Saturday December 10th
Today 2 friends came over to watch TLOTR 3 and stayed for dinner. I tried a new quiche recipe, which was really good! Almost forgot to add the herbs, but thought about it before it went in the oven, so dish was saved (it would've been really tasteless without it). They wanted to see how I make my drawings, so I drew a peacock while they were chatting. Felt a bit weird and I constantly thought they had to wait too long for me, but they said they were good. In the end it turned out to have taken less than 45 min.
And, I ran for 30 minutes straight! Checked off the 5k badge too in the process! Next week I can start with Zombies Run!
When I went for my run, I accidentally locked Pico out 🙈 I have a digital cat door, and apparently I didn't really think when opening it. At night I keep it shut, so she can't go out to fetch mice and stuff. In the morning I open it. But it has 5 options: closed both ways, open to go out/closed to go in, closed to go out/open to come in, time based, open both ways. There's 1 button to set the option. From open both ways to shut both ways is 1 click. From shut to open both ways is 4. I think I clicked only once instead of 4 while I wanted to open it both ways. So Pico went out, and came back to a closed door. When I came home she sat before the cat door, meowing in a heartbreaking high voice. I felt really bad...

Wednesday December 14th
Today was hospital day. The gastroscopy seems fine, they saw a but of irritation, they took biopsies, results will be back in 2 weeks. So I'm mostly relieved, at least it's not a big tumor. The sedation was a good choice, have experienced as good as nothing. At home fell asleep for a few hours, but then felt good enough to go for a run. I am again so grateful I live so close to nature, I am not allowed to drive but with a less than 10 min walk I am in the national park.
Feels weird to not go to work tomorrow morning while feeling this alert, but they say 24 hours for a reason..

@Lady Celerity thanks! Yes I liked Zero Hero, it's not hard, the workouts are short, but it makes your blood flow still, and I like the RPG style.

Thursday December 15th
I had trouble falling asleep yesterday, I think because I also slept in the afternoon. Had a slow start this morning, though I made some changes in my aquarium to fit in my new piece of wood. I went to work in the afternoon but was still a bit mellow and slow. I think I feel the fatigue of weeks of worries.
At the end of the day when I got up from my desk and started to walk to the door, I hit my knee cap to the point of my desk drawer :shakez: that. Hurt.

@JCU @Anek @Nanna Io You wouldn't guess, but I bumped my knee again this morning, at exactly the same spot, at the knob for the headlights of the car... when I quickly wanted to jump in and out to get my ice scratcher. There's only a very little bruise, almost unnoticeable. Totally not in comparison to how much it hurts 😅

Sunday December 18th
I had a very lovely day. Went to the cinema in the morning, to The Menu. A bit weird but a good watch.
Went running afterwards, it is cold with a chill wind, but with the right clothes it felt pretty nice though.
Then cooked pasta, which was good with a tomato sauce with mince, mixed vegetables and some italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme).
I read a lot, with tonight Pico curling up on my chest. That warms my soul, it feels so special. Obviously I postponed going to bed and I read another chapter to enjoy it a little longer :lovely:
I hope to finish my reading challenge for this year. I'm afraid it's not possible (because that means 1000 pages in 13 days, with work days and holidays), but well, I'll try to read whenever I can.
