to have, gets to travel which is why I call her the trophy girl, they show her off, and is in a higher position than me even though I can run circles around her skill wise.

I had to prove myself for a few years with my re-boss and this girl was able to pass me in usefulness rank at 6 months while I was still at the other company and she just hit her year mark with the company as a whole last month. So I'm only jealous for that. Where is her hoop jumping, lol?

She's "corporate" with a fancy title and since the President will never know me from a hole in the wall, she'll do well in a position she gets to smile in all day.

But whatever, at least she's not evil like the nutjob. lol

Anyway, I would have been fine with her taking that over. I basically laughed and said good luck to her. Then he wanted to know why I said that, so I got to show him most of what I was doing, all the cross referencing, and why what the nut job did made it so much worse. Seemed like he understood a little better what I was so mad over at least.

And on an extra positive note, I don't need to care if the rest of this project is wrong, I just need to pick out the active people. Actually glad about that, I don't feel like playing fix it anymore anyway, lol.

So tomorrow I have a lot of catching up on my emails with my main job. Then back to juggling.

Should be able to catch up fairly easily. My re-boss and my third boss will be up north at corporate and busy with the other people.

Sometimes I giggle as I write these, trying to keep it all straight. :imp:

Oh! And Miyagi came out of the ottoman fort last night at a point, asked me to watch him while he ate his treats, then came to sleep on top of the ottoman, where I slept next to him on the couch. He stayed til my husband got up.

Too warm out for that tonight, but it's my favorite part of the weather turning cold. It's coming.

Today was a good day.

Grinded through the day. Still no chance to get everything accomplished, but that's not my fault.

I have a goal set for tomorrow and hope I can accomplish it.

I seriously have Miyagi cuddling my leg right now.

It's summery warm, so not like he's cold. He moved up on the ottoman to be against my leg.

So buzzing right now. It's been a really long time.

Now of course wasn't expecting this. Need to put my laptop on the other side of the couch away.

Typing this from my phone.

Don't want to do anything to disturb him though. He even let me pet him for quite a bit and he normally hates being fussed over.

So I'm just going to enjoy this. :lovely:

11/7/2024:

Today was a good day.

Only got really overwhelmed for about 1/2 hour, but of course it was the second I was needed most and right after I discovered conflicting information in tools I'm supposed to use to make reports.

Always get embarrassed when that happens, but it's more from starting to get scared that I'm going to mess up and being able to be more stoic about it.

Then my boss called and calmed me down, then I calmed him down, lol.

And then I had a nice lunch on a still unusually warm for November in the Northern Hemisphere day.

And later in the day, after an unrelated email from someone, thought someone else was sending a version of what I needed to all the guys I need the info for. That part was wrong, but that person made me something that will be easier for me to use.

So that's a big sigh of relief that will save me hours tomorrow.

Miyagi has been my puppy cat all day (that I've been around anyway).

Here he was in the morning, pissed off at me updating my sites in the morning. He did settle down not long after, then left a bit later after my warm up jog to x300 where I was also playing with a bird on a stick with him. He is still not a fan of my exercising. LOL

20241107_043853.jpg

After work when I got out of the car, he acknowledged me after rolling in dirt and then on the sidewalk. That's how he puts his scent down for the other neighborhood cats who will later roll on his spots so he has to do it all over again.

He's been really chatty the past few days. He's loving the day weather.

And Miyagi is here under the ottoman napping again. I'm starting to feel spoiled and I love it.

From a few hours ago, he's sleepy here and that's my hand blurred from moving, lol.

Thank you @JCU, @PetiteSheWolf, @Maegaranthelas, @TopNotch, @Syrius & @NancyTree! He really is my pretty boy, and he knows it.

Today was a good day.

More of the same, pleasant sunny day, everyone was in a good mood. Got a ton done while not being able to get a ton done at the same time.

Then at the very end of the day, the second email address I have is now blocking me from emailing my re-boss and also my own gmail which was going to be the back door to the nutjob screwing with that account.

I cried for 30 seconds, texted my re-boss about it, then got ready to leave.

Talked to him on the way home. I didn't want that lady to know the other email address & now two days later, after over a month or two of no issues, here we are. Also, he emailed my gmail by accident the day which I'm sure tipped that to the lady. Prior to that, I only used it to forward tiktoks another guy was sending me so I could listen with sound and then also forward pictures of Miyagi to the PC so I could put it in my background slideshow.

He has the other IT people working on it and we want to call the hosters tomorrow. I told him I hope I'm wrong about the lady, but these are pretty MAJOR coincidences. Why would this host block both my bosses, wanting to send them to my spam file, while they are whitelisted and the actual spam gets through with no problems.

Oh, forgot on Friday I got to ask about Trophy Girl to someone who at least met her. She's not evil, but she's not some super nice person either. Basically she acts like she thinks she's a 9 while really being a 6. So I was a bit bothered by the whole her in the seat I wanted to have, but yesterday my husband put it into better perspective.

Sounds more like I'll be in a position where trophy girl will have to be my bitch at a point. Maybe, maybe not, but I'll just keep reminding myself she has to deal with the nutjob way more than I do. LOL

My regular boss also needed me to send samples over the weekend. Didn't have boxes at work so he had me take them home for the post office. Bought a box that ended up being way too big. Ended up going to the office to pack it anyway. Took my husband so it was cool to show him my desk and stuff.

The only box that could fit what we need was a UPS Express box, so I sent it express, did the label there and had my husband drop it off at a center. I don't have room at home for packing & repacking. This stuff leaves a powder behind on surfaces too, so I'm glad I did it there. Easier to clean up & more space.

Before that we went out to another pancake factory place. This one also makes crazy milkshakes, the kind that look good on social media.

I had an oreo cake one. Was soooo good. Got most of the cake done, but only half of my pancakes with berries. Took that for the "Friends of the Backyard". Which they loved. Don't worry, just the pancakes/fruit. I know chocolate is bad for pretty much all animals.

Then I had to do the normal house chores at home then just relaxed.

Tomorrow I have hours of emails to catch up on for notes, logging, etc. Even if I can't answer on them.

I'm not stressing over this. It's comical at this point. They will either do something or they won't. If they don't, it's their problem.

The corporate people, the nutjob & the trophy girl can all have their circle jerk thing going on. I'm no longer interested and I will enjoy not worrying about hoop jumping through nonsense. Let the other people getting the rewards and accolades earn what they have.

Today was a good day.

Had three meetings so I got to feel important, LOL.

Then couldn't get anything done for unexpected day derailments, but at the end of the day, that's not my problem.

:imp:

I don't mind my own self-loathing
And I don't need help from you
I know I'm lonely
But what am I supposed to do?

Today was a good day.

Very behind so I had to skip over almost everyone's threads. Fore some reason that makes me feel guilty, lol.

Was a very pleasant day, knocked out the nonsense without too many problems and learned some things.

My favorite person made an unexpected appearance. Will have to miss him for awhile, but was a nice comforting surprise.

My tertiary boss came back from corporate land where he got promoted to assist half the time. He loves it up there.

Kind of unfortunately for us, we miss him, but he's so happy so we're happy for him.

Then I had the through that he's probably utilizing trophy girl up there and that really bums me out, but I'm actively trying not to think about her. I would be happier if she was split into 14 other things that prevent her from catering to top shelf, and/or did things that are harder than writing greeting cards posing as other people (aka forgery), going to events, country clubs & dinners, but WHATEVER.

Ok, I'll stop now.

Miyagi chose me last night after everything. He went with my hubby before, but he just jumped to look out the living room window.

So hoping he stays in since I'm going to bed in an hour. I better wrap up.

Every day a new deception
Pick your scene and take direction
And on and on I search to connect
But I don't wear a mask and I have no regrets

I am focused on what I am after
The key to the next open chapter

'Cause I found a way
To steal the sun from the sky
Long live that day
That I decided to fly from the inside
